  • HP PSC 1315xi - clean print cartridge does not work, does nothing

    I have a HP PSC 1315xi All in One.  I have just stalled new ink cartridges.  I was able to line up, but I noticed on the impression that black was not feeling right.  I printed a test page by holding the Cancel button and pushing the color copy button to start.  Print out showed that there certainly is a problem with the black cartridge.  So I went in the Toolbox and I clicked to clean cartridges.  I clicked on Clean and nothing happened.  The printer did nothing and he didn't pop up or anything to show, there was a problem.  I waited 5 minutes and still nothing.  I'm on Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit.  Thank you.

    The application of the Toolbox cannot communicate with the printer. Try the following:

    (1) unplug the PC printer by unplugging the USB cable into the PC end.

    (2) turn off the printer and the PC.

    (3) wait 30 seconds and turn on the printer, then on PC.

    (4) when the PC is starting for office, connect the USB cable.

    Now, open the Toolbox printer and check if the option clean cartridge works.

    If this does not work:

    (1) you are able to check the Toolbox ink levels?

    (2) you see the digital imaging monitor icon in the box at the bottom right of the taskbar on your computer screen?

    I recently bought a used hp psc 1315xi all in one printer.  The printer is in very good condition and came with a HP 27 black inkjet print cartridge and a tricolor HP 28 inkjet cartridge.  Both cartridges are half full (my computer can read the levels until I try to print).  However, when I try to print something from my MacBook Pro an error message that says the black print cartridge (and then soon followed by cartridge three colors) is not compatible with the printer.

    I checked the cartridges, and certainly they are supposed to work with this printer.  I tried cleaning and even uninstall the printer from my computer software but nothing has worked.  I don't understand how the printer can read how much ink is left in the cartridges but goes on to say that the cartridge is not compatible.  Please help me.  I don't want to buy new cartridges and it just happen again (and be $50 more poor).

  • PSC 1315xi: Scanner does not work

    I have exhausted all regulatory processes to get the scanner to work.  I deleted the printer program and downloaded and reinstalled the program.  I restarted my computer laptop and everything that was suggested by the print and Scan, doctor, etc...

    Initially, the problem was that the "scan" button has not activated the scanning process.  However, I could go to the program file and scan from there.  Now, nothing that I see to make it work.

    Would love some suggested procedures to follow...

    I can offer the following:

    • Trying to reinstall all the software of full functionality, consider the software in the category of updates > updates are installed AFTER the main printer program.
    • Try using Microsoft Fixit to remove the existing printer software before installing the new copy
    • Ensure that your Flash from Adobe are up-to-date
    • Ensure that the Adobe Reader software was updated to the latest version of Adobe Reader DC, you can run - do even if you do not use the Adobe Reader software > software printer like Adobe Reader...

    Can not find a way to get this to install. After extracting I finally found it in running %Temp%. Searching through all files and folders, trying to find the exe file. to get it to autorun, but was unsuccessful. I tried to install this on 2 different PC with xp pro sp3 but no luck.

    Immediately after that the window of 'extraction' went to 100% and closed, nothing happened.  The windows install/never display software.

    Whenever I tried it creates a log file that started with this:

    "Parsed command line: «.\Setup.exe".

    Using datfile: C:\DOCUME~1\xxxxx\LOCALS~1\Temp\7zS1293\autorun.inf

    # GetValueByLang (f-> c_str(), _T (Version), _T (LanguagesInthisCD) failed "

    System LangID = 1033.  mapped to ENU

    # The system language is ENU, but is not on our CD!

    There was other error messages after that, but they all come from lines 3 and 5.

    Something she prevented the installation program to recognize the language ENU files ARE present in this download.

    Navigate to the bottom of this tree
    -HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    -SOFTWARE
    -Microsoft
    -Windows NT
    -CurrentVersion
    -IniFileMapping
    Below, find out if there is a key named "Autorun.inf".
    On my PC (the one with this problem) the value of this key has been "@SYS: nexistepas".
    If your registry database also has this, it may be the cause of your problem.
    In the left pane of regedit, do a right click on Autorun.inf and select "Rename" from the context menu.
    Change the name to something like "Autorun.inf.hold".
    Close regedit
    At this point, I restarted my PC, but I don't know if it is really necessary.
    I ran the downloaded driver file.  It extracted, and the Installer started out as it was supposed to.

    When it was done, I returned in regedit and renamed "Autorun.inf.hold" to "Autorun.inf".

    It is extremely frustrating for me, and (if you need it), I hope that this solution works for you.

    A week ago I had a few problems when I feel.  It took a long time to get anything to print.  I received an Error Message, then the light "check print cartridge" flashes.  I've done all the troubleshooting I knew how and nothing helped.  The ink cartridges are new.  The help section HP says that my color print cartridges need to be replaced.  But again, it is brand new.  I unplugged the printer from the computer, etc..  It did not work.  I also followed the steps for cleaning the ink cartridges and and the contacts inside the printer.  It also did not work.  I don't know what else to try if anything.  I've never had problems in the past, with the exception of the 'paper print quality map' keeps printing after all the documents I print.  Is there a way to prevent this? I use a computer incredibly when it works, but when something breaks, I'm a real disadvantage.

    I checked a site and they wanted me to pay for assistance.  I want to just my printer fixed.  Can anyone help? I appreciate it.

    It seems that your color cartridge has failed.  I suggest you to check the warranty of the cartridge as shown here.

    The worksheet that prints an alignment page, it will stop printing once the alignment is complete. To complete the process, you will need to load the paper on the scanner, and then press the scan button as shown on page 33 of the manual here.

    Thanks a lot for your response to my call for help.  I continued sleeping with her until I saw a few teeth bit who were blocking the cartridges don't moves back.  Once I pushed them in place, everything began to work well again.  My printer is old, as is my computer, two HP products.  I invest again in HP products, likely this fall.  Thanks again for your reply; Bless you.   Marcia

    On the second, when I run the exe download, I get the message 'Extraction', but when he goes up to 100%, never open the setuup window.  And no error message is displayed.  I searched and found a log file which was produced.  It includes the following:
