HP Touchsmart 300-1122: video/graphics card

I recently tried to watch videos that are really high quality, and he started the buffering a lot. I was wondering if I could replace the graphics card, AMD Athlon or I can not because it is integrated. If I can, please (if it exists), put a guide on how to replace the video card. In addition, what the video card can be replaced with it.

Waifu-Chan, welcome to the forum.

The computer has an MXM graphics socket (for map of MXM graphics included on some models). MXM mobile video cards are made primarily for OEMs such as HP.  For this reason, they are very hard to find.  Therefore, it is difficult to upgrade of the video.

Resolution is dependent on the video graphics card memory? If that's true then how much resolution a 2 GB card can support? I mean on what map I'll be able to run a game like 'NFS RUN' on a resolution higher, if I have 2 cards with the same specifications but difference is 1 GB and 2 GB, I don't speak of GDDR3 128 bit NVDI GT 440. ?

Resolution is dependent on the GPU, and not on the installed memory. The memory will help the screen refresh more quickly, and video help in smoother race.

    According to the specs here:

    http://www.GeForce.com/hardware/desktop-GPUs/GeForce-gt-440-channel/specifications

You should be able to get a maximum digital resolution of 2560 x 1600 and an analog-resolution 2048 x 1536 (VGA). This assumes of course that your monitor will be very high. The highest card ira is limited by the capabilities of the monitor also.

Thus, the memory card more than video, that you, smooth graphics should work, but it will have no effect on the resolution.

  • Dual display (x 2)-l' one is PINK/PURPLE in color, how can I check for errors of video/graphics card?

I'm trying to implement 2 screens (extended desktop mode) and when I connect them both, however, I got a picture on two screens, one of them is color purple/pink.

I have swithced monitors around, it's NOT either of the monitors, they bot work very well... and the cablesARE guaranteed in the monitors and computer ports.

What is the video/graphics card which is the problem?... If so, how can I check these errors?

    Thanks to all who respond!

Try changing the cables, if they are of the same type.

I think that the problem is a damaged cable.

  • Sims 3 (win7) and "device 0 cannot run this title, no video graphics card supported not detected."

    Hello

I just got the Sims 3 for Christmas, and I can't get it started.

I just bought a new p7-1126 of hp computer that meets all the reqs as documented on the site of AMD System. (win7 64 bit, 1 TB hd, 6 GB ram, amd quad core 2.4 GHz processor)

This computer has an amd radeon hd 6550d graph with / 3 gb (I think) (which is more than 128 MB recommended)

and the drivers are up to date.

I get the error message "device 0 cannot run this title, no video graphics card supported not detected" and I can't seem to do anything to solve this problem.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Sims3 deluxe/ambitions three times now, with the expansion of ambitions installed so the third time.

I did a lot of other things as suggested in line when I did research but nothing works.

  • TouchSmart 300-1120 video card

    Howdy all!

I recently had my laptop die (which was a disappointment), but I was lucky enough to find a HP 300-1120 which should serve as a good replacement under the machine I keep in my cabin.

Now, HP has a intel Radeon 3200 card in it. But when we learned this machine, we also found a broken HP 300-1060 has, which looks identical, but has a nvidea GeForce g210, which is a much better graphics card with dedicated memory. Can I get out of this machine, which is broken and put it in this one? The breakage of the machine were able to be controlled by card.

    Hello

Yes, you can put the nVidia graphic card in the HP 300-1120. The motherboards in the two computers are the same, so I suggest to remove the processor as well. The processor in the 1060ea is a triple core Athlon X 3 400e which is better than X 2 in the 1120.

Both computers take in charge the onboard graphics, but when a dedicated is installed in the integrated card is disabled.

  • Update of HP TouchSmart 520-1040 a graphic card

    Hi all

I was wondering if I could update the graphics card from ati 5570 2 GB in my all-in-one.

The computer can not play a lot

    HP Touchsmart has 520-1040
    AMD A8 3800 APU with Radeon HD Graphics 4 (CPUs) - 2, 4 GHz
    Graphics ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5570 2 GB 1920 x 1080
    2 TB hard drive
    8 GB ram

If so, what are my options when I want decent game cards?

    @xlChief,

HP has just returned to me on that yesterday.

I'll paraphrase what I was told. Unfortunately, it is not the best news.

HP does not recommend adding a card MXM 3.0 to the AIO PC not come with one, because the thermal module is not offered for sale separately. If you install a video module without a thermal module, you may fry the card.

HP recommends replacing the original card rather than add one where it is not already present.

I find this advice to VisionTek... their customer service told me to make sure the motherboard is working with this...

This card will work?  and are there other boards out there that would work too?

    Thank you...

Lets start over which is an antique with limited options because he has only PCI slots and not normal video card.  He has the card, you ask about "high definition 3D Performance & quality of the Image on your PC" If you plan to get one, try the EBay marketplace because it's really old hardware and you can get one for almost nothing.  For example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Visiontek-Radeon-X1300-Graphics-Card-256MB-128bit-900106-/191175474229

Just make sure one ordered is the PCI version.

  • HP Touchsmart 610-1180qd - update graphics card?

    It's customizable PC I: TouchSmart 610-1180qd

Hello! I'm not a noob when it comes to computers, in fact: I am an expert technician. I know this question has been asked a million times, but I could not find a current thread for my model. I've never worked with before all-in-one desktop computer. I know that they are more closely related to laptops rather than desktops and that they will use mobile graphics because of this cards. I love this new PC, it has everything the most of what HP has to offer me for this model, except the graphics card. At the point where they did not offer me a good Nvidia 2 GB graphics card so I went with the 2 GB ATI Radeon HD 5570, who was the best at the time, and I'm not a fan of Radeon. I look at the list of maps they offer now, and they are all much better that what I initially offered me a month earlier, when I was building my PC. My card is still not listed as an option more! I'm a little upset. My current card is down the performance of my computer. Everything else is the killer. I experience lag on some games that shouldn't be known with high graphics settings! This thing has a processor 3,4 GHz with the addition of power up to 3.8 GHz and 16 GB of DDR3 RAM! No reason for any kind of lag, it... This is the graphic card... He is lame, I didn't in my PC at all, but I had to.

Currently, the best maps that they offer right now for my PC model starting from 09/06/2011 is:

2 GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 425M

2 GB, Radeon HD 6550 has

I prefer Nvidia card much more because I want to play Final Fantasy 14 online. They are specific to the Nvidia cards only. In addition, I always preferred Nvidia at the expense of others and am not loving this Radeon HD 5570 much or not at all.

My question is: can I order a cards online that is currently listed for the configuration of my computer and then just install it on mine? The site says nothing about the integrated graphics card, so there should be a chance, I can update. This is the same exact computer, but they seem to change the list of graphics cards every few weeks. I don't know how to go on the opening of this computer to check. Any help would be appreciated. I love this computer to death but this lame Radeon graphics card is lower to paralyze it's game performace. I should be able to play all the latest games on the high graphics with little or no problems. This PC is a beast in all, buuuuut... I hate this graphics card which is currently in so much! I paid around $2 k for this PC AIO, and his graphic part is killing me for the high end games.

Or... What other graphics cards that I would be able to put in it? Those registered are not really as high engine.

    Thank you!

You'd be better off looking at all the previous discussions on this topic, is not easy to replace cards because they are portable format MXM cards and the HP BIOS is picky about which cards and GPU BIOS revisions he loves.

In general, the notice was not worth the time, energy, cost and frustration to replace.

  • Upgrading the video graphics card - HPE-180 t

I need to upgrade the video card in my HP Elite HPE-180 t. My PC came with ATI Radeon HD 5450 graphics card and the standard power 460 watt. I intend to switch to NVIDIA GTX 650 it, model 2 GB. I do a lot of editing video and need a video card that has "cuda" processors on the video card.

My questions are this card with my work computer at will (1) and will (2) I also need to update the power? If food needs to be replaced what brand and size of power supply should I buy?

Most GTX 650 it require a 450 Watt or greater power supply with PCIe auxiliary power connector. You may or may not need to provide a new power. Please review the Corair CX500, CX500M, CX600, or CX600M your power supply needs.

  • HP Pavilion p6623w video Graphics Card Question.

With the HP Pavilion p6623w, it has an integrated ATI graphics built in. I recently bought a Zotac GeForce gtx 550 ti AMP! Video card and I wanted to install it in the HP System. Unfortunately since I installed it, I had many problems to make same ot games starts. Star Wars: The Old Republic opens the menu and when I click on 'play' it black screens and closed auto itself. The same question comes with League of legends and any demo that I download.

I've updated the drivers as well as other updates that I did to my PC and still no luck, so I'm stuck. I guess it could be my integrated video card?

I can't seem to find a way to disable and exactly how would I have done that?

Please and thanks for the help!

Here are the specifications of your HP p6623w desktop and here are the specs of the ZOTAC GeForce® GTX 550 AMP Ti ! Edition graphics card, you are having problems with. According to the specifications of your computer, your system came with a 250 watt power supply. According to the specifications of the Zotac GTX 550 Ti, it requires a minimum system + 400 watts of power. Unless you have installed a new more powerful PSU, this card will try to draw more power than the PSU will provide.

With regard to the integrated... video card BIOS automatically disables it when it detects a card into the PCIe x 16 slot.

  • Pavilion dv7-4080us: upgrade or replacement for dv7 4080us video graphics card

I want to know if I can upgrade the memory of my HP dv7-4080us graphics card. He did an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 1 GB of DDR3 memory with up to 3738 MB total dedicated memory graphics card. What this means? I can put more memory or repalce the card? If so, what card should or can I get?

There is no 'card' you might be imagining. The video is one of the dishes chips soldered to the motherboard. You already have the best video system available for dv7-4000 series of laptops, so there is no way upward to something better.

  • Dell PowerEdge T110 II add on the video graphics card that works

    The system configuration:
    Dell PowerEdge T110 II
    BIOS 2.8.0
    RAM 2x8GB

For many reasons (for example feeding bus PCI), it is difficult to install a Dell PowerEdge T110 II graphics card.  The ATI Radeon HD 5450 is a good choice for the Dell PowerEdge T110 II because if its (approximately 10W) low energy consumption.

After trying several HD 5450 (listed below), a graphics card that works is a "VisionTek Radeon HD 5450 - graphics card - Radeon HD 5450 - 2 GB memory DDR3 - PCI Express 2.1 x 16'.

Edit: Thanks to paikat for the following references, (see his assignment for the links, where to buy)...
    VisionTek manufacturer: 900356
    Reference Dell: A6173020

This card works when the monitor is connected to the VGA/D-SUB/DB15 connector. I wasn't looking to connect to HDMI or DVI connectors.

After you install this graphics card, passed the BIOS Setup:
Integrated Devices > integrated video controller: enabled

    by saying:
Integrated Devices > integrated video controller: Standard

and allowed to move from "Standard" to "Distributed" so it now says:
Integrated Devices > integrated video controller: distributed

Note: Install the card with the monitor connected to the integrated video port / edge, change the BIOS to Distributed settings, restart the computer and then connect the monitor to the Discrete / distributed / video port to Add on.

I have read this thread and seen the suggestion of VisionTek, it also works with the card mother E3-1230V2?

My guess is the Dell PowerEdge T110 II uses the same motherboard for various configurations of CPU, but this is only a guess.

    SR2002
Also, are there better options eventually with the support of 12 DDR5 and directx?

None that I know, but I've only tried a few cards. Please let us know if you find cards better than the VisionTek 900356

    SR2002
I saw a thread suggesting ASUS GTX650-E-2GD5, someone at - he of the inputs on this card?

I tried a GeForce GT 610 2 GB and it did not work.  Check the use of the GTX650-E-2GD5 (DPT) power and make sure that it is less than 25 watts (see below)

    Quick notes:

    1. the location of PCIe x 16 is actually a "full-size x 8 slot" (also known as an x 16 slot / x 8) and the video card needs to work in this type of accommodation.

    2. video card power (TDP) is a limiting factor. Technical guide Dell says "the system supports a maximum power of 25 W for all four cards PCIe.»  and said Dell owner's manual "ATTENTION: to ensure correct cooling, not more than two cards of four extension may have more than 15 W power consumption (maximum 25 W each), not to mention the integrated storage controller card."

3 install the card with the monitor connected to the integrated video port / edge, change the built-in BIOS devices > on-board video controller 'Activated' / 'Standard' to 'Distributed', restart the computer and then connect the monitor to the Discrete / distributed / video port to Add on.

  • Confused on what video graphics card is installed on the pc of the tis.

I have a Dell Inspiron portable A14 5520 and yesterday found a camcorder Sony DCR TRV-350, which seemed completely lost, instead of hiding behind something on a shelf to head over. And yet it works, charged the battery, filmed a bit and he read to watch. I had never tried connecting this Sony to my Dell Inspiron, so I tried last night and FAILED COMPLETELY. I used to connect to my old Dell to the Sony pc, using a Firewire cable. I had no problem at all, but my current Dell has no firewire port to connect to. well, I can do it by USB, which was not difficult physically connected, but then, I learned why it appeared on my Dell, is because my OS is Windows 7, and Windows 7 does not recognize the Sony as being connected by USB cable. Large. I looked I could in what has my Dell, and in addition to usb, ethernet port, it also has an HDMI connector and a VGA connector. The VGA has 3 rows of 5 each, so 15 small plugin spots of pins. But looking in get a VGA adapter, I found there are many kinds available, and this isn't an area that I never treated. I have contacted Hauppauge and they advise their PVR2 HD would work connecting to my port HDMA and the streaming of the Sony through it. Very well. Oh, the price is about $175.00 for the HD PVR2, and it's a bit steep for me. I contacted Sony Forum and asked this question, asking what it advice could get connected, and in the meantime, what would be my answer on the type of graphics card I install, in case that I had to add something to my pc, I need to know if she would be recognized? I then FAILED to find, just what the Dell card installed in it, or how to find what it is. Any tips or help there? Thank you.

I'm doing that's answer to the problem I listed here. During the night, I got a response from Sony, and the man was very nice and helpful and the first thing it says is that the Sony's USB connection and my PC will ONLY WORK, if my OS is XP. This camera model does not work via USB, to any other OS. Then he said, if I had no Firewire or A / V port on my PC, then I would need to get a digital set-top video editing, and it would be more easy has / V OUT of the camcorder, connect the Video Converter cable I buy that plug into a USB port, and it would be set to broadcast. There are many choices out there, and he said that Sony cannot suggest that one is the best, or which one to buy, so just research and pick one to buy. Of course, using a set upward as he said, does not require another USB driver, in order to avoid too much is. As I said, it was very nice, and I appreciate pointing me in the right direction. Paul

  • Can I add a discreet video/graphics card to my XPSz (L421X) 14ultrabook

So I bought XPS 14z without discrete graphics card. I don't buy it for game purposes but for a small light photo editing. I t a 4GBof ram with Intel HD4000 chip, I know that an upgrade of ram will help. But what I want to know, can I add a discreet graphics card >

I wonder if I should just cut my losses and sell it. I bought it used.

There is no way to add a video to the system card - you will need to replace the motherboard (which includes also replace the CPU, since it is part of the motherboard as it is the video chip).
