• Advice from workflow to adjust/cropping/export of photos that have already been worked on?

  I need to go through about 20 000 photos, choose and flag somewhere around 100-150 photos, make adjustments, crop at 16 x 9 for display on a big TV and export as .jpg. A lot of pictures that I will select will already have been adjusted/cropped for other formats, sizes and printing.

  Before you begin this process, that I expect an idea, or possible workflow tips that I'm not aware that can make your job easier now and in the future if I need to re - export some of these pictures to print instead of TV. I've never used before collections and do not understand, this is something that could be useful for what I do? What happens if something can do to make your job easier?

  You can also create virtual copies in Lightroom, so the previous changes/cultures remain in place, and you make new changes on the virtual copy. In fact, I recommend this approach.

  To do this, you can select a photo, go to the develop module, and then click Reset to the original edited and uneducated photo, press Ctrl + apostrophe (apostrophe-Cmd on a Mac) to make the virtual copy, go back to the original edition and select the last State published in the history of return the photo to its editing State / cropped.

I noted that these 165 photos is not found in LR in navigation in their original as the disk file hard (do not know if this is normal once pictures is added to a collection). I tried to synchronize the file on the hard disk in the browser, but it shows no pictures to move. I don't remember how I put the first photos in this collection originally but now wonder if I've set up wrong in the first place, but I can't spend a some of them out of this collection file without this poop place "all selected files are missing. No file cannot be moved. I have watched many videos and read lots and lots of tutorials and nothing has solved this dilemma. I can't solve this problem on mine, any help would be appreciated!

  In the LR library, go to the files Panel and find the right folder with thumbnails. Then right-click (Ctrl-click) on the name of the folder and choose "Update folder location"

  Navigate to the folder on your hard drive or external hard drive, and then choose the folder where the pictures are stored.

  LR should automatically update the links to the catalog.

  Selection of several photos at once enter "9" to reject all still works them for me in Aperture 3.6 on El Capitan.

  Have you tested, if the problem occurs only in an Aperture library or libraries opening?

  Create a new Aperture library to test and see rejection, so it works.

  If it does not work in a new library either, I got trash Aperture preferences.

  In preferences file is now in the container folder in the user's library.

  Try this:

  • Leave the opening runs.
  • Then open your user library and delete the folder complete ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Aperture/
  • and the ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Aperture.plist file

  Your user library can still be hidden. To reveal the hidden user library:

  • Bring the Finder to the front by clicking on the desktop or the Finder icon in the Dock.
  • Select your folder user/home (with the House icon in the side bar of the Finder)
  • With this window in the Finder in the front window, press the ⌘J key combination to bring up the display options.
  • In the view options panel allow you to "show the library folder. That will make your visible user library folder in your folder.
  • Open your folder, then the library folder, then the containers.
  • Move the entire folder ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Aperture on your desktop. Move the entire folder, not just the content.
  • Delete ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Aperture.plist as well.

  Now, restart the Mac, start Aperture and try see your book.  If all goes well, delete the folder on the desktop.

  Can anyone offer some advice?  I'm sure I'm neglecting to use a useful feature of LR, or more likely there is something strange on my workflow that I must correct.

  Normally I import pictures from my card reader, copy it to a local hard disk.  I do not immediately delete pictures from the card.  I leave them for a while for several reasons, including temporary backup and eventually remove the card when I need to reclaim the space.

  In the meantime, holder processing photos in LR, I tend to remove the total breakage as they are a waste of space (I mean on the photos of the total disaster, for example when I accidentally hit the shutter button with the lens pointed at my foot).

  What are the other reasons? If only for backup, you should... or could do "import backups" instead.

  Don't need even a dedicated for this player, you can use a folder on one of your internal hard drives. Once you sorted out photos, archive photos, make your permanent backup... backup of import can be trashed.

  The basic workflow is:

  1. Import a copy of 'secondary '.
  2. Visually confirm that the files are copied well.
  3. Format the card.
  4. Sort your photos.
  5. Photos of archive.
  6. Delete the backup of importation.

  In the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button > Options > account settings > Copies and folders.
  Uncheck "place a copy in the"sent"folder.

  Looks like your problem is with Photos not iMovie. You can see your photos in the photos app? Using iCloud photo library? If yes then maybe you need to wait for iCloud Sync photos to your Mac.

  This is a bug widely reported with iMovie versions 8 or 9 ('09 or 11) under El Capitan.  Only iMovie 10.1.1 works 100% on El Capitan.

  It is possible that you clicked the 'Block Images' item in the context menu by attempting to save an image.
  Check the image exceptions: Tools > Options > content: Load Images: Exceptions - see the web content, pop-ups, fonts and language settings

  A way to see what images are blocked is to click on the favicon (Site ID icon) on the left side of the address bar.
  Click on the "More information" button opens the Security tab of the "Page Info" window (also accessible via "tools > Page Info").
  Go to the tab Media of this "Page Info" window.
  Select the first image and scroll though the list with the arrow pointing downwards.
  If an image in the list is grayed out and there is a check mark in the box "block Images of..." and remove this mark to unlock the images from this area.
