• HP Slate 7 2800 - DON'T be CHARGING not

  For the last few days my HP Slate 2800 7 has not charged.

  A week ago, I noticed that the connection between the Tablet and the cable was loose and detach easily. But even if it is loose, it would charge.

  Now, it does not load at all. I tried several different micro usb cables connected to the wall adapter or a computer or laptop without success. I checked the micro usb for lint or dust port, but it is perfectly clean. I tried several micro usb cables, and none has made a difference. I've never dropped my tablet, nor is he come in contact with water or liquid. I used to charge my tablet on a daily basis and took good care of her.

  I would like to know if HP can fix it or if I can do it myself. My tablet is only two months old.

  A new tablet should arrive tomorrow.

• My Hp Slate Tablet Wont turn on HELP!

  I recently bought a hp slate 7tablet 2 days ago and its doesn't turn is not on. As I put it to load, but it won't turn. I tried to load it into a different power outlet, but nothing happens. I know for sure the plugs work fresh body of my mother her phone to the Jack of all I tried pois it you PLEASE someone TELL ME HOW TO TURN IT ON AGAIN!

  Try to keep the power, volume up and volume DOWN all pressed at the same time for about 20 seconds (or until you see a menu appear).

  If you get the menu, navigate using the volume switch then select "Reboot".  See if the Tablet starts normally.

  In addition, if you have another convenient micro-USB cable, try using it with the charger supplied with the Slate7.  It is possible that the original cable have been damaged.  Do not use a cell phone charger because they are not able to provide enough "juice" for the Slate7.

• Slate 7 compatible andoid app

  I write an android app specifically for use with the HP Slate 7 and when I import the apk on Google game it indicates that it is not compatible with the HP Slate 7 even if I fully tested it on the device itself.  I've included the parts of my file AndroidManifest.xml below showing what Android they filter through and you can see that I tried explicitly to NOT require certain characteristics so that it can work.  Any ideas why my application is illustrated as not compatible?

  Thanks for the reply.  I finally understand for a reason any game Google don't think that 7 Slate has a compatible camera and uses-feature entries I had in my AndroidManifest.xml where uppercase and should be lowercase.  After the change to lowercase and saying Google play that the camera was not necessary, it worked.

  Can I put a Slate of Android 4.1 to 4.2 7?

  I don't think at the moment that a version 4.2 android is available for 7 slate as it has just launched with 4.1, although it is possible that one may be available in the future.

• Slate 7 impossible to insert the sandisk ultra 32 GB micro sd class10

  I bought a sandisk ultra 32 GB micro SD class 10 SKU SDSDQU - 032 G-CFAP-out of amazon. When I insert in my 7 slate and push on to try to get to the spring to engage and the drive to go it is not. I can't get the SD card to stay in and I feel a spring, but it won't click to take the SD
  Is this a compatibility problem because I bought the bad micro SD for the 7 slate or I do something wrong to load? Or my new slate had a defect?

  Make sure that you are pressing far enough. It will not be flush with the edge of the device; It is accidental ejection/loss of the microSD card. You may need to use your nail, on a credit card, or small flat-head screwdriver. (I can do that easily with a fingernail and mine are short, but others have reported that it is a little challenging).

• Slate car charger 7

  Someone at - it does one know of a car usb charger which will be responsible for the 7 Slate. I'm 3 strikes & out. I got the dual usb charger base Amazon & then realized that it wasn't for tablets as it turned off only 1 ampere per port. Then I got the double charger port Powergen 2.1 amp had the protocol port Apple & a standard port. It doesn't work any more. I had then charger dual port 3.1 amp Powergen gave 3.1 amp Apple or the standard protocol port if necessary and it doesn't work anymore. I give up. What the hell does the HP with the load on this little tablet. Where's dedicated car charger so if they are new, they have had this problem. Please HELP PEOPLE if you have a solution. I'm a quadriplegic and sat on the largest emergency battery power that anyone has & I can load everything I own, except for my new HP Slate 7.

• Slate 7: not silent keyboard

  in the General settings I turned off the sound when you touch"(Tone EIB Beruhrung). It works fine except when you use the keyboard: he the sound continues unless I put the full slate on mute.

  Go to settings > language and input. Press the button to the right of the Android keyboard settings. Uncheck the sound on keypress.

  If you have any keyboard additional apps installed (I use CooTek), you may also need to check the settings to disable the keyboard when you use app.

  I can't find info on a release date for the 7 Slate in Ireland. I know that it was released in the United Kingdom, but I prefer to buy local.

  Thanks for the update on the issue.  I'm glad to hear the team home and Home Office strives to find you a Slate 7 to buy.  Sometimes a phone call is the easiest way at the end, but am glad that you posted here on the forums of your experience.  It sheds light on the issue and gives a work around for the future customers of the Ireland who may be looking for this product until the retailers in this area begin to store the product.

• HP Pro slate 8: HP Pro slate 8 (K7X61AA) - OTA upgrade has failed and not able to apply the HP upgrade.zip

  Last week, I received the tablet. Since then, the OTA update failed 3 times. So I searched around the Web and found a page which State to load the update.zip to SD card and install on recovery Menu:

  But it does not work also. After the system says 'check' package it briefly shows the Android Robot for less then half a second that an i will be back to the Recovery menu.

  Solved by myself.

  The upgrade from SD card did not work, because the tablet had a problem with my SD 32 GB Class10 card. I used an 8 GB Class 4 and it worked fine.

  There is so today 10 minutes new update i saw 4.4.2 excited and I wanted to install it, but installation failed due to internet connection, internet connection simply collapsed and now I have android dead with red triangle, my battery was 98% charged 5 GB of free space. I have all of the options are

  Restart the system now

  apply the update of external storage

  apply the update of the Asian Development Bank

  Wipe data / factory reset

  Wipe cache partition

  Any program for this like Sony and Nexus have?

  The card adapter SD has a protection against writing about that switch?  (The small white ball?)  It is not supposed to not work in these devices...

  It is a failure because you can't restore an old construction on one that is newer (although she was not able to complete!)

  You can not put JellyBean on a device that has tasted KitKat.

  I'll try HP speeding download KitKat images for the 10 HD bug slate, but you may have to bug them too.

  I just got a new slate Pro 12 with Kit Kat installed. In my view, there is an update for the pacifier, but I read online that Lollipop 5.1 is the version to go to.

  I just bought a slate. It is in camera mode by default when it starts or I turn it on from sleep mode. I thought I'd go to the default home screen would be more logical and useful. Can I change?

  I think that is probably what is happening is that you're unlocking in the camera app. On the default lock screen, you have the ability to slide to unlock and go directly to the home screen, the camera application, or Google.

  When you try to unlock the screen, place your finger on the lock icon and then drag to unlock (right) icon to unlock directly to the home screen (or an open application, or what was on the screen when the screen locked). Drag left to open the camera, sliding upward opens Google.

• Slate 7: common and other: too small text size

  When you use the "common" applications and during exploration down in an article, it cannot be read as the text size is too small. It cannot be expanded. (same behavior for example, OneNote apps). The mentioned applications work fine on my Samsung tab and also on my Nexus phone.
