HP probook 450 g2 i7: drivers windows 8.1 with windows 8.1 Pro compatibility

I intend to install windows 8.1 Pro on "HP probook 450 G2 I7" but when I went to download the drivers, I have not found windows 8.1 Pro listed in the operating system... I found windows 8.1 so I wonder if 8.1 windows drivers can be installed on a windows 8.1 Pro?
Thanks in advance!

Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post on Win8.1 drivers and wanted to help.

For Win8x, the Home and Pro versions only see different features that come with each of two Windows versions.

The drivers for all versions of Win8.1 are the same.

Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.

  • HP Probook 450 G1; E9Y30EA #ABB: [Windows 10]: driver compatibility problems, sound buttons do not work

    Hi all

I recently did a clean install of Windows 10 x 64 on my HP Probook 450 G1 (E9Y30EA), and after installing the drivers I noticed when I cut the sound, my Mute button will not change its amber color (or orange, yellow, regardless), as it did in Windows 7 and 8.1.

In addition, another thing that does not work is shortened mute Microphone keyboard (fn + F8). It turns off the microphone, nor its LED lights.

I have the latest version of the Support of hotkey driver installed (7.0.13.1) HP, HP Quick Launch Buttons, HP wireless button, installed, .NET Frameworks 2.0 and 3.0, etc... everything is up-to-date, but it still not working as it should. Micro just cut does not work and pressing (sound) Mute button mute, but its light remains white, so I often do not know if I got the sound we or off with the look of a look I did.

On the other hand, HP wireless button works normally, and it changes color to Amber when I press on it to activate airplane Mode.

TL; DR: After the installation of the Win10 Hotkey Mute Microphone work and his Mute button works, but the LED does not work.

Is what I can do to fix that, or is this just a problem with the driver incompatibility which would be fixed in some future updates? Or it is something else, like Windows 10 question or maybe audio driver?

    Thanks in advance,

    pajser92

W 8.1 IDT AUDIO driver was a solution for me. All the buttons work now.  HP should release W10 audio driver for this problem, as the wrong audio driver provided by W10 is a reason for this problem I think.

  • HP PROBOOK 450 GB: Can I update my motherboard with a graphics card

    Hello

I have a hp probook 450 GB (i3, 8 GB ram, 1 TB), and I wonder if I cand update my motherboard with a graphics card. Is this possible? My motherboard is 1949 Hewlett - Packard (U3E1).

    Thank you!

The 450 G0 has either Intel HD 4000 or it can have switchable discrete Radeon 8750 M, but if you have the old, you will need to replace the whole motherboard to get one with Radeon graphics cards. Which may be prohibitive, but is theoretically possible. Can you replace your self? Parts will run a few hundred to a few hundred working (in dollars). You need the motherboard and a new radiator/cooling fan. Processor, wireless card memory could be reversed. Also your windows must be reactivated and eventually you will have to buy a new Windows license (which does not 100% the case) but Microsoft generally believes that it is a different computer if you swap out the motherboard.

If still interested we can guide you through the details.

  • Visual studios with windows 8 student pro compatibility

I am currently a computer science student and I recently received the update of visual studios 2013 3 from dreamspark, but when I got to launch an emulator to test an application I get an error that says that I need to improve my windows to windows 8 pro.

So my question is, are windows 8 pro student the same or the emulator only will launch on the regular windows 8 pro version?

I ask because I want to know which one to buy, because windows 8 pro for student is cheaper

    Hi Robert,.

Windows 8 pro student is valid only for the period of 12 months . That's why I suggest you buy the full version of Windows 8.0 pro. Also, I suggest you to see the following link for the system requirements for Visual studio 2013.

    Hello:

I don't think that it is a problem with your laptop Bluetooth device or driver. Did you do the bluetooth in your phone or your headset to be discoverable mode?

Understand and troubleshoot the Bluetooth wireless technology

If any case it is a driver issue, you could get your latest driver from here. Install the driver for the bluetooth device present in your lapotop, reboot the system (you know that section of network controller/Bluetooth adapter in device - control panel Manager).

  • ProBook 450 upgrade of windows 7 to windows 8

    I just bought a Probook G1 450 with Windows 7 Pro installed.

What is the best way to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro the supplied DVD?  I work from home if higher security options is not necessary.  The HP support site gives two options - inplace upgrade and clean installation as below.

    http://h20566.www2.HP.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.page/public/PSI/upgradeMigrateDisplay/?sp4ts.Oid...

    Sales page of HP for HP p/n F2P35UT - HP ProBook 450 G1 States;

"Windows 7 Professional 64 (available through Windows 8 Pro downgrade rights)
Note: This system is preinstalled with Windows 7 Professional software and also comes with a license and support for Windows 8 Pro software. You can only use a version of the Windows software at a time. Switching between versions you need to uninstall a version and install the other version. This disk is not a standard Windows installation disc and "clean" and "inplace upgrade" options do not apply. Regarding the Windows product key, it must be integrated in the HP Wndows Pro 8 installation media and Windows must be previously activated.
