  Last night, I did a search and find one on eBay, and its cost is more than $70, just for a basic screen. Because you must pay for the cost of work on the top, I don't think it's the smart choice. Buy a new unit.

• Activate the vibration of the HP Slate 7 Extreme

  I installed an app that is supposed to give vibrations for notifications and all. However, it is not, and later I realize that even when I get a notification email, I get any vibrations. is it possible to activate it? or I can't?

  in reality slate 7 extreme doesn't have a physical vibrator in it. do you have what software installed? There could be another option to make a sound on the speaker who could be like a vibration noise.

  Hey Droid community Ultra/Maxx! I would like to solicit your help in creating a document to help others who are considering upgrading (or who have already updated) for the new Kit Kat OS 4.4.2. I know that many of you who have taken the time to join this forum are very experienced users and are much more aware of the changes in the new OS I am. Your contribution would be very appreciated. And this is not to say that noobs like me do not have something valuable to contribute! Everyone is valued and respected in my opinion, so please don't hesitate to contribute.

  I just read an article that said that phones nexus would have Google update dialer as part of the Kit Kat. Anyone know if there is any truth to that? I was really looking forward to this feature.

  Yes, the smart Dialer of Google is specific to the Nexus of phones line and is not included. Here are the other things that are exclusive Nexus.

  I have a Tablet slate extreme 7 ". You turn off the clicking it makes when I touch the screen. It is not good for the meetings.

  You can try one of the following:

  -Go to settings App/sounds/Touch sounds.  Uncheck the box.

  -Press and hold the Power button until a Menu appears with "Silent Mode" as an offering.  Select it to switch the muted.

  -Use your Volume button to activate the sound completely off (mute) function before entering the meeting!

• V10 - slate 7 Extreme

  Dear HP,

  Recently I see HP has just released a new Firmware, v10, at the extreme 7 slate device, but I don't know what has been updated.  Is there a log of the changes to explain the v10 from the v7 updates?

  The file size is greater than the previous version of 30 MB.  Any idea what has been to date and/or fixed?

  Dear WyreNut,

  I managed to figure out... the HP Documentation for the UPDATE is missing a step.  After #7, you must press the POWER BUTTON + VOLUME UP AGAIN to bring up the Options MENU.

  From there on, I was able to select UPDATE of external storage.

  Also, this UPDATE is the last update 4.3 JellyBean, so hopefully see 4.4.

• Slate 7 Extreme - power behavior

  I got my tab 7 Extreme for a week now and generally like him, but today she showed unusual behaviour: firstly, after fully charged the unit from one day to the next I used for about an hour. When I tried to stop him he would not be stopped. After several tries I just held the button down and it stops after about 1 minute. A few hours later, I tried again to turn it on, and he had no answer. Many trials. I put aside and began the paperwork back and after 5-7 minutes, it starts all of a sudden in itself. It seems to work OK now. He doesn't own? Is this a normal behavior? If the unit is defective, I want to be able to return within the warranty period.

  When you tried to stop, did you hold the power button until you've seen the menu with 'Power Off' option?

  When you pressed it, what happened?  Nothing the menu remained, and he disappeared?

  It wasn't downloading tons of updates at the same time?

• Bluetooth music streaming problem - Kit Kat

  When streaming music to a Bluetooth device music sometimes radically curs in and out, sometimes a break as long as one or two seconds. Someone to another notice that and is there a solution?

  So I did a little search on the interwebs, and this problem is pretty widespread. Someone suggested the max of compensation, and I had never done this before. So, I checked my chashed data and I got more than 1.5 GB. I erased it and Bluetooth seems to work fine now. The source of the info also reset recommeded making a plant, but I'm not interested in doing that. I follow here in a few days to the report if the problem comes back.

• Issue of micro slate 7 extreme 4400us.

  I'm just curious to know where is the MIC located on the Tablet?

  The microphone is behind the mesh speaker on the front-right-top of the tablet.
