HP with drive Sd Vista stopped working

My SD card reader stopped working. Whenever I try to use a message informs you that I need to format the drive f until I can use it. This drive was working fine until now. I tried two different cards with the same results. Model name Product number KJ389AA-ABA SR5433WM

Generation of software Microsoft Windows Vista - Edition 82NAv3PrA1 Home Premium (x 32)

Glenmorebuckman, welcome to the forum.

Have you tried formatting one of the cards to see if that solved the problem?  It may be worth a try.

  • Driver Installation module stopped working and was closed

Hi, can someone help with this error.

I am trying to install different drivers, but I get this problem "driver installation module stopped working and was closed" and as such, I can not install any drivers...

Is there a round work or a solution to this?

    See you soon

    Hello
    • What drivers are you trying to install?
    • What were the changes made before the problem occurred?

I suggest you try to put your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

  • Driver nvlddmkm has stopped working

    Hello people,

I'm having a problem with my Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit and my video card drivers. Lets start with the specifications of the system:

AMD Phenom Quad 2.3 ghz processor
    Corsair XMS 2, 2gig 800 mhz dual channel DDR2 (x 4)
    Card mother XFX 750 a
    Ultra X 3 modular PSU, 1000watts
    GPU GTX280 XFX in SLI (x 2)
Map the auzentech X - Fi Prelude

I've been running this PC in single GPU mode with only a GTX280 since January 2009. I didn't notice if yes or no result by adding the secondary GTX280 in May 2009, but the pilots were fault quite often lately and cause more problems than ever. I tried two cards individually, and they both seem to be functional. I've been on nvidia driver 185.85 when this problem started, and I am now under pilot 186.18.

Here are the symptoms. Whenever I go back to my PC and remove the screen saver, I see an error message waiting for me in the form of a warning (bottom right of the taskbar) bubble warning me that the driver nvlddmkm has stopped working and successfully recovered. I also had a problem from my games once, each of them was riddled with snow/static on the screen, only heavy gaming GPU of course. This problem has been temporarily fixed by rebooting windows, but I also had snow on the screen while trying to watch a movie with Cyberlink PowerDVD 9, in a separate incident. Crysis has had the strange shadows in the graphic durning gameplay, but I tried to play again at a later date with no problems.

After all that frustration, I tried reinstalling the drivers but was hit with a blue screen of death during the uninstall process. I tried to uninstall again, nothing serious has happened, so I reinstalled the driver nvidia 185.85. I always have the same messages on my task bar afterwards. Shortly after, nvidia has released their 186.18 driver which I installed it. I am always the same question, and this time I tried to play Far Cry 2 and the PC crashed after a few minutes. I played the game for over an hour before without incident, this problem seems quite random and inconsistent.

I visited several forums online nothing helps. No one there seems to know the solution to this problem. Some of these forums are older than 2 years. Are microsoft and nividia both ignoring us? What is a single Vista problem?

I've spent thousands of my hard earned money to build this dream PC and this little problem of driver throws all my efforts and money in the trash. I am frustrated beyond belief. Please help me.

    Senvae,
This is a common problem, and more often the cause are associated with heat.  If you run a lot of power in a case with a single case fan, it is very possible that you have problems with heat.  Even though your graphics cards have their own heat sinks, you must still more air on this kind of material.  I'm sure that your motherboard supports temperature and voltage monitoring so you should be able to install a utility, if you don't have one already, that warns you when the temp or voltage gets beyond the normal limits.  Try to run with the case open to allow for more air flow and / or try to run with only one graphics card.  Both ways would reduce the build-up of heat inside the case.  There could be other causes, but the heat is a very common cause of this error.  Other than that, uninstall and reinstall the drivers, by disabling hardware acceleration, running with a barrette of RAM and disabling Aero Vista theme were all fixes for this error, if it depends on each system.

  • Display driver igfx has stopped working and recovered

While playing the sims 3 the screen goes usually black then back to the game. then it goes black again and the game will continue once again, the screen is much darker. the darkness of the screen comes and goes and seems to pass the game of light to dark. Sometimes my computer just hangs. After I quit the game, a message appears saying: "display driver igfx has stopped working and recovered." What should I do to stop these pranks of the screen?

    Floop51,
Take a look at this post: what to post in the forum games and then give us the details of your system and the operating system.   Given that this error is indicating your graphics card you can uninstall\reinstall the most recent driver.  Then clean restart your system and test.  Check the specifications of your video against the requirements of the game card.  If your card is at the very least, you may need to lower the resolution of the game.

  • My DVD/CD drive has suddenly stopped working under Windows 7

Ive been using Windows 7 for about 6 months now with on any trouble until recently my DVD drive has suddenly stopped working. Windows detects the drive but when I double click on it in my computer it says please insert disc. I find the drive in Device Manager and windows recognises that there is an error that says:

Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

I tried to uninstall the drivers in Manager device and rebooted the computer to let auto windows find the driver and reinstall it but to start, I get a message that says:

    Device not installed driver software

I know that the drive is fine because it works fine in Ubuntu Linux system he worked great in windows 7, so stopped. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Go to the Web site of the factory, download the driver appropriate for your device. Uninstall the driver that is currently installed and uninstall the device in Device Manager. Reboot... After you restart, you have 1 of 2 options depending on how the software is packed from the manufacturing. (A) put an end to the automatic Windows installation feature and use the downloaded software to take care of it for you... If that's how it is set up to operate or (b) wait for windows to auto-trouvez and try to install the device, and when he asked the pilots to open and extract files downloaded to any location you choose and point the installer of windows in this direction.

  • Windows 7 problems with gel applications, programs stop working until you restart

Windows 7 is a stupid IDEA! . Since then, I have installed windows 7 64-bit on my 64-bit machine. I had problems. Programs to decide that they will not open until I restart. IE and Firefox both freeze when all Web sites are trying to load a video. Also other programs will just stop working and turn off while they don't reopen until I restart again. I installed 7 as an upgrade not a clean install, I'm not sure how to go about backup up files for that. I'm also extremely ready to roll back to Vista, I have not had ANY problems with him. I am also about to throw my laptop through a wall with windows 7 and microsoft. Thank you for another piece of trash! (and headaches). With all that money, you would think they can actually DO SOMETHING RIGHT!. I have now lost $120 on garbage, might as well use windows 7 CD as a Brawler of ice this winter.

    PS everyone has ideas?

    TechBuff48

Rants are part of the dealing with technology. As long as they are against the technical and personal equipment no technical, I think we've all been there. Ironically, two days after my message praising Win7, I had a spontaneous reboot that seems to be associated with a known issue with the sensitivity of kernel-power. I was able to reproduce twice, so I think I have a work around until the bug is addressed.

OK, back on topic. If you have a version to the retail/TMC, you should be able to perform a clean installation with the option to format the drive; then, the fun of reloading everything from scratch and to restore from a backup. I'm not promoting a particular site, but this one

    http://www.winsupersite.com/Win7/clean_install_upgrade_media.asp
    or
    http://community.winsupersite.com/blogs/Paul/archive/2009/10/23/clean-install-Windows-7-with-upgrade-media-the-answer.aspx
    or
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/31402-clean-install-upgrade-Windows-7-version.html
    or
    http://answers.Yahoo.com/question/index?QID=20091022164612AAAJ4kM

There are also other tools available to start from a CD or a DVD and then format the drive in NTFS, reinstall it from scratch. But you must have a DVD very convenient for loading eligible upgrade then Win 7.

    Good luck!

  • Driver.exe has stopped working when you try to play Driver.San Francisco.

I get the message DRIVER. EXE. Haven't STOPPED WORKING, when I try to play the game, Driver.San Francisco on my computer. Windows 7

    Hello

    1. what game do you play?

    2. have you made any changes to the computer?

    3. this problem occurs only with the particular game?

    4. What is the exact error message you received?

    Method 1:

I suggest you perform the clean boot and check.

Place the computer in a clean boot state, then check if it helps. You can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

  • Installation service Windows Vista stop working

I'm running a Dell XPS ONE 2010 with Vista Home Premium SP2 2009.  About two years ago, I noticed that Windows Installer has stop working and I could not install Microsoft programs or uninstall most programs, was able to load 3rd programs like Turbotax, but could not uninstall them.  I bought a Microsoft Expression Web software and had to pay MS $100 to load.  MS uninstalled Office 2007, cleaned Windows, install Expression Web and reinstalled Office 2007.  When Ms. Load Expression Web, they advised me to use Revo Uninstaller which may be required to work. because the normal MS uninstaller does not work I can not install any MS programs like the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor or other software from Ms.  When installed MS Expression Web, they said that they could not fix the failure of the installer without a custom reinstall of Vista, I chose not to.  Strangely, the MS Windows updates work fine.

In the last three months, I have read and tried all of the suggestions of MS to fix this problem without success.  The installation failure message is "the Windows Installer Service could not be accessed.  This can occur if Windows Installer is not correctly installed... »

Now I want to install new software to create a web site, but it will not be installed.  I bought the Windows 7 Upgrade Home Premium package but it fails with the message of my computer is not compatible with Windows 7.  I suspect that the upgrade fails because the installation Service fails.
I don't want to do a custom installation of Windows 7 because of the work required to reinstall all my software.
Any recommendations for restoring the installation Service will be appreciated, if this isn't the right forum for this problem, please let me know.
Thank you, Bruce in a magical forest.

    Hello

    1. have you made changes on the computer recently?

    2. when exactly you get the error message?

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: Put the computer in a clean boot state, then check if that helps you.

Note: once you have completed troubleshooting, perform the steps in the step 7: to reset the computer as usual.

Method2: Chell event logs and post back details
See: What are the information contained in the logs of the event (Event Viewer)?
