HP ThinPro: ThinPro 64bits

Is there a version any ThinPro 64 bits for all versions of HP Thin Clients? My question is because Chrome has dropped his support for 32-bit systems.

With the ThinUpdate tool, you can create a USB Flash key an independent unit of the prior version. Other options would be with the easy built-in ThinPro update of HP, HP Device Manager, etc..

I managed to navigate to the file/usr/sbin/but when I run the command hpdmagent I get a "error while loading shared libraries: libdmerrhandle.so: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory".

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the Linux command prompt, etc so do not know how to get the log for you.

I'll try to reinstall ThinPro 5 on the device to see if that helps.

  • ThinPro with VMware View USB Redirection

    Hi all:

I'm trying to configure my workstation (t620 ThinPro 5.1 running) to start required services necessary for USB with VMware View forwarding at startup.  I tried to add the command to /etc/rc.local and created my own init.d script, but none of these options automatically launch services.  Run manually /etc/rc.local and the custom init.d script launches the services successfully.

Has someone managed to get the necessary USB redirection services running at the start?  Any guidance is appreciated.

    Thank you.

Solved my problem... changed under USB Manager Remote Protocol of VMware View.  Updated this setting caused VMware services to run at startup.

  • ThinPro 5 double screen

    Hi all

I have a problem that extends to a second monitor screen.

I have a t620 with two displays connected via DisplayPort (DisplayPort on Client) and DisplayPort on monitor.

Both screens are detected and ThinPro is 'cloned' on both screens.

Then I changed the settings to extend the screen to not clone. After cllicking 'Apply' and make an opening of session and closing session, I always screen cloned instead of a scope.

Check the settings after a reboot I recognized that my changes have been stored in the system, so it's not on the persistent/last-born disks.

I also checked the settings in the regeditor. Everything seems fine but I still have two screens, showing the same.

Do you have any input on that?

    Thanks in advance,

    Daniel

    Hi Dinesh,

    Thank you for your response.

    Unfortunately, that wasn't the question.

Before the test with two or more screens, I changed the graphic driver for radeon (to execute the same image on different Thinclients).

After changing to fglrx, the problem was gone.

    Thanks again,

    Daniel

  • Thin Client t610: ThinPro 5.2 size matters

I have a bunch of 1 GB T610s and 5.2 ThinPro takes a large part of this space.  I found in the new version of a Component Manager app that is supposed to remove unnecessary features.  After removing several features that have been labeled, medium and large size, I applied the component configuration of the and restart the workstation.  Problem is that the size used flash on the screen on that Client has not changed and it shows 883 MB.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Thank you.

    UPDATE:

I used EZ Update to download a new copy of 5.2 and said he did not save the configuration.  After the download, the device showed that Meg used 788.  Went into Manager components, removed 5 or 6 components, of which 3 have been marked as large (more than 50 MB) and applied the Configuration of components, and then I even deleted the snapshot of the factory.  Restarted the TC and the device showed 788 MB used.

I only use PDR on these devices.  Someone has some tips on reducing the size by removing unnecessary applications?

    Thanks again.

Register and then to apply the removal of component? There are two stages and several WARNING message and may require a reboot-auto.

If you used like above, you would see that the free space is released via xTerminal:

Administrator, open xterminal of management tool mode, enter:

    DF - hl

compare the free space between before and after the withdrawal of the components.  It shows the space used / free real.

On information system 1 page, it shows that the value of the free/used space fixed that you have installed the image first.  We can try to push an improvement in the later version.

  • ThinPro Lync of 5 questions

    Hello

We have installed a HP T610 with ThinPro 5 thin client. Now I have problems with Lync on XenApp. Each call to Lync loses audio connection after a few minutes. When I try to watch a video or listen to an mp3 audio works normally. So I don't know if it's the Citrix receiver 13.0.1 for Linux or another element on the thin client. We do not use the lync management pack by the way.

We had no problems with the machines ThinPro 4.6 and the old Citrix receiver for Linux.

Does anyone else have this problem?

    See you soon

  • Disable "Check for updates" at startup, ThinPro 5

On our t620s running ThinPro 5 (T6X50034), every time you start the user is presented with the window "Check for updates", despite having disabled me 'enable automatic update at startup of the system '. Until it is completed or clicked 'Skip' in the lower right, nothing else is responsible, so it is essentially unnecessarily interrupted startup every time. I can't find another way to disable this option. Unchecking the box I mentioned above have absolutely no effect. Thoughts?

Switch to the administrator user, open a terminal window. Regeditor TypeRegeditdans. In the registry, look at the config wiz and auto updated values. Change them if necessary.

  • T510: Thinpro 4.4 to 5.2 upgrade

    Hi guys

I get the following in my HPDM SP5 console error when you try to upgrade a running 4.4 to 5.2 T510

Error code: 14010042, details of the error: write failure of a file.

Once the task has failed, the SLIM is booted ThinPro 5.2, but basically, nothing works, I can not open any window or enter into the setting or switch to Admin Mode.

If I reboot the computer thinclient it stucks at the "Startup ThinPro' after the MESSAGE.

The task of upgrading even worked on about 20 other thin clients.

You think that it is caused by a faulty hard drive? Or should I spend 4.4 to 5.0/5.1 5.2 then

    Thank you

    Hello

It takes at least the TP image to 5.0 update before moving to 5.2.

HPDM use different minilux for ThinPro4.4 Imaging and imaging ThinPro 5.2. We do not support the update directly.

  • How to set the parameters of "Configuration ThinPro" via the HP Device Manager

    Hello

Maybe I'm blind, but how can I set the settings in "Setup ThinPro', accessible from

    ThinPro Control Center-->

    Control Panel-->

    Setup-->

    Configuration ThinPro

through the HP Device Manager? These parameters allows to use a very strict kiosk mode, which we want to deploy. So far I found just to solve this problem through a complete picture, but this isn't a solution for me.

I hope that I have forget something or you have another clue.

    Concerning

Looks like there is no direct way via the HP Device Manager. Now, I manually configure a thin Client and save the registry.xml that I can ride with other devices.

  • HP Thinpro: Can I create a rule task which will not reboot the workstation if the write filter is activated?

I am trying to send a rule HPDM task that synchronizes the system clock to an NTP server every day at a specific time. With Scripture filter off it works fine, but with it enabled system restart to commit the filter. I don't want to restart (I'm fine with the change being lost during the next restart) but I do not see where to put this option. When you send a manual task, I can choose to send little matter the State of the write filter. Is it possible to do this for a rule task?

    Thank you

    Dave

HPDM a global setting (default settings applied to the rule task and manual task) and the task parameter (the one you saw when you sent the job, applied to a manual task only) to work with tasks.

You can find a global setting through tools-> Configuration-> task settings

Please note: once you have changed the global setting, all tasks (include the manual task) will be default use this configuration unless you specify one in each task editor dialog box.

  • 4.5 - sp3/thinpro 4.3.2 HPDM value inventory number hostname?

    Hello

I'm looking to deploy about 1,000 of T610 in my mid-Q1 envinronment next year, and I'm buzzing on the configuration and management.

(By the bug, or design), I noticed that if you set the host name and the picture of the machine, it will return to the default HP$ macaddress.    We rely on the Constitution of the active tag field in bios for a real barcode sticker that is stuck outside the box.  Then we use this number to the brand as a host name.

What I want to know is - what if someone found a way to validate set the host name to the value of tag located in the Bios?  I know that the agent can see the value because it signals in the console HPDM.

I feel I'm missing something vital.

    Thanks for your help!

If the last command in the part of the script for the task of files and the registry looks like this...

    If ["$(hostname-s)"! = "$(dmidecode-s plinthe-atout-tag)"]; then
    / usr/sbin/hpdmmc define the network hostname = "$(dmidecode-s plinthe-atout-tag)";
    FI

    Works fairly well.

  • ThinPro 4.3 - Citrix Receiver 13 - use HPDM to install certificates?

    Hello

I have an existing environment of about 1200 of the T610.  and we are migrating to a new citrix farm.  on customers now receiving light is 12.  I'm moving to Citrix receiver 13 and install new certificates.

Is it possible to install certificates using HPDM?  I tried options command line with "high-cert-mgr", but for some stupid reason, he began as a script of hpdm because he needs an x environment.

I tried to copy them down to the thin client, putting the new cert in the directory/usr/lib/ICAClient/keystore/cacerts and run c_rehash on the directory, but I always get the certificate error.

What I am doing wrong, everybody has it works?

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Best regards, Fred

    I thought about it.

Am I missing something basic?  is there an easier way to do this?

You must copy the certificate to PEM format in 3 locations (with the extension .crt)

    / Writable/usr/lib/icaclient/keystore/cacerts / *. CRT

    Writable/home/user/.freerdp/certs/*. CRT

    / Writable/usr/local/share/ca-certificates / *. CRT

Then, you create a link in/writable/etc/ssl/certs (with the .pem extension) of the cert file located in

    / Writable/usr/local/share/ca-certificates

    Then, you need to run

    / writable/etc/ssl/certs c_rehash

    in a work order.

    complicated to say the least.

Am I missing something basic?  is there an easier way to do this?

  • Tecra R850-520 - noisy fan - no cpu load - Win7 and Win8 64bits

Hello. I got the Tecra R850-520 4 months. from the beginning, I have the same problem - noisy fan but no load cpu (about 2-4%) using win7 and win8 64bits

I tried to change the windows profile to optimize or energy saving. but I still get the fan noise. Set the bios to 3.90. I have re-checked windows 8. and always the pleasure is strong. When no cpu is used.

I think that it is a measure of temperature sensors. When I flip the laptop, and the plates are "we air ', not touched by any material - the fan will slow down in a few minutes.

    Hello

You can set Windows Power plan settings in order to improve the cooling system.

    Changes in the operating system:
--> Power Options control panel--> change the parameters of plan--> change power avancΘs--> TOSHIBA Power Saver Settings--> cooling method

Changes in the Bios (power management):
    Intel Turbo boost Technology

    Changes in the operating system:
TOSHIBA HW Setup--> the CPU frequency mode

    Try this settings:
Plan (Toshiba power save) optimised battery
Technology Intel Turbo Boost (BIOS) - disable
    The CPU always low frequency

From my experience, this should reduce the noise.
