HP Z book 15 disable the Touchpad

My touchpad is driving me crazy. Where I hole my hand while typing constantly makes the text jump to other areas and I find myself typing 2 paragraphs. Like the computer laptop but ready to throw on this ebcause I can't get anything done. It is said to top left to put off... well mine doesn't do that double tap. I typed this thing everyway possible and I never saw a light come on. All the help sections say go to Synaptics... but my computer does not this tab. I just got the computer so you would think that he would later. Is it possible to disable the touchpad? !!! Yet once... go to devices does not work... There is no tab "Synaptics"... There is nothing that says touchpad... I just want that he disabled forever... Please help before this thing becomes an anchor point and I will buy a Mac!

The same drivers works on windows 7 as well. Please try to install the same and check. Thank you.

    Hello stillrivers,

I see you are having a problem with the touchpad does not disable. Did you by chance a look at the post which explains how to disable the touchpad?

If you do not have by chance I'll re-post the answer here:

    To do this...

    Go to the control panel.

    ·         Go to mouse properties windows and click on device settings

    ·         Highlight the Synaptic Touchpad and click settings

    ·         In the properties of Synaptic Touchpad Windows on the left and the Panel you will see Touchpad Disable Zone, click it.

    ·         Uncheck the box 'double-tap to activate or disable the Touchpad'

    ·         Click OK

If this does not work by chance, let me know. Also, if you have any questions please ask me.

  • How to disable the touchpad on my Tecra M10 - 10H?

I just want to know if it is possible to disable the touchpad and is so, how, please?

What I tried (which did not work):

    1. by pressing Fn + F9.

    2. go to "Mouse properties" and looking for an option to disable the touchpad it.

After reading your ad, I must say that we don't know anything about your laptop.
What operating system do you use?
FN keys work or not in general?
Is the driver for the touchpad that is installed or not?

In my opinion, you must visit the download page of Toshiba on http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp and install driver touchpad and additional package from Toshiba. After making this check please if FN + F9 works. If this isn't the case, you should be able to disable touchpad in the mouse properties. After installation of the Synaptics driver new additional tab will be added to the device settings, and you will find option toggle.

  • Tecra M9 Win7 x 64 driver required to disable the touchpad

    Hello

I installed Windows 7 x 64 on my Toshiba Tecra and everything works great so far. But I have trouble with my touchpad.

The touchpad works, the problem is, I want to put out of service. I only work with the stick and the touchpad causes an arrow of jumping mouse; with the tap function to click very often large sections of text are deleted.

Under Vista 32, I was able to disable the touchpad. Und Win 7 that I miss this feature. I tried several things; e.g. installation of drivers more portable Toshiba or from synaptics page or, Alternatively, drivers for keyboards-Alps. But nothing works.

The laptop is a Tecra M9 PTMB0E; the PCI ID of the touchpad is PNP0F13

    Thank you

    Hello

The Alps Electric to another Toshiba laptop touchpad driver should work because the touchpad is the same.
So Don t understand why you are not able to install the driver for the touchpad.

Usually the touchpad can be disabled using FN + F9 function.
To get the functionality of the FN button that you need to install VAP and Flash memory card Support utility. I chose two other series of satellites (L500) applications.

    Try this.

  • Try to disable the touchpad on my Satellite M115

When I try to disable the touchpad on my M115 and go to Device Manager and click on the mouse, a screen will appear that says: "cannot connect to the Points of Synaptics driver.

What's going on and how do I disable the touchpad?

    Hello

You do not need to disable the touchpad in Device Manager.
Either you use the combination of keys FN Fn + F9 to turn off the touchpad or you will do this in Control Panel.

You can find the option in the control panel-> mouse-> last tab (device settings)
It you should check the options such as properties or settings I'm not quite sure how it would be called in your case m

Dragon fur... Yes, I "should" have been able to find the settings, but could not. Looked everywhere I know to look at including the Device Manager before I posted. It was also a concern for me.  and did not know the name of the file. Gettin ' old. First learned about personal computers in 78 in the age of the dinosaurs and have used them since then. not good for good programming. just good to use and problem solving.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your help! I was able to fix it by downloading the driver... then joy! joy! joy!

  • Qosmio F50 - 10 M: how to disable the touchpad?

    Hello guys,.

usually, I use a led USB mouse to use Win7. When writing text, I often get in contact with the touchpad of the unwanted.

Like I can't identify the device in the hardware Manager, I'm not able to disable the touchpad when using the mouse.
There are a lot of HID (Human Interface Devices) without a unique identifier.

How can I disable the touchpad or is there a way to disable automatically by plugging the USB mouse?

Thank you very much for your help!

    Yours,

Automatically disabling is not known to me, but you can disable the touchpad by using the FN + F9 key combination.
You can use the FN feature?

Does anyone know how this can be done?
I do not necessarily want to disable it completely, and I don't want to have to think whenever I start typing!

  • Satellite A305-S6829 I would like to disable the touchpad

I recently updated my laptop A305-S6829 of Windows Vista to Windows 7. I use a laptop mouse and I want to disable the touchpad.

Unfortunately, the touchpad does not appear on my device manager and FN + F9 does not work either.

    Please help me. Thank you.

    Hello

First of all; It is a model of laptop series Toshiba us.
Usually, it takes use drivers from this page:
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/home.jsp

But it seems that Win 7 drivers are not published on this page for Satellite A305-S6829
That's why I think that you could choose the page European driver of Toshiba touchpad drivers. Here you can choose the A305 or A300 series.
I think you could also choose other touchpad Win 7 drivers to the most recent series of laptop.
Please install the drivers for the touchpad and check if the FN + F9 key would work.

Note! If no FN key doesn't work, you need to install VAP (value added package) and Support of Flash Card Utility
