HP Simplepass and validity sensor Versions
Hello
I recently had trouble with the digital simplepass and validity of hp. What are the latest version which are compatible with others and my computer?
It's an Australian Pc by the way
Product name: HP ENVY m6 (m6-1117mx) laptop
Product number: C7E77PA #ABG
8.1 Windows 64-bit
Thanks for your help!
Hi Cookie,
I don't like upgrades. I had so much trouble with them.
You are the only first posting engine error, thank you for this. It actually helps.
Have you installed the following from the Support Page of your computer?
Driver v9.4.0.1026 and Intel Chipset Installation Utility sp63640
I agree that other people have the same problem - on a large number of these systems on which people have the worst problems, operating systems are indeed updated.
============================================================================
As to the original question; I work around it.
The answer is, as I understand it:
- HP SimplePass 2011 / 2012 V5.3.1.7 (the most recent of the 'old' versions still in use)
> Driver 4.3.118
- HP SimplePass 2011 V5.4.0.402 - buggy and not recommended
- HP SimplePass V5.4.0.620 (from AuthenTec) - is no longer available
NOTE: None of the above versions work with newer versions of browsers Firefox or Chrome
- HP SimplePass V6.0.100.257, V6.0.100.272 - obsolete, while 272 is always used and works for these books for which it was originally planned.
- HP SimplePass V6.0.100.276 latest version, series 6 AuthenTec - available at HP
> Validity sensor Driver 4.3.205.0 (or later / more recent)
The latest version of series 6, if already installed AND that if he worked previously with Chrome, can still work with Chrome IF a particular solution is used AND of workaround is installed before the original Extension nonfunctional is removed from Chrome. Confusing? Yes.
Series 8 HP SimplePass, the Softex version that now comes with new HP laptops, works with Windows 7 to Windows 8.x - when it works at all. (Personal observation). Series 8 requires Internet Explorer. Series 8 worked for about three weeks with Chrome Google stomped on it. Series 8 HP SimplePass seems to work with 4.3.205.0 drivers and newer.

Envy of HP dv6 7210TX: Validity Sensor does not not on windows 10
I recently installed windows 10 and downloaded the validity on the site sensor but the sensor does not, what may be the problem and how to solve?
Although there is not a Windows 10 validity driver for your system, Windows 8 driver can work.
sp58900 validity sensor V4.4.234.0 W8 - W8.1
To use the program SimplePass, know that before, you can do if you need complete a few items:
Implementation / assign a PIN code in settings PC as if you are going to use Windows Hello. The PIN code is necessary, regardless of whether you actually 'Hello' - requirement for the PIN code is an additional security that Windows has put in place.
Without taking into account Simplepass, you want to get the native Windows logon work of fingerprints - while the Windows logon provides access to Web sites, it does not support connecting to your computer.
Once arrived at the point where you're ready for SimplePass, you want to use the latest version of the program in the respective series.
There are two different flavors of SimplePass:
- Windows 7 through Windows 10: series 6 HP SimplePass V6.0.100.276 (AuthenTec)
- Windows 7-Windows 10: series 8 HP SimplePass V8.01.46A and upward (Softex)
These "flavors" are programs separated; You cannot 'upgrade' of series 6 to 8 sets - you can change the program from one genre to the other, that is, remove one and install on the other.

NEED HELP FAST
Hello
An option to try and install the latest version of SimplePass on the link below.
http://www.EgisTec.com/websitedownload/patch/BioExcess/RELEASE7.1BUILD5.9%20BIOEXCESS7.1B5.0-HP.zip
It is a zipped file. If you do not have an extraction utility installed, download and install 7-Zip , which can be used to open it so that you can run the installer - just click with the right button on the zipped file, select 7 - Zip, select extract files and click OK. Setup for SimplePass located in the newly extracted folder. Once the installation is complete, restart the laptop.
Kind regards

Need help with validity sensors, drivers works... software?
I bought a HP Pavilion dv6tse-3000 Select Edition laptop PC in August of this year, and it came with Windows 7 Home Premium. I started school in September and got a licensed copy (true of course) of Windows 7 Professional edition (the one that comes with a remote server through VPN), and finally I had just enough time on a weekend open to install it.
Thing is, which is the edition that my school licensing is NOT a version upgrade, rather a full version requiring a clean wipe of my HARD drive. Anyway, this led to erase me my disc to install, leaving the drivers must be reinstalled.
So I reinstalled all the off-site Internet HP specialized for my computer and my copy of Windows 7 64 bit, and everything is pretty much in working condition and return to the same except for two things...
The first would be Smart Menu of HP I think as they call it, mainly the small poster that come on the screen when you press the hardware buttons like volume up/down or mute, etc. That isn't really a huge problem, but if someone knows how to get back them please share
The biggest problem is the validity sensors/finger printer scanner that my laptop is equipped. I installed the latest drivers from the HP site, and it seems as if they installed smoothly, they appear in my add/remove program Panel and Device Manager shows that it works, but the problem is how I use it now? I used to scan my finger to simply log into Windows and unlock my account instead of using a password and scan on websites that require log ins, but this Panel is now gone!
HOW CAN I GET THAT BACK?
Thank you
You can download HP SimplePass from here ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp50001-50500/sp50048.exe

Have you installed the software driver and security of fingerprint sensor?
This package contains the driver that allows the validity fingerprint sensor in the notebook models that are running a supported operating system. The fingerprint sensor analyzes fingerprints for use with biometric security applications.
File name: sp56169.exe
This package contains the software HP SimplePass Identity Protection 2011 for the notebook models and operating systems. This software protects the identity information and account access using fingerprint of the owner of the computer.

ZBook 15u G2: validity sensor software
I had to unload the validity sensor software to install the new driver of validity for 10 Windows sensor. I need to download the software from sensor but can't find it on the HP site. Please notify.
Thank you.
Ah - well, Validity Sensor is the name of the driver software.
The name of the security program that interacts with the fingerprint reader and its driver is probably the Client Security program - and unfortunately, this program is not listed for Windows 10 or even the 8.1 Windows operating system for this laptop.
Another Expert may have an idea of something that could work, that is, a version of the Client Security program for your system.
At the same time, if you are interested in getting at least work "Hello Windows" (native Windows fingerprint logon), I think it would be certainly possible.
You can temporarily cut your Fast Start / quick start if you updated your driver validity sensor and the new driver is not yet accepted / recognized by the system.
Quick start - turn on or off in Windows 10

The book that I use to learn selenium is based on firefox version 17.0.1. I know this is an old version, but I want to be consistent with the book. I installed this earlier version of firefox and now need to install a compatible version of firebug. There was a Web site: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/firebug/versions/?page=2
I found a compatible version of firebug on this site but I need to make sure that it is a secure site and valid to download from?Yes, addons.mozilla.org is a logical site to download from.

EliteBook 840 G1: Validity Sensor fingerprint reader is not listed in biometric devices
I received an Elitebook 840 G1, tried to turn on the fingerprint reader, but it was not acknowledged.
Control Panel/biometrics devices, there is no device, although the "Validity Sensor" Device Manager is listed, the pilot seems too. I installed HP ProtectTools Security Manager, where I can find the footprints of the option, but to logon Windows is always Username/Password the only option to log on the system.
Check the BIOS, fingerprint logon is enabled. Tried to uninstall Validity Sensor and then reinstall it, didn't work.OS: Win7 (x 64)
Thank you in advance!
See you soon,.
Thomas
In the meantime, I found the solution:
I've updated HP Client (sp63509) Security Manager, opened the program, registered my fingerprints and checked 'Windows logon security' at home/Advanced Settings / Security Features.
It finally works, I can not connect with my fingerprints.
(Again, under control panel / biometric devices there is no item listed)See you soon,.

Validity Sensor does not work after a while
Hello
I have a HP DV5t with windows Vista running on it. The fingerprint sensor works very well for a while when the system is started, but then does not respond when I slide my finger on it.
In addition, I go to services and see the service Validity Sensor has the status 'on the road', but then when I restart the sensor service starts to meet again for a short period of time before it returns to the dormant mode again.
The time it takes to reach the stage where it stops responding is not consistent. Could you please help me identify the problem and fix it?
just an info. . I tried recovering system, driver upgrades/restorations to date but in vain.
Thanks a ton!
Prashanth
I think you're right and it comes down to a driver problem.
There is probably a problem with the sensor when it shuts down or trying to 'wake up '.
Whatever it is, you will probably have to wait just for the seller to come out with a patch. Are there settings in software sensor that have to do with power? I doubt it, but it's worth the trip.
