HP PSC 2410 Photosmart all-in-one printer SLOW printing
All of a sudden my HP PSC 2410 Photosmart all-in-one printer has started printing very, very, very slowly. If at all. It took almost 30 minutes (1/2 hour) to print only 1 page word document. I am on Windows 7 OS.
Dialogue problems says everything is fine. An attempt to print a test page was even worse. He printed only the top 1/4 of the race and that it was illegible.
I ran CrapCleaner, Norton full scan and I was able to print for about a day before the problem returns.
I also had problems with copy. I noticed that the missing parts were color text or photos. There was no indication that the Tricolor cartridge was low or empty, but I replaced it in any case and VOILA... print is returned to normal and fine everyting.
I would have thought there would be some am indicator when the cartridge is low, but it was not.

I have a hp PSC 2410 photosmart all-in-one printer. I use it on a system windows xp, 32 bit.
I went to make a copy in color on the printer and it gave an error on the black cartridge by saying that she does not recognize. Had not changed or replaced the cartridges they were half full. I tried to go out and reinsert the cartridge, but it did not work.
I replaced it with a new one. Error disappeared, but it now only prints in black and prints any color at all.
Replaced the (full) cartridges with new ones, aligned and clean the printer started it twice, without change.
Close the pritnter and computer, did it again, same results.
Uninstalled and installed printer and software, same result.
What could have happened? Behaves as if it doesn't have a color cartridge.

I bought a new computer that uses 7 (64 bit) of Windows operating system. I have attached a PSC 2410 Photosmart all-in-one printer. The auto-duplex feature is no longer available, manual duplex printing is available. When this printer was attached to the previous auto-duplex printer unit funtioned perfectly. Only change was to the old unattach & reattach again.
This problem can be resolved or do I use the manual funtion?
The duplexer must be activated as described in the "Vista/Wixndows 7 Duplex Printing Troubleshooting Guide".
While I insert the printer USB cable to the laptop, it runs the Windows Live Update automatically and fails in the final task, the installation of the driver. It says "hp psc 2400 series - has failed.
Then I removed the USB cable, removed the device of "devices and printers", reboot the laptop and then tried to load the driver manually. Thank you, Sean. It has not solved the problem. Instead, I got to know that this will work with the 'HP Deskjet 6980 series' pilot and his summer work after I chose that one through the configuration of the local printer.
My HP PSC 2410 Photosmart all-in-one does not work in Windows 7. Said that there is a compatibility issue. Can someone please? Thank you!
I understand and would like to mention that as I said in pilots are a basis of drivers and they have the ability to print and you can scan through Microsoft Paint or scanner and camera, but would not be able to scan using any software complete features and driver software is required for this but unfortunately the full feature software and drivers is not available for the device that you use.

HP psc 2000 series, model 2410 photo smart all-in-one series. Windows 7 operating system. Suddenly takes an hour for photocopying or printing. no error message. Transport print access door may have been opened during a previous print session. Power unit failure and restart and remove and reinsert the cartridges has no effect.
This is caused by the failure of one of your cartridges. I don't remember if the PSC 2410 will support printing (do not copy) with a cartridge removed in reserve mode, but try the following: remove the black print cartridge and print a test page. The printer prints at a normal speed? Is therefore the black cartridge was the issue and needs to be replaced. If it isn't then, put the black back cartridge in and remove the color cartridge and the test page printed. If the printer now prints speed the color cartridge is responsible and must be replaced.

I have a problem with my printer (psc 2410 all in one)
During a simple formulation document printing, the printer ran out of paper and could not continue printing paper had been completed. I checked for paper jams - there is no. The print job has been cancelled and the printer and turned it over.
From the market, it seems now stuck - the power button flashing continuously and the display only I get is the 'busy' hourglass icon... no other error messages or beeps. I can hear the printer through movements start, the flow of paper moving and then he seems hang somewhere and made a repetitive thud. This noise stops after about 1 minute and the display and flashing remain.
I tried the hard reset several times, I even left it the day after. I noticed that the USB cable, jumped, but the printer also shows online on the computer... I tried to a maintenance operation, but he is not letting all through all print jobs. It's happened a few times when starting upwards, but apparently not however resolve no chance this week.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

The function "scan" on my hp psc 2410 printer/scanner/copier/fax MACHINE used to work on my other computer running Windows 98 was, but I wasn't able to scan in Windows Vista. The printer function works fine. Is there a 'driver' that I'm missing? Help, please! I need to scan documents signed for my husband's business.

It is an all-in-one psc photosmart 2510. My OS is Mac 10.7.5.
The printer accepts apparently jobs but then goes into "idle" mode
Next to the list of jobs he will say for example:

The green light next to the power button flashes.

I see that your HP PSC 2510 Photosmart all-in - One Printer has problems when printing from your computer Mac OS X 10.7. I would like to help you to solve this problem today. The issue could be caused by one of two things: a driver conflict or USB connectivity problem. Due to the age of your printer HP hasn't released a downloadable Pack of full functionality of software and the driver for your printer from Mac OS X 10.7. In fact, full features drivers have not been published for this model of printer from Mac OS X 10.5. Therefore, you rely solely on a driver package V3.1 update Apple to use your printer on your Mac operating system. Below, I will provide you with some Mac standard troubleshooting to solve the printing problem. Can you please follow all the steps below.
- Step 1: Resetting the printing system:
To begin, I will have you reset the printing system on your Mac. Please click herefor instructions on how to perform the reset. When the site opens, follow the steps under "Reset printing in OS X Lion system." This Reset deletes each printer on your Mac. However, it does not uninstall printers. Therefore, if use you other printers on the Mac, once the reset is complete simply make sure printers are attached via a USB cable or connected network and (+) add hide them in. don't add not your HP Photosmart PSC in back at the moment.
Once the reset is complete, proceed to the next step.
- Step 2: Uninstall the drivers and software:
- On the desktop, double-click the Macintosh HD icon if the Macintosh HD icon is not on the desktop, click the Finder icon in the Dock. Click the Macintosh HD under devices.
- Double click on the library folder.
- Double click on the Printers folder.
- Right-click (or Ctrl + click) File HP and then select place it in the trash.
- When you are prompted, type the administrator name and password for the computer, and then click OK.
- Wait for authentication.
- Double click on the PPDs folder.
- Double click on file content .
- Double click on file resources .
- Make a right click (or Ctrl + click) the name of your printer in the product list and select move to the trash.
- When you are prompted, type the administrator name and password for the computer, and then click OK. By clicking OK, all items in your garbage will be permanently deleted from your computer. To remove an item in the Recycle Bin, click on this item to highlight, and then click OK.
- Wait for authentication.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstall.
- Step 3: Check and repair your Mac disk permissions:
- Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
- Go to the Utilities folder
- Open disk utility
- Select the hard disk volume, you use (usually on the left)
- Select verify disk permissions
- Once this process is complete, select repair disk permissions
- Step 4: Manually install the driver Package:
Please click here to manually download the package from Apple to HP printer v3.1 driversupdate. Once the site opens click on the download button at the top. Follow the instructions on the screen to install the driver package.
- Step 5: Check the Apple updates:
- Go to the Apple
- Select System Preferences
- Select software update
- Click update now
- Install your available updates
- Computer restart
- Step 6: Add the device:
1. click on the menu of Apple , then Preferences System.
2. click on Print & Scan and then check if the name of your printer appears in the printer list.
3. click on the name of your printer, click the sign minus (), then remove the printer.
4. click on the plus sign (), click Add a printer or a Scanner, click the name of your printer.
5. click on the area of use or with the help of Print and then select the name of your printer on the shortcut menu. Ensure that the PSC Photosmart driver is selected.
6. click Add to add the printer to the list.
Once installed, test printing in order to confirm that the problem has been resolved. Should print now work properly, Apple likely driver update became corrupt and created problems of printing.

I tried to find manuals how to connect my HP Photosmart all-in-One Printer series - B010 to the network in order to get wireless printing, I followed a few articles, but it seems that my problam is that I can't find a way to connect the printer to the wireless network and find wirleslly on the mac. If it doesn't appear on your printer and not on your PC, right? My bad... I'm in the driver settings. Try holding down the symbol # and 3 at the same time on your printer. This should reset the printer. If this does not work then press the symbol # and 6 at the same time.
To restore the default settings
Press to select Tools, and then press OK.
Press to select Restore Factory Defaults, then press OK.
The default settings are restored.

3. do you get any error code or error message trying to print?
