  Wire in a BT Home Hub

  Laptop HP EVO, running wireless

  Problem:

  I can no longer print the laptop wireless. I need to go to my office and print something. Then only the printer seems to be "awake", and then I can print from the laptop. As you can imagine this is not how it is supposed to be and this causes a lot of frustration.

  The printer is also set for a static IP address (it was to solve other printing problems ). I also checked the firmware, and it is up to date.

  Please tell us how to solve this problem.

  There could be many reasons why this is happening, so please bear with me.

  I see what your printer firmware is up to date, which is good.

  • Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

  Please try Fix It tool of Microsofts, solve printer problems.

  You do not share the printer from the computer desktop you have in sharing files and printing? Otherwise, this could cause part of the problem.

  Do you turn the printer power on and off?

  I can't see what your printer is connected to the BT Hub with an ethernet cable.

  It is possible that the laptop is connected to the printer cannot communicate on the 5.0 GHz network. If they are of the same name that will be confusing.

  Have you tried to configure the wireless and no cable connection on the printer to see if it makes a difference?

  • Set the primary DNS as 8.8.8.8
  • And the secondary DNS as 8.8.4.4

  I use "HP solutions Center" scan on my 7310 all-in-in-one software. I have upgraded to Windows 10 & it worked just fine. I just got the latest update of Windows-10 last week. Now, HP Solution Center does not open. When I click on the desktop icon I get anything other than an alert tone - no other indication of what was wrong.

  I uninstalled the driver & it is reinstalled from the HP site - no change.  I have Windows-10 was last updated. I used the diagnostic tests HP & test progs and I know for printer and scanner will not work. The problem seems to be in the service of the HP Solution Center software.

  Also I tried to download the app 'HP Scan & Capture'. It won't download-

• OfficeJet J4680: HP Solution Center has stopped working with Windows 10

  From today, after the last version 10 of Windows Update to the HP Solution Center software won't start/open.  After clicking to open, there is a beep and nothing.  No dialogue error or indication that something does not, but the program does not start.

  He had worked all the way up through yesterday with the latest versions of the Solution Center and Windows 10 installed.  The only change was an update today which says that it was just an update to the flash player security.

  I uninstalled and reinstalled twice, checked to make sure that my private network settings were OK, all to nothing done.  I need it to scan documents.

  There is a problem with the last Windows security update.  It disables some flash programs, including the HP Solutions Center uses to load.

  Here's a solution:

  Enter "View installed updates" in the search bar of Windows.  It will show you an option in Control Panel.

  Click the appropriate option.

  Select the "Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB3132372)" and an uninstall option will appear next to the drop-down list to organize.

  Click on uninstall and work through all the guests.

  Once uninstalled, the HP Solution Center will work.

  I was contacted at last by the advanced support tech, unfortunately, he wanted me to reformat my hard drive and reinstall windows XP, which was not an option. Instead, I got creative - uninstalled "Solution Center"through the control panel and all HP, including HP Photosmart 2.0 software. Put the cd in and sailed to uninstall (rt click on the disc in the cd drive and open, search for folder util, open. find the ccc folder and open, uninstallers are listed as "uninstall_L1, 2, 3, 4") used level 1, then 2, then 3, then 4 programs uninstall and rebooted. Then, I downloaded the HP Photosmart 3.5 software and installed by itself, as the prior installation would not allow the scanner to connect (TWAIN error absent). Then downloaded the package "Solution Center" and the software for a C6280 and installed, although it would not recognize the C4280, I continued with the installation by checking I would connect later. I unplugged the PRINTER from the power from the USB and restarted. After restarting, connected to the PRINTER and then the USB, windows recognized as new hardware, let the Wizard do its thing until he asked for the CD, put the old CD in the drive and let it copy the files he wanted, then came and asked to install a HP screen, I chose "custom" fist and then next sceen asked for auto or advanced , has chosen peak and let it go from there (most of the programs in the list showed already "installed").   I read your post on printing problems you encountered on your Mac running 10.6 and your Officejet 6700. I have some ideas in mind to start and I would like to know the results and we will take it from there.

  Update the firmware of the printer: get the latest Firmware and updates

  Be able to reset the printer and make sure the printer is plugged directly into the wall, avoiding bars power and surge protectors. This ensures that the printer is full on and can help greatly.

  Press the power button to turn the product on.
  With the product, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
  Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  Wait at least 15 seconds.
  Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
  Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.
  If the product does not light by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

  Make a few copy then and tell me if the copies suspend, cancel, do not work, etc.
