HP Probook 450 G0: No display/blank screen

Customer complains that the laptop turns on but screen does not show anything (black and white). Connect an external monitor still nothing happens.

What is the way forward?

Claims customers checked and confirmed.

1 nothing tried hard reset (unplug the power, remove the battery and all the connected devices and then press the power button for 20 sec).

2. I tried to repeat and replace the memory module, no results

3 tried all possible means at the level of the customer to replace the SB.

Solution:

Update of the BIOS, and there he was breathing.

1. download the latest version of the BIOS using a working machine

2. connect a flash drive and run the BIOS. Then select; create a USB key to update or restore the system BIOS on another personal computer from HP

3. Subsequently, connect the USB to the laptop to be resuscitated. Turn on the laptop and let it run. And that's all

Of course your forces be asked to update the information of the system. That's when arrives a HP authorized Service partner.

Otherwise, it is recommended that you update the BIOS whenever HP publishes updates

  • ProBook 450 - second series of recovery media, blue screens windows 7 (win 8 okay, not the hardware problem)

    I had a new HP probook 450 G1.

Immediately, I swapped the 750 GB for one SSD drive and tried to install Windows 7 from the recovery media. The operation has failed. Contact HP support, they sent new media.

I used new media. Windows 7 operating system installed. As soon as I install the drivers, the PC goes in a loop of the blue screen.

I can install the chipset drivers and wifi. Don't know what the other driver is causing the blue screen. I can also install from the windows media 8, so this isn't a hardware problem - wife hates just windows 8.

Basically, please either give me a few troubleshooting steps or I'll go back to the PC. I'm NOT insterested in a manual process long to determine which driver is the problem and the recovery download media manually the drivers one... should work.

After you have reinstalled the original 750 GB hard drive with the replacement media, I managed to an attempt to "recover". So, I decided to sit and try, by the process of elimination, all drivers.

It turns out that the technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver was causing the problem. When I installed everything BUT that, the laptop works very well. Notice that I use a fairly new SSD Crucial of M500. It is quite possible there are other people out there see it. You really need to install the driver of rapid storage technology, it is fast enough - not not even 100% sure what good to give the driver.

So I gave myself wrong guidance by the initial recovery of defective media. The second group of work recovery media, but the version of the driver intel 12.7.3.1001 does NOT work with the Crucial M500. I checked the Intel site for driver downloads, and it was not clear that they have a newer driver appropriate right now. Maybe someone else can tell?

  • ProBook 450: 450 Probook does not start

My question seems to be a deafening silence. It's a topic that's been discussed so many times that he should not be inscribed? I searched this list to find answers, tried everything about the similar problem. Here, I have found no offers of the exact circumstances.

My Probook 450 will not start. Turn on the power the screen immediately brings to life showing nothing I recognize. The power, the wireless and the loudspeaker LEDs are lit, but not flashing do not. Hard drive never engages. It's the screen that displays immediately:

I tried the 'Hard' reset, removed the device and battery, you press Power for thirty seconds, I tried Ctrl-Alt-Del and F8 while it should begin.

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Your screen is destroyed I'm not sure what you are trying to see?

  • Is there a solution for Firefox running with a blank screen (no text or graphics) in Ubuntu 12.04?

After receiving the upgrade to Firefox 40.0.2 a white screen appears. It is not possible to change the settings of Firefox since the opening page because no text or graphics are displayed. This has happened on two computers, an emachines T3624 and a Gateway 2000. I tried a complete elimination and new installation using the Synaptic Package Manager. I am writing from the Chrome browser.

I tried to create a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder and adding the line:
    user_pref ("gfx.xrender.enabled", false);
Who has not resolved the blank white screen issue.
Then I tried to disable the file prefs.js and user.js file by renameing them.
It worked. When I restarted Firefox, a new prefs.js was generated. The prefs.js file that causes a blank screen has the user_pref ("gfx.xrender.enabled", false); line in it. The new prefs.js didn't user_pref ("gfx.xrender.enabled", false); in it.

So, I found the prefs.js file in other machine with the same problem and commented of the user_pref ("gfx.xrender.enabled", false); line. (I guess that remove this line would also work.) Firefox now works on the second machine and is no longer launches a blank white screen.

  • After the last update on Wnidows 7 Firefox opens just a blank screen (black).

After the last update Firefox on a machine Wnidows 7, Firefox opens just a blank screen (black). It worked fine until the latest update. It does not open in "safe" mode I tried several facilities clean and using various other compatibility settings. I also tried various changes of display. Closing X is still under the black forest as I can by conjecture activate this.

Get a black screen after updating to Firefox 33 can be caused by a problem with hardware acceleration in Firefox.

You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver.

Try to start Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down the shift/Options key.

    Disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

You will need to close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.

  • ProBook 450 G0: 10 Windows will not sleep or Hibernate or start properly

    Hello!

    Hello!

Recently I did a clean install of windows 10 and I have a problem I forgot my past experience with this version of windows: my system is unable to go to sleep (or he can't wake mode 'sleep') or Hibernate.

Example of situation: I put the system to sleep, it shuts down (the power button blinks always - it's what he does when the laptop is in sleep mode) and when I press the power button (or click on my mouse) system does not. Either he starts as a fresh start (as no "sleep mode" has never been there) or the screen goes black, stay like that for a while and then stops (and, of course, when I open it again it is like a new beginning).
I never met such a problem on all other versions of windows. I did almost (if not all) of the suggestions and tutorials on the internet about it. The BIOS is up to date, so is my driver chipset with the rest of my drivers. Is it possible to fix this? It's the only thing that will make me return to windows 7.

    HP ProBook 450 G0 with:

    Intel Core i7-3632QM

    Graphics Intel HD 4000 / AMD Radeon HD 8600 / 8700M

    8 GB RAM

    SSD 240 GB KINGSTON SV300

PS: I found this link where I discovered that the decommissioning of the bios to an older version would work, but I can't find versions older for my laptop.

I have not upgraded to Windows 7 to 10. I did a clean install and I manually installed the drivers for the AMD and Intel video hardware.

I found how to solve this problem by making this upgrade of repair: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/wiki/insider_wintp-insider_install/how-to-perform-a-repair-upgrade-using-the-windows/35160fbe-9352-4e70-9887-f40096ec3085
Someone who has the same problem, I had perhaps try this method, as any other internet method did not work for me.

    Thanks anyway for your answer!

  • HP probook 450 g2 i3: battery life

What is the average for my laptop (hp probook 450 g2 i3) if I only watch or browse the internet videos and always connected with wifi stream.

If you watch movies from a DVD that will seriously shorten the battery life because the drive obviously has an engine that needs electricity. Video streaming with wifi also requires a lot of juice. I'd say 2 hours would be on the short end of average and 3 hours would be very good in these conditions, but it wouldn't surprise me to hear you say that you get and 90 minutes. The only thing that you can do to stretch it better down the lowest display brightness you can stand.

    Hi, Guido:

The only suggestion I can offer on the card reader would be to try the driver W10 support page for your laptop if you have not already done so.
