  Hi vij12pan, welcome to the Forums of HP. I didn't find any documentation for troubleshooting specific to lose connectivity to your device. If this isn't a hardware problem and not a problem with your service provider, then perhaps this diagnosis could apply: Tablet Locks Up or freezes (Android 4.2/Jelly Bean)

• Problem with the volume of a new 7 Slate

  I'll put up a new slate of 7 and I have a problem with the sound.  I have all the sliders to the max value, but any video or app plays at a very low volume on the builtin speakers. A trial has been with FIOS app that allows me to stream TV shows. I have to hold the Tablet so the speakers are right next to my ear to make the same concersations on the show and it's barely...

  Am I missing something?

  How to make your slate with audio files simply by using the application to play music?  And have you tried to play a trailer of the game of Google?  Type right on a movie title and play the trailer by typing on the > arrow.

  What if you use headphones?

  Do you have ear system sounds?  Go to settings > sounds > Touch seems to be there where there is a checkbox on the right whether Touch sounds are on or off.

  Speakers of slate are not all that, but they do not produce a sound that is strong enough to listen to the TV shows and movies.  If you can not enough volume of them with other applications such as the music plays, there may be a hardware problem.

  A few other suggestions... try to restart it.  And back to headphones, try inserting a headphone plug in all the way and disconnected.

  Do or can techs HP make remote access with your 7 2800 HP Slate Tablet?

  I do not use too much according to that I first bought and don't think to ask for a refund. Too late. However, perhaps a remote connection would allow the technicians HP Tablet check my tablet.

  Sorry, this action you want is not possible.  HP CSR can only remote control in Windows PC.

  You use wifi American channels for your hot spot?  (1 - 11)?

  Slate 7 28xx cannot use European channels above 11.

  Are the songs downloaded on the device, or you use a streaming service?

  Make sure that you have stopped all unnecessary apps running in the background and other housekeeping tasks as to clear the memory cache on the device (settings/storage/tap Cache/Clear Cache.

  Hi, I have a HP slate 7 more. He sees my iPhone 4S ios7.1 wifi hotspot, I click on connect after entering the password. Wifi said is saved, but never connects. I tried to pair to my iPhone. Slate says it is paired, but my iphone says it is not connected via Bluetooth. Is there a problem of comparability with the slate and the iphone?

  No need, my problem was solved by removing the special characters from my name to hotspot

  First post of this forum and a relatively new user of any kind of Tablet.  Yes, sorry if I miss some "Exchange of detachment" to ask for the help.

  There is a NEW Tablet and after download/installation of operating system updates, went to download WeatherBug on Store.  WeatherBug was not available.

  I found an alternative download site, but was messaged that the version is not compatible.

  It seems strange that I've installed WeatherBug on all everything I have.

  Android version: 4.1.1

  Kernel Version 3.0.8.

  Unfortunately, since the Slate7 has no built-in GPS chip, programs are written and require the chip will be displayed as "incompatible".

• Slate 7-2800 - Settinsg stopped responding when connecting to Wifi

  I have a 7-2800 slate that I just got yesterday.  WiFi connectivity works fine at home.  However, I'm at work, try to connect to our wifi and it works at all.

  When I try ti connect to our main network, I get error that "Unfortunately, the settings has stopped" as soon as I enter my password and click on connect.

  Fixing a few screenshots.  The network worked very well for my phone and no one else is having problems with other devices, but I don't think that someone else has a slate.

  It appears usually when you try to join a wireless network that uses EAP and MSCHAP encryption schemes.  Does your office use?

  One solution is to download a free software called "Wireless Manager" from the game store.  Please check the thread for instructions.

  You try to attach a "USB key" USB storage device directly to your micro-USB port on the Tablet?  It will not work.

  Download one of the many free recorder voice applications available in the game store!

  I just tried to 'Smart Voice Recorder' and it worked very well.  (I am not affiliated with the author).  Just type "Start Recording" and go!  There's even a feature to silence 'Skip' to record the size of the record.

  It is now very clear to me why we S7E owners did not have a 4.4.2 update. It's really very simple. The version of Beats Audio absolutely identical (other than the speakers, periphery issues) came out and cost $50 more. It has 4.4.2 and gives a more differentiation between our S7E and Beats Audio version. So it seems that HP is just ignored us for the good of their tablet latest. I'm sure they could easily push the Beats Audio provided with exact update because this is an identical device in everything that is important. Well, I guess we just have to wait.

  New slate 7 android will not accept an exisiting Goggle even when there is a wifi connection. error meassage is 'can't establish a reliable connection to the server.

  Have you tried:

  -Restart the Tablet?

  -Voltage of your router?

  -A source different wifi? (to rule out any problem between your router and the Tablet)

  Check the data being entered too, ensuring that there were no typos involved.

  I see three versions available for my Tester Expert Pro 8 Slate from HP. Choose the most recent version. It will save time in the system to date.

• Should I really a fighter 'slate' on my video for Comcast?

  I know just enough video production to get me in trouble... like now.

  I made a 30 second commercial spot that will air on Comcast Network somewhere.  The piece is an animation of AE (5.5) with 7 seconds of video in.

  I have Comcast specifications and (with the help of people on this forum) built the AE project correctly.  Now I have FTP of Comcast instructions and I see the following:

  "Some markets require all spots should have a slate that identifies the title spot, customer and duration and seven seconds of black between the slate and the task and seven seconds of black depending on the location."  "

  Right now I don't know what my 'market' demands so I thought I would prepare my outing with slate and without.

  However - I don't have a real physical slate so here is the idiotic questions.

  Is this acceptable (albeit non-professional) to only make a handwritten sign indicating the title, the client, duration, etc.  What do I do?

  How about, instead of shooting video of the sign, if I just put a text on layers with AE on a black background?  Who will be sufficient or should it be video?

  
  

  I can't honestly imagine I would actually have to applaud.  I am no where near the place where the audio behind the animation has been recorded and the video installation is also long gone, so my clap audio level will have no connection with the rest of the production.  The audio is locked/synchronized with the animation and video, it is not necessary for them to sync before they are broadcast.  Of what value would a clap sound?   

  Another question gnawing at me.  How long slate should be on the screen--with or without the clap?

  I would really appreciate some answers from an experienced person.  I'm not in trouble too deep right now, but by tomorrow, things could be disastrous.

  The slate is just a slide that identifies the clip. There is sometimes a countdown which ends at 2. When there is a countdown you usually put an audio pop or a beep to the mark two seconds. It is black then the task fades to 0. This signal is called a Pop 2.

  Slates can also be handled by color bars.

  You must follow specifications exactly or the video will be rejected.
