  My work machine is a Mini PC Z240 from HP. Last month, the machine began to hang randomly and display blue screen errors. There is not much in the way perceptible models, but it tends to happen when the machine is in use, rather than the idling, and I can reproduce it systematically using the constraint of Prime95 test utility. When I put it to maximize the heat of CPU, as soon as I stop the test, the screens of the blue machine, which indicates a cooling issue.

  My system came with an Nvidia PCIe card. I would like to delete this card and use the integrated graphics card. Whenever I have remove the PCIe, the system will just beep and it would not work. I went into the bios but cannot find anything to enable the integration.

  Watch that the processor is a Xeon E3-1240V5 which has no integrated graphics. Xeon processors have not integrated as part of their design graphics.

  FYI, I found an answer, I'll post here in case someone else has this issue:

  Go to system-> keyboard-> shortcuts Preferences and change "Full keyboard access" to "all controls". So when you talk about the speed custom dialog box, you can press SHIFT + Tab then down arrow to access the box "time".

  It seems to me that I've changed this before setting and it has consequences in other programs that I didn't like, but I don't remember what they were. Fortunately, the System Preferences dialog box has a note that says "press control + F7 to change this setting", so it's easy to turn it off when necessary.

• Custom PCB connection

  I use the NI SMU-6363 map to control my measurement sequence. The only way to get the signals input/output to the card is through the SHC68-68-EPM cable using the SCB-68 screw terminal has. However, the Terminal screw requires a lot of space useless and wiring, which is essentially redundant in my application. The best way for me would be to make a PCB custom (carrying all relays, sensors, clamping devices, etc.) which would be connected to the Board directly via the cable. I could find the original used to screw terminal connector, but I have found no pinout describing the signals on the connector. It would be nice if NEITHER could share these patterns, so it would not be necessary to use the original or if there is even some (for example Eagle) library that contains these parts. Does anyone have experience with this issue?

  Combining these two information you are able to design a customized with the connector PCB, as for the SCB - 68. BTW the SCB-68 connector has is: PC - E (68) MD or PC - E (68) LMD or PCS-E (68) LMD (T) - depends on the form factor (detroit, right angle, with of boardlock). Or even other "subtypes". Generally, this is a serie.050 connector. Just find a serious producer, and on his site, you can download a template, or demand on their part.

• Asynchronous custom device fails to stop

  While I was developing a custom asynchronous device, I came across a problem with the cancellation of the deployment of the .nivsproj I created to test the custom device.

  The custom device would send the error: -307730 Error Message: NI Veristand: one or more asynchronous custom devices did not close correctly and has been abandoned by the Veristand engine.

  I decided to do some troubleshooting for what could be wrong with the custom device by creating a separate custom device using the custom device model. I left completely intact model and it has deployed to our machine pharlap. When I canceled the intact custom asynchronous device it gave me the same error as above.

  I use Labview 2010 Professional version 10.0f2 development system, NI Veristand 2010 for a complete system of development and deployment of the .nivsproj on a licensed machine Pharlap.

  Zach-H by using simple device custom you provided I was able to create a custom asynchronous device that was able to stop. This allowed me to insert instructions printed in the two devices to help out what was causing the unit to raise an error when stopping.

  The culprit seems to be the NI VeriStand - Get loop Type.vi. The type of loop is never defined in the initialization.vi or the main.vi of the device model tool customized. So, when the RT pilot ran VI.vi the Type.vi loop get it would exit always false for the clock of the device to use and never use the correct name of the device clock. Without the name of the unit's clock he would never get a reason for reactivation.

  I forced the vi to use the clock of the device listed in the custom device model tool and I was able to shut down properly.

  TimothyA, you are right about the features of the measuring device. Even with the error of abnormal termination, the meter continues to operate normally after each deployment.

  Thanks for pointing out the problem with no channel being added to the measuring device. I'll make sure the custom device I develop handles the case where no channel, input or output, are added.
