Hi @sreneecesand welcome to the Forums of HP!

I see that you are having problems with jam.  I would like to help!

I recommend starting by remove (if possible) ink cartridges and perform a power reset the printer.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

I would also say to following the steps outlined in this document:

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • HP PSC 1410: Nonexistent jam

My printer has taken several pages using both and they stuck at half way through.  I released these carefully and open at the front and the back of the printer to make sure that no paper was blocked. All the lights on the printer are green so printer looks good to go.

I watched the video to help to ensure that I did as stated and held the 2 keys on the printer to print a test page.  The test page printed without problems.  However when I then tried to print a word document that I had created it would not print, always advised paper jam.  Print pages of test OK but no document.  Strange ideas?

I agree that it looks like a glitch in communication between the printer and the computer. I suggest to use the following steps to remove the printer from the device and printers and the driver from the properties of the server.

    1. in the folder "devices and printers".

    2. choose "print server properties.

    • Win XP - with no printer selected, click 'File' then 'server properties '.
    • Windows Vista - with no printer selected, press 'Alt' and then click 'file' then 'server properties '.
    • Windows 7/8 and 8.1 - Select any printer in the "Devices and printers" folder and click on "Print server properties" above.

    3. click on the "Drivers" tab at the top of the window "properties of the print server.

    4. choose the printer that you want to uninstall, and then click 'remove '.

    5. choose "Remove driver only.

    6. the next screen will give a warning, letting you know that the removal of the driver package will remove it from the system. Click 'Yes' to say are you sure you want to do.

If documents are stuck in the spooler to print, you see an error, cancel all documents waiting in the print queue or try restart the spooler to print, and then try to delete the driver from 'Print server properties' again. If she will not always remove the sachet, restart the computer and the printer should correct this error "in use" and allow the driver to be removed.

Once the driver is then deleted, open start > all programs > HP folder > folder printer > HP Setup and software (or the icon of the printer).

The installation screen and the software opens and you can click on connect a new printer.

Thanks, I look forward to hear back from you again.

  • traffic jam on the HP Deskjet 3050 all-in-one series takes J611

A few weeks before Christmas, and all seemed well after that I installed it, I bought this printer. I have printed about 100 pages on startup ink, before he asked me to replace black ink. It has the color and black ink, but I have (almost) to print black text pages. Since I replaced the black ink cartridge, I always get an error "jam of transport." The cart moves around, but then gets stuck on the left side. There are a lot of rattling (stuck), then two beeps of ground high, followed by rattling more as it tries to move to the left, until it gives up and - error.

I followed the steps on the scoring of the question, but there is nothing in the field of transport it hampers. I followed a guide to troubleshooting a week ago, but it does not solve the issue. It is a 7 step guide. Then today I got an auto troubleshooting update options, I followed, but did not work.

When I unplug the printer from its rear and check transport I don't see no obstructions, then I plug it it in and close the cartridge door and that's when it starts to by clicking on the left side and get stuck.

Help! I can't print anything now.

Thanks Samierus, I ended up coming back to where I bought it and they had extended the date of return policy so that I was able to negotiate it. I picked the Photosmart 6510, and hope for best results.

  • PSC 1317: Laptop disagrees with printer

I have a HP PSC 1317.  It of a nice printer bit and has served me well.  But now my laptop refuses to argue with her, saying that there is a paper jam.  There was a traffic jam and I disabled it but my laptop always gives the same excuse.  The printer works perfectly well in copy mode paper and passes through without difficulty, but my laptop still refuses to have anything to do with it.

How can I make friends again?

    Hi @TonyDB,

I am sorry to hear of your printer and computer had a disagreement, I'd like to help fix the friendship between them!

We will restart the computer and perform a hard reset. To do this, leave the printer and unplug the power cable for 1 minute. While it is unplugged, press and hold the power button on the printer for 10-15 seconds to release built his power, then after the minute, plug the printer in.

Once both devices are o and ready once again, we will see that they will talk! Please let me know if you can now print. Thank you.

  • Officejet J6480 carriage jams when printing wirelessly via the plugin from HP printing service

I try to print on my printer OfficeJet J6480 HP all-in-one to my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 tablet that runs Android 4.4 Wireless using the "HP Print Service Plugin on the tablet.

    Measures already taken;

Sucessfully downloaded/installed the Service HP Print on shelf Plugin

Radio wireless to the printer and correctly configured to communicate with the router wirelessly activated successfully.

    Problem:

When you try to print something from the tablet to the wireless printer, the printer is trying to perform the print operation (flow paper in the printer from paper tray, shows 'Printing' on the printer screen), but then never made a real impression and gets a 'Transport Jam' indication on the printer screen.

When this occurs above, I opened the hood top, checked for jammed paper in the paper path (Nothing), did tension of printer many times, cycle of fact alignments cleanings and cartridge many times, changed the paper to different types of paper.

None of these actions corrected the problem...

I'll also add that when you perform the steps of printing with the radio wireless on off the printer and the cable connected to the printer, the printer functions normally when you print from my pc applications - no traffic jams. Also, the printer works normally when you perform a function 'copy' locally from the printer control panel - not roadways of jams.

I thought maybe an update of the firmware to the printer could solve this problem - ideas about this being a likely solution?

BTW - how you normally clear / would correct a cart-jam regardless of printing wirelessly or through an ethernet cable?

If the firmware update is not a solution, any comment on what could be the cause of the problem?

If an update is available, could you tell me how to do the upgrade and where can I download it from?

Thanks for all your comments... Denny

    E - rog,

Two things I wanted to first of all thank you a lot for the response to my original message concerning the problem of printing wirelessly to my printer HP J6480 of the Tablet, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 via the Plugin of Service HP Print.

Secondly, I wanted to aplogize for the very long delay in responding to your... I had some health problems with a family member who prevented me to try your suggestions to the problem.

I am pleased to report that I managed to solve the problem... I am now able to print to the printer of the tablet.

A little history on the fix...

I tried to download and install the update of the firmware from the link you provided, while having the printer connected to the PC (Windows) computer via a USB connection, as you suggest. (It was initially connected through my home network, so I had to first uninstall, then reinstall via USB connection). When you try to install the downloaded firmware it failed, even after several attempts to re-downloading/reinstalling.

Instead, I uninstalled the printer again, reinstalled over the home network, downloaded the update of the firmware directly from the HP site by locating the printer model, then the firmware. This time the firmware successfully installed (was able to view the progress of installation of the firmware in the display on the front panel of the printer). Make the installation of the firmware with the printer installed on the network domestic (instead fo via USB), the installation process allowed me to search for the printer on the network - it found it successfully and successfully installed the firmware.

After this successful firmware installation and turn on the wireless radio on the printer (via the button on the front panel), I was able to print successfully from the tablet... YES!

Needless to say, there is no carriage jam messages as before... and I did not try your other suggestions to go to the HP article on carriage jam error States/solutions.

I am really gratefull for your response/suggestions...fixing this problem did the usefulness of my tablet to increase dramatically to have the ability to print... cudos to you for your efforts on this forum and a big "thumbs up" for your records.

    Denny

  • m276nw: m276nw false paper jam

The printer says there is a jam in the output tray.  There was a traffic jam that has been authorized.  It's a plain white paper.  Even if the jam has been cleared, he thinks that there is a jam.

Print queue is clear, and I ran the doctor print and scan.  He sees that there is a paper jam, but I don't see where I can do something to the doctor to remove the false jam.

I have opened all the doors on the printer and cannot find the jammed paper.

I tried a hard reset when I unplug the printer while it is on, wait 60 seconds, then plug it in again.  He claims that there is a jam.

Completely disassembled printer according to the instructions in the service manual and found a small piece of paper, raising one of the indicators of near the exit roller.  Apparently it must have been in the stack of paper once it has been loaded into the printer.  It's only visible and accessible after a complete tear down.

Far as I can tell the service manuals are not available on the HP site...  You guys really should have these available on your site.  I couldn't find on external sites.

  • HP Envy 5530 not print Word Document correctly / Jam

I am having several problems with my HP Envy 5530. It says there is no paper in the tray when there's at least 50-75 pages into the tray. Then it will say paper (which is the standard of printing paper) is too short. It will start to print a page then says "Ink drying" and sucks the paper in the printer, causing a traffic jam. This happens several times. Then I fish the paper from the printer and that paper is unusable. I lost a lot of paper on this printer. When I get a word document to print, it does not print correctly. This is a 2 page document and it will print a piece of the first page at the bottom of the page with a gap from the beginning of the second page on top. All on the same sheet of paper. What I don't want at all. It is not at all my first problem with this printer. I am happy to my other question about color printing has been resolved, but it's not good. The scanner lid broke also. I feel like it was a bad purchase and I never had so many problems with my printer until I bought an HP printer. Not a good use of money and I think to return if possible.

    Hi @StudioLily,

I'm sorry to hear that the printer keeps jamming and you get an 'out of paper' error message when there is a lot of paper in the paper tray. I want to help you.

I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.

Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector.
This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

Try and print a self-test on the printer hardware to see if it is a hardware or software problem.

    Printing a Network Setup Page.

I submitted this document to the feed rollers check paper, paper for cleaning, (dust and dirt from the air can build up on the rollers, making them smooth, blocking the paper sensor) and check the print drivers to ensure that the paper type and size is set correctly.

An "Out of paper" message on the control panel and the printer doesn't pick up paper.

Please provide detailed results if you're still having problems.

    Good day!
    Thank you.

  • Avoid a string to be treated as a protocol in the url bar

I use toolbar url to google and other search engines.
If I want to use the "site:" string of keyword search in one single site firefox tells me that the Protocol (site) is not associated
I want to just use google, firefox should not intervene.
    How to do this?

You can also use a keyword search to avoid traffic jams with tent at a glance upward with a search for a Word through the address bar.

I use a simple 'g' for searching with Google.

It's easier to add quotes to me.

You can create a keyword bookmark or add a keyword in a search engine via the search bar settings

    1. Right click on icon to search on the search bar engine
    2. Open Manage search engines
    3. Click Change keyword

  • DAQmx read results 2 ms/s in high CPU usage

I have an application that reads the 32 channels of 2 ms/s analog input signals, at the same time. The actual hardware will be: SMU-8135 Win7, chassis SMU-1071, 2 x SMU-6368 (16 channels). The SMU-two 6368 will provide 32 channels data acquisition.

I don't have the material at the moment, but I've been estimate the processor on the alternative configurations needs, because I have concerns about the use of the CPU to data acquisition high speed. Two alternative configurations are:

    (1) SMU-8133 (quad core) WinXP, SMU-1062 q, PXI-6133.

    (2) PXI-8106 (dual-core) WinXP, PXI-6133, PXI-1042.

Note: PXI-6133 supports high speed HAVE 2 ms/s, at the same time.

I wrote a simple continuous data acquisition software to allow me to compare the CPU usage. The sample rate and the number of channels are configurable. What I found is:

    (1) at low sampling frequency, for example 100 kech. / s, the CPU usage is minimal on both configurations (bicoeur or image), regardless of the number of channels is 1 or 8. The reading of the CPU was about 1-4%

    (2) at high sampling frequency, for example 2 ms/s, what is the number of channels used, either 1 or 8, the CPU utilization was 50% for dual core and 25% for the quad core, IE. a full core has been fully utilized.

    (3) the passage of the low use of the processor (<5%) to="" high="" cpu="" usage="" (="">45%) increases when the sampling rate is rather steep and shows interesting channel-dependence (note the following has been achieved with a PXI-8106 controller, dual-core).

    • @1 channel, it happened between 950 to 970 k
    • @2 channels, it happened between 470 to 480 k
    • @4 channels, it happened between 230 to 240 k,.
    • @8 channels, it happened between 120 to 130 k.

This model reminds me of buffer length related question but I double checked a sufficient length of the buffer was used. He suggested also, surprising a few traffic jams occurred when the amount of data increases up to certain level.

My question is, is this a problem with this particular card (PXI-6133) or driver DAQmx (9.5.5f4). How the problem is when I'm doing an acquisition of 32 channels?

For your information, I have attached the benchmarking software.

    Thank you!

    Donghui Yin

I followed this example code (see link below) and used based on events DAQmx, now the excessive CPU utilization problem has been resolved. Playback from the CPU is now less than 10 percent, while it could be 50% (in the case of dual-core) or 25% (case of hearts) at the same sample rate and number of channels.

  • Project to the bitfile corruption file

I have a 'good' bitfile when it is deployed to the target allows us to meet our system requirements wrong position, and a waiting time.  Unfortunately there are other known issues with this version that must be corrected before you can restore the system.  However, the problem I've encountered is that all attempts to rebuild the project, even without changes to the environment or VI, translates into a generation that enjoyed considerable position error.  At this point, I also wonder if the project which was used to generate the 'good' original construction is actually correct or if another project had been used; several projects in doubles are created at around the same date as the 'good' generation so it is difficult to know.  In any event attempts to rebuild one of these files without changes still does not get us the original performance.

The backups created the drive where these files, but unfortunately they were made manually and do not close moved the time of the 'good' generation (before 6 months, 6 months after).  To my knowledge, there has been no update for LabView that have been installed, in part because we had so many questions that I don't know that they do not want to create other unknowns during development.  So we are always running LabView 2014 (version 14.0f1) and take advantage of the NI 9155 chassis, I can enumerate modules installed as well if it would be of value.

Is it possible that I can determine the bitfile project file?  Are there environmental things that could change, and if so how can I check?  Other thoughts?  We are really in a traffic jam on this one, and I would appreciate any ideas and help.

    Ben

    Ben,

If you don't change anything I don't know why there would be differences between the files, on a functional level. The Xilinx tools can present slight differences in how they are compiled and I saw small differences occur when the same components are moved on a chart. In particular, I've seen slightly better performance come more own diagrams FPGA.
