HP Probook s 4740 and reader of fingerprints and Ralink RT3290

Hi, I bought the 4740 s ProBook HP - a great computer, but in the specifications, I bought a network card installed 802.11b/g/n Wi - Fi Ralink RT3290 hopeless. I would like to replace it with the Intel WiFi card with support for the band band and 5 GHz bandwidth 300 MB / s I wasn't expecting that in a such high computer model can be so small WiFi card. Which Intel model I am looking for? I copied a large number of media files via WiFi and the above characteristics are essential for me. Goes the same for the fingerprint reader in old my ProBook 6550 b, accustomed to the use of this device, but the new computer did not - I would be purchased and installed on the computer (in the case is taken to the reader). Is someone can you please tell me the part number of the reader matches the 4740 s?

Kind regards
Robert

Hello

#3 on the following manual page displays a list of supported cards:

http://bizsupport2.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c03531708/c03531708.PDF

For the fingerprint, is there a small "windows" for the reader? Otherwise no point to install anything. A plugged in the card reader will have everything you need.

Kind regards.

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion GP A10 AMD laptop 2313-AX. The latest drivers from the HP website for windows 8 pro and windows 8.1 pro 64-bit drivers ralink rt3290 and lan realtek PCIe FE Family Controller appear limited in my laptop, but in the same laptop connectivity when I start in Windows Server 2008 R2, both LAN and wifi works very well.

Are there drivers available updated 2013 for these two hardware devices as dated?

Are there universal or generic drivers that can act as a workaround?

If so, please give me the URL for the same thing.

    Sriram.

    Hi Steve,.

I came across similar issues where the driver manually enabled users to solve the problem. Uninstall the current network adapter drivers and manually install drivers that you previously downloaded.

    a. press Windows key + R key, type devmgmt.msc, hit the Enter key to open the Device Manager.

    b. expand network adapters, right-click on the listed network adapter and select Update driver software.

    c. click Browse my computer for driver software, click Let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computerand then click on disk.

    d. in the dialog box to install from the disc, click Browse, locate the drivers, and then click Open.

    e. follow the steps described in the DeviceName update driver software dialog box to update the driver.

Try these steps and let us know the results.

  • HP Probook 470: How to remove the fingerprint reader

How can I completely remove the software from the fingerprint of my Probook 470 scanner? It always requires 10 to 20 shots before he let me. It is a good idea in theory but boring in practice.

I could exit the fingerprint enabled option and just ignore it - but unfortunately it is bloatware. Whenever I go to the connection, it keeps the box frozen for several seconds, and then it will allow me to start typing my password.

I would go back to this nice simple Windows 7 connection that the HP software has hijacked unfortunaetly.

Sucess. I have it solved, but it is quite difficult.

First of all, I have tried to uninstall HP customer Security Manager but got the following error:

error 1325.hewlett - packard is not a valid short file name.

To work around this, I went into control panel / Device Manager and disabled the driver CD-ROM/DVD-ROM (no! I don't know why).

Then, I tried once more to uninstall HP Client Manager Security. This time he says that I need to first uninstall the following:

    -HP Device Access Manager
    -HP File Sanitizer
    -Recovery of stolen computers HP
    -HP Drive Encryption

Then I uninstalled the four of them in turn, rebooted and then uninstalled the HP customer Security Manager - which this time did actually uninstall.

The result has been successful. When I start my PC now, I can type my password instead of having to wait a few seconds while the HP bloatware gets himself sorted immediately.

Oh, and I also re-enabled my CD-ROM/DVD-Rom driver.

    Weird.

  • T410 - reader of fingerprints and TouchPad failure after closing lid

    Hello world
    I have a ThinkPad T410 Intel Core i7 M620 2.67 GHz, 250 GB HDD, 4 GB of RAM, NVIDIA 3100, Windows 7

There are two problems with it:
Number 1: After waking up from sleep mode the fingerprint reader does not work. Type of manual password is required.
, 2nd edition: At a random time the TouchPad would stop working.

Question No. 1 is extremely annoying. That happen every time, but often enough to be very bored.
There are different scenarios that I can describe:
Scenario 1:     Closing the lid makes the laptop to go to sleep. Opening the lid makes the laptop turn on the screen, but there is a login prompt. At this point the reader to Finerprint is not active more and manual entry of the password is required.

Scenario 2:     Closing the lid makes the laptop to go to sleep. Opening the cover does nothing. The Green LED on the fingerprint reader is on. Slide the fingerprint reader turns on the laptop. Login screen is displayed and manual password entry is required. Fingerprint reader is not available at this stage.
Scenario 3: by pressing function + sleep makes the laptop to go to sleep. The Green LED on the fingerprint reader is on. Slide the fingerprint reader turns on the laptop. Login screen is displayed and manual password entry is required. Fingerprint reader is not available at this stage.

After each scenario I would like to connect manually, and the Fingerprint reader does not work with Password Vault, giving a message that it is not present in the system. After waiting for a while (maybe 15 minutes), the fingerprint reader starts working again.

At the same time, I had a problem with the TouchPad will not work at a random time.
He would just stop working from time to time and not work until a reboot of the system.

I used my super cool NextDay on site warranty (I'm so glad I paid the amount extra - the service is great) to have a guy to come and difficulty a faulty speaker. At the same time, he had inspected the problem of fingerprints. He said that the fingerprint reader and Touchpad are connected to the motherboard by a cable and that it is perhaps the origin of the problem. It came the next day to replace the Touchpad and fingerprints of the reader of the cover of laptop part (all the plastic around the keyboard that you put your wrists on). However, it did not replace the cable that connects the two devices to the motherboard (he said that those who are almost never defective)

After that I have not once experienced the freezing problem Touchpad. (so far... for 4 days now)
Fingerprint reader problem has not changed at all. It happens with the same frequency as before the repair.

I got my system to factory state using the recovery media made the 1st day following purchase. It doesn't change anything.

If anyone else has experienced this problem and has a solution, please let me know.
Referring to another forum or topic is also welcome. If I find a solution I'll post it as well.

    Thank you

AFTER several months of pain, I found a solution to this problem:

I got rid of this problem by reformatting everything using the original recovery disks.

I tried this action before, but this time it worked.

A friend told me that his laptop computer from a different company had a similar problem and found after hours of searching the sequence in which the drivers have been installed on its system had an effect ON the system.

I'm not saying that this is the case here, but maybe something ' just clicked on '...

No problem with my FingerprintReader more. I did this action 2-3 weeks ago and I got not a single occurrence of the FingerprintReader error.

    Good luck to all.

  • Reader of fingerprints and the mouse touch pad drivers

I have a Dell Vestro 3750. When I've been updated to Windows 8 I asked me to uninstall to move forward. Now, I want to install their return. Do know how to do it.

    Hi Mary,

Thank you for choosing to ask your question in the Microsoft forums.

You want to install the fingerprint reader and mouse drivers touchpad on the computer of Windows 8.

If you use 64-bit of Windows 8, then check out the link, choose Windows 8 64-bit in the drop-down menu and download the drivers and install them.

    http://www.Dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/product/Vostro-3750

If Windows 8 on your computer is not 64-bit then download drivers Windows 7 32 bit. You can install the 32-bit drivers on Windows 8 by using compatibility mode. Follow the steps.

    (a) access to the start screen

    (b) press Windows key + C on your keyboard to show the charms (if you have a touch screen: touch the right edge of your screen and slide your finger to the center of the screen to display the bar of charms)

    (c) search for Troubleshooting, click settings in the right-hand column.

    (d) click on troubleshooting. Click run programs made for previous versions of Windows

    (e) click on Next, select not listed. Click Next

    (f) click Browse and select the installation program that you downloaded via the link above.

    (g) click on Next, click program troubleshooting

    (h) check the program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won't install or run now

    (i) click next , select the latest OS known functional for this driver (probably Windows 7)

    (j) click Next

To resolve the problem with the fingerprint reader, I suggest that you contact Dell support. Check out the link.

  • Windows 7 and reader of fingerprints and HP97XX

    Hello

Today I upgraded my HP DV9724TX of holiday Vista 32 bit to windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, everything went very well as a new installation and recommend the passage to anyone with an SSD

One problem in the whole movement that the fingerprint reader does not, W7 sees the device as an authentic Tec AE2501A trying to install Vista 64 bit software Digitalpersona translates into an error advisinig Agent.exe is not marked for loading!

Bottom line, I have no fingerprint reader, which in itself does not affect the other performance that I got to slip your finger to connect to various sites etc.

Can an HP irritable if they attend here help, make that a Google search shows many people with the same problems, digitalpersona site indicates it does not support 64-bit application, but HP has a 64-bit driver on their site.

Big cry for help make my experience of perfect W7

    David

    Maybe a solution for you!

I had to reinstall again due to nothing more than my own stupidity, anyway, this time I loaded the authentic tec of the HP vista 64 drivers downloads, then I loaded the digitalpersona driver that I had updated to version 4.0, but I think the one on the site of HP 3.01 worked also.

So now, I could connect to windows using the player but it did not work in 32 or 64 bit IE8, after only one day digitalpersona pushed a X 64 bit update to version 4.11 now everything works.

As for your other problem W7 did not recognize my Ricoh 5-1 card reader and in the Device Manager, I had a base system device with a yellow!, it took me awhile to find the number of device on the pci bus but finally got it and installed the Ricoh drivers manually now everything works as expected hope this helps.

  • Share the reader of fingerprints between the physical Machine and VM

I have a lenovo W541 with build - in fingerprints, how to share.

PM with W8.1 already use it, how to use it also to open a session in OS in WM?

    Best regards

    Paolo

    Hi Paolo,.

Also, I have a Thinkpad W541 and scratched my head on how to use the fingerprint reader, integrated runtime for example 10 Windows on a virtual machine-machine since my cell phone - and then came across this thread.

After comparing the 'Device Manager' on my VM-machine as well as on the physical laptop I have seen that on the VM machine there was no "biometric devices" not appearing on the VM machine. Of course, I also checked the hardware VM definition dialog if there was a possibility of adding such a device, but it was not.

So I thought that I was stuck. But I found a solution that is at least sufficient for my needs. I noticed that one of the icons on the side in the bottom right of my machine-VM running (running Windows 10) - there is an icon that has been disabled but when hovering with the mouse it will read "validity sensors sensors Synaptics PS (WBF) (PID = 0017).

After a right-click and selecting "Connect (disconnect host)" there's a new device that appeared in the Windows Device Manager 'Unknown device' and opening than treeviewitem I clicked and chose "Install driver" and voila! Now my built-in fingerprint reader can be used when running Windows 10 under my VM workstation!

It is not ideal because it allows to disable the fingerprint reader on the BONES of the physical machine too long that the Windows 10 VM machine is running, but I can live with that. And the good side is that Windows (?) is smart enough to automatically re-enable the drive of fingerprints on my physical machine as soon as the machine-VM is closed / stop.

    I hope this helps!

  • I bought a new hp probook 4540 s, and the fingerprint does not work I installed the new driver but anyway, so help please?

I've updated all but still, it won't work

    Hi Daniel,.

I suggest you to install the validity fingerprint sensor driver to get the finger print sensor option in Control Panel. Here is the link for our reference.

Then, you need to install the Manager software security tools to protect for the finger print job. Go through the link:

Then you must install the player 3D HP 5 guard to protect the drive against damage in case the laptop is hit hard or fall from a low height, by parking the heads.
