  Hello

  Currently, I have a laptop HP ProBook 4540 s notebook PC (Energy Star) and found that my Base system device driversare missing. I have tried very hard to find, but in vain. Honestly, I don't even know not what they are or what they do, but I'm sure that I need them. Please help me if possible.

  The problem starts after I formatted my Os and switched to windows 8.1.My windows apps store continues to crash and when I troubleshoot it shows device Base system driver missing.   In order to provide the correct graphic driver, I need to know if your laptop's graphics card Intel or AMD/Intel switchable graphics.

  If there is just a standard vga card listed, then you probably need just the driver intel graphics.

  I recently formatted my notebook compaq presario v3749au without the recovery disks, because my cd drive does not work. When I saw in the Device Manager, it says that 'sm bus controller, coprocessor and base system device' drivers are missing. I don't know where to put them because these drivers are not available on the hp site. so kindly respond if anyone knows how to find the solution.

  I did some more research on the IDS of devices. the first two are card reading devices, you must download the drivers for the card reader for windows 7 and try editing them. Finally we're finfer sensor print driver.
