  I am trying to help a friend who's HP TouchSmart 520-1030 hard disk is dead.  I have the HP support site, fill out forms to buy 5 DVD System Recovery Disk Set Kit for this system. He even asked for my credit card information. Only after that I entered all this information, the system told me that the recovery kit was no longer available for this system. I tried to download a Windows 7 from Microsoft, but because the key of Windows 7 has been an OEM key, they told me I'd get from HP. I called HP support and they said that they could not get the kit. I asked them if I bought a new copy of Windows 7, the drivers would be available at HP. The phone technology said he didn't know. I asked him if he could tell me how I could know, he says 'No, good night' and hung up. I was not rude or anything. Very professional, in my opinion. In any case, I'm stuck.   I understand that you are having problems with your Tablet 10 Omni gel on the login screen.

  It seems that the touch screen is not responding. Try to use the built in recovery by pressing the button + Volume and the Power button at the same time to turn on the tablet. This you should get a blue screen which you can navigate and perform a system restore. Recovering the system will return the tablet to its original factory condition.

  Recently updated for Windows 10 and since then had to install several new drivers.  Last attempt is for the sd card reader driver.  Same error comes back constantly, "HP is experiencing difficulties, please try again later".  Day 3 same error.  I talked to my son-in-law who is a COMPUTER expert and he warns of the use of other than original manufacturers drivers, so I'm stuck, zusammenklappbar to transfer my photos from sd card on my computer.   When I called HP support, I am told that they can help for a one time fee $50, something I'm not willing to do, I'll buy another computer before going this route
