HP ProBook 450 SSD cold start problem

Hello. I recently bought new HP ProBook 450 H6P53EA with SSD (SanDisk SDSSSDHP128G) included.

After the first commissioning of this message came:

"Boot Device not found.

"Please install an operating system on your hard drive."

"Hard Disk (3F0).

I just thought about it it might be true that the laptop came without OS (probably SUSE there, but I did not even notice) so I went just to install Windows 8.

Everything works fine and I am very satisfied BUT

my laptop is turned a few hours every time this message and the operating system cannot be started.

After pressing enter short menu appears (with memory/disk check options I think) and I'm heading directly at the exit and when it starts up again everything seems to be ok.

After reboot or a short period of time when the laptop is liquidated everything is always very well. So, it seems that the problem only occurs when the laptop is down for several hours. All possible solutions?

Thank you.

Hi all that I just had a Probook G1 450, Walker has problems after replacing the HDD with a SSD.

Windows installed just fine, but as soon as I installed some drivers, mostly related to the media storage to intel and ETC I get a BSOD with the stop 0x0000001E, and I can't solve it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Mrstenter,

In fact, the problem is caused by the HP 3D DriveGuard driver, if you skip the installation when you have an SSD installed, giving no problem. FYI the SSD, I used was a MX1000 Crucial 256 GB. And after I jumped this instalation driver laptop currently works perfectly.

  • Y500 SSD Leno starting problems

OK, so after trying a lot of different things, I can't seem to get this to work. What I'm trying to do, is to get my OS (windows 8) at the start of my ssd mSata (256 GB) and use the stock storage HARD drive. I want to use the SSD because I like the faster startup time and load times that accompany it.

    What I tried:

    (1) used a Windows 8 ISO on a usb key to install windows on the SSD drive, everything went well and the download is complete, but every time that I boot on the laptop, it gives me the ability to start from the volume 2 (OS on the SSD) or Volume7 (OS on the HARD disk) which really annoyed me (Im picky like that) so I formatted the HARD drive. This is where things are hairy. When my computer restarts have me an error trying to start up, essentially telling me that there is something on this HARD drive he had to be there, long story short, it made me factory reset my computer (the ssd remained the same since it was not outside the problem).

    (2) after #1 I thought, Fine BONES may remain on the HARD disk, it is large enough to hold my stuff and this OS. But I still wanted the option to not see that Volume 7 Option, so after a bit of searching on Google I found that you can actually remove the boot option so that this doent show there are 2 choices on initialize toward the top. Tried it, didn't work, got the same error as try #1.

    (3) I found a guide on these forums (http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/IdeaPad-Y-U-V-Z-and-P-series/Lenovo-y500-COMPLETE-mSata-SSD-Installation...) on how to do what I'm trying to do. I made sure that I installed it properly, made sure that I see in my bios, and he was using the UEFI, secure boot off, start prioty defined on the ssd. I have clone 4 partitions for the SSD with Macrium Reflect. Name SSD changes it's self for Windows 8 d: drive. He gets so my hopes upward this will work. IGO to start since the SSD and nothing happens, still boots the os from the HARD disk. So I say to myself, I'll just remove the drive HARD doing so he MUST start from the SDS. I remove the HARD drive and turn on the computer, gives me an error screen blue fat fat, says that my computer is missing an important element and that I should get my computer repaired.

I don't know what to do. If I have to I will return to attempt #1 and just deal with the options Volume 2 and volume 7, but I'd really like to have rather 2nd OS gone so I can get my maximum storage out of it. Any help would be welcome. -Thank you

Unfortunately, this has not worked for me. I did all your steps but when it asked me to restart my computer to complete the migration that has nothing happened. I tried twice with no success. However on the third attempt, I did something stupid on the accident. I ment to try to copy the OS on the SSD, but what I actually did was copy the empty SSD at the disk, formatting so the HARD drive completely. Initially I capotais, but then I realized that everything what was that hinder me before (these hidden partitions of lenovo) are now gone. So I just installed windows on the computer, manually installed drivers, and everything's fine and dandy.

However, the only problem with that is I don't believe one key Recovery works more unless I can understand how to install it on the laptop.

Thanks for your help, it worked very well in a unexpected way haha.

  • ProBook 450: 450 Probook does not start

My question seems to be a deafening silence. It's a topic that's been discussed so many times that he should not be inscribed? I searched this list to find answers, tried everything about the similar problem. Here, I have found no offers of the exact circumstances.

My Probook 450 will not start. Turn on the power the screen immediately brings to life showing nothing I recognize. The power, the wireless and the loudspeaker LEDs are lit, but not flashing do not. Hard drive never engages. It's the screen that displays immediately:

I tried the 'Hard' reset, removed the device and battery, you press Power for thirty seconds, I tried Ctrl-Alt-Del and F8 while it should begin.

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Your screen is destroyed I'm not sure what you are trying to see?

  • ProBook 450 G0: 10 Windows will not sleep or Hibernate or start properly

    Hello!

    Hello!

Recently I did a clean install of windows 10 and I have a problem I forgot my past experience with this version of windows: my system is unable to go to sleep (or he can't wake mode 'sleep') or Hibernate.

Example of situation: I put the system to sleep, it shuts down (the power button blinks always - it's what he does when the laptop is in sleep mode) and when I press the power button (or click on my mouse) system does not. Either he starts as a fresh start (as no "sleep mode" has never been there) or the screen goes black, stay like that for a while and then stops (and, of course, when I open it again it is like a new beginning).
I never met such a problem on all other versions of windows. I did almost (if not all) of the suggestions and tutorials on the internet about it. The BIOS is up to date, so is my driver chipset with the rest of my drivers. Is it possible to fix this? It's the only thing that will make me return to windows 7.

    HP ProBook 450 G0 with:

    Intel Core i7-3632QM

    Graphics Intel HD 4000 / AMD Radeon HD 8600 / 8700M

    8 GB RAM

    SSD 240 GB KINGSTON SV300

PS: I found this link where I discovered that the decommissioning of the bios to an older version would work, but I can't find versions older for my laptop.

I have not upgraded to Windows 7 to 10. I did a clean install and I manually installed the drivers for the AMD and Intel video hardware.

I found how to solve this problem by making this upgrade of repair: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/wiki/insider_wintp-insider_install/how-to-perform-a-repair-upgrade-using-the-windows/35160fbe-9352-4e70-9887-f40096ec3085
Someone who has the same problem, I had perhaps try this method, as any other internet method did not work for me.

    Thanks anyway for your answer!

  • ProBook 450 - second series of recovery media, blue screens windows 7 (win 8 okay, not the hardware problem)

    I had a new HP probook 450 G1.

Immediately, I swapped the 750 GB for one SSD drive and tried to install Windows 7 from the recovery media. The operation has failed. Contact HP support, they sent new media.

I used new media. Windows 7 operating system installed. As soon as I install the drivers, the PC goes in a loop of the blue screen.

I can install the chipset drivers and wifi. Don't know what the other driver is causing the blue screen. I can also install from the windows media 8, so this isn't a hardware problem - wife hates just windows 8.

Basically, please either give me a few troubleshooting steps or I'll go back to the PC. I'm NOT insterested in a manual process long to determine which driver is the problem and the recovery download media manually the drivers one... should work.

After you have reinstalled the original 750 GB hard drive with the replacement media, I managed to an attempt to "recover". So, I decided to sit and try, by the process of elimination, all drivers.

It turns out that the technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver was causing the problem. When I installed everything BUT that, the laptop works very well. Notice that I use a fairly new SSD Crucial of M500. It is quite possible there are other people out there see it. You really need to install the driver of rapid storage technology, it is fast enough - not not even 100% sure what good to give the driver.

So I gave myself wrong guidance by the initial recovery of defective media. The second group of work recovery media, but the version of the driver intel 12.7.3.1001 does NOT work with the Crucial M500. I checked the Intel site for driver downloads, and it was not clear that they have a newer driver appropriate right now. Maybe someone else can tell?

  • G3 ProBook 450 (p5s63ea): Probook is g3 450 compatible bx100 Crucial SSD 120 GB

    I bought g3 ProBook 450 (p5s63ea) and changed 500 GB HDD to 120 GB SSD Crucial bx100.

    And I have following problems:

    (1) bios does not see SDS each time. I tried to reboot several times SDS, place the drive back hard, and sometimes he'll see. If she begins to see I can install Windows 10 on it and if I reboot or shutdown 10 correctly portable windows will see SDS all the time and there will be no problem.

    (2) problem arises when I do sleep for laptop and wake him up. When he wakes he appears with the picture, but hangs and does not allow to enter the password. If I remove the obligation to enter the password after waking up upwards Win 10 wake up in windows, he hangs up after 2 seconds. I tried many solutions, I found here about problem of awakening, but nothing helped.  If he hung up only remains to press on the button / stop for 3 seconds and stop feeding, but after that arrises problem 1 - notebook see SSD with operating system.

If I install the same copy of windows on the original HARD disk 10, he wakes up after sleep perfectly. Crucial Bx100 has lates firmware mu02.

Therefore crucial bx100 120 GB SSD incompatible with g3 450 probook?

Solved this problem by buying a new SSD on slot m2. It seems to work and wake up stable.

Know this subject publish when you plan to upgrade HDD 2.5 "SDS. At least not all SDS is compatible with mobile HP.

Hello community HP. I recently bought a HP Probook 450 G0 (i5 - 3230M + HD8750), after which I came across a problem and could not find any solution is linked. Here are the steps to reproduce the problem:
