  Thank you for your message.  Microsoft was right to put you in touch with the manufacturer of your.  The keyboard will fall under the material, so only they can fix or diagnose what the problem.  It could be something as simple as a bad supply or burnt cable bulb.  Anyway, that falls under HP support.

  Hello

  I'm on HP Pavilion dv6 - 1210sa laptop with Windows vista Home Premium (service Pack2). It's the operating system, which is that the laptop came with when I bought in 2010 and later service pack 2 was installed using windows update. I can confirm that my laptop is up-to-date with updates of windows and hp installed periodically. My problem is the following:

  Everytime I turn on my laptop, I can hear the noise from the cooling fan and the led power and feather touch volume buttons and a wi - fi light up. However, the screen remains blank and the CAPS lock and NUM lock Dungeon LED flashing with three second gap between two flashes. They Flash together and blink only once in a single cycle. It keeps flashing even after leaving it for 10 minutes. I have to perform the hard reset several times before I can get it started. This problem started a few months ago with the frequency of the problem more and more. It has now reached a point where I encounter this problem on every start and even after the awakening of the laptop computer from standby or hibernation.

  I know that the flashing of the LEDs is typical diagnoses, but I was unable to understand the real problem. I know the screen works because I tested using an external monitor to work. It should not be the battery (even if it's crap to maintain charge) I tried to restart the laptop with just AC adapter connected (and battery removed) after having done a hard reset and still, the situation did not improve.

  Could someone please tell me what is the problem and what are my options? Think you that formatting my c: / and re - install the OS will solve the problem?

  I had the same problem but found the answer here that solved the problem.

  Unplug the charger and remove the battery.

  While the battery is out, push the power button.

  Replace the battery, plug the charger and restart. You will find while the bulbs are working again.

  Could be the caps lock and the left SHIFT keys are blocked. Open your 'OSK', start-> all programs-> Accessories-> accessibility-> keyboard on the screen. The shift caps lock and shift keys have red contours (highlighted). Click on them and see what happens. You may need to remove the dirt under the keys with compressed air, you may also need to remove the caps, if that does not work. See the link below on how to remove and replace the keys:

  There is a good chance that you can turn off the beeps by pressing the NumLock key for a little more than 5 seconds. Here's where the ToggleKeys setting are stored.

  Go to the Ease of Access Center Control Panel and click make the keyboard easier to use.

  

  Search for Activate the ToggleKeys in the section make it easier to type and uncheck Activate the ToggleKeys. You can uncheck turn on ToggleKeys by pressing the Numlock for 5 seconds more.

  Be sure to click on OK endangered.

  I'm not sure what you mean by "Rocking sound Notification", but it seems that you are referring to the "ToggleKeys" setting. If so, you can check the accessibility of your computer settings and activate the ToggleKeys. To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Start button
  2. In the search box, search Control Panel
  3. Select ease of access
  4. Click change how your keyboard works
  5. Check the box (turn the ToggleKeys)

  IM 11 workstation running on Windows 8.1 x 64.

  Im having a problem now that whenever I press NumLock or caps lock in the virtual machine then I am no longer able to control the virtual machine.

  Previously, I had problems with 8.1 for Windows Update (KB2995388) I could not also control the virtual machine then.

  Any ideas?

  I have fixed the problem now.

  It was a program called slimdrivers who seemed to cause problems.

  After removing slimdrivers, everything worked fine

  So, Ive had this computer for awhile, (not too long) and I noticed that many people have complained that the screen turning black and does not yet.
  Now, in my case, my screws come not cancelled, so I'm not able to check the memory problem (as indicated by the sequencing of the lighting).

  I see that your computer does not turn and you get a model three blink code. You're right, that does not indicate a problem of memory. If he could get into the operating system, then it would be memory test that you can run, but only if you can get into the operating system. You will need to open and remove the memory.
