HP zr2740w turns off after a few seconds

I had a HP zr2740w for 5 months now works fine. But then I had a disc crasch and had to reinstall everything.

The monitor is correctly copied to windows and the resolution 2560 x 1440 (recommended). Everything works very well for a few seconds then it stops. (no light in the led). If I click the power button on front it sources fixed blue lights and work for a few more seconds before that the led turns off (not orange).

I installed all the latest drivers.

graphics Nvidia GeForce GTX 560Ti 4 GB card.  Driver 9.18.13.697 (October 2, 2012)

Monitor HP ZR2740w IPS Driver 1.0.0.0 (March 23, 2011)

So the problem is not related to the cable (use the green to dual link dvi cable).

I am running windows 7 ultimate 64-bit.

Credits to HP support. They came and replaced the monitor within 24 hours. Now everything works perfectly.

The monitor of my laptop A50 has this morning began to be empty. The monitor works for about 3 or 4 seconds after you start / change the screens (with Fn + F5 or Ctrl + Alt + F3) but then goes off completely new. I am currently using an external monitor that works exactly as it should.

It started to take place after the restart of the hibernation mode overnight.

I rebotted the machine, I have re-installed the driver monitor, or which has had no effect.

Any ideas? -I prefer not to have to take it for repair because the monitor is obviously able to operate and the guarantee of lack at the end of last month.

  • Satellite A60-712 - turn off after 2-3 seconds

    Hello everyone.

I am trying to fix this Satellite A60-712; He came to me without feeder, but I found a compatible and it seems to work: CC in LED lights up and the battery starts to charge.

My problem is that this starts Mobile for awhile, radiator begins to turn, all the lights are normally, but, all of a sudden everything turns off after 2-3 seconds. I have observed that this machine has only one slot of free RAM and noted that it has integrated the module memory motherboard; that would be the problem? Or another reason?

    Could someone help me?
    Thank you.

    Hello

    > it came to me without feeder, but I found a compatible
Can you please test it with a Toshiba original AC/DC adapter? The same thing is happening?

If the laptop has already integrated memory motherboard there is no problem. Alternatively, you can use the laptop without additional RAM module.

In the worst cases, you need professional help of an authorized service provider. :(

    Hi Waseem,

Dust accumulation is not in the fans themselves, but in the space between the fans and the CPU radiator, where it is trapped by the matrix of cooling.

The technique of using a hose of vacuum cleaner against the fan grids is designed to suck the dust outside in front of the fans without having to dismantle the radiator.

Obviously, you have just as much suction as possible in order to remove any dust, it is therefore important to isolate grids of aspiration air with a cloth.

    Hey,.

Have you already tried to clean the fan? Maybe a lot of dust blocking the fan for laptop can start t, and then turns off itself due to a higher temperature. It would be interesting to try to clean it.

But in my opinion, you've done everything you can do, and it looks like a malfunction of the motherboard. If cleaning using fan doesn t I think the motherboard is faulty or something else. If you are familiar with the disassembly of the laptop, you can try to fix it yourself with second hand parts. Otherwise it s time for a new laptop I think

  • AL1716 screen turns black after a few seconds. If I turn the monitor power off & on again, it works - 2s

The monitor worked fine for a few years, so is no longer under warranty. I was about to throw.

Then the monitor I bought to replace, was damaged on the way to the group practice site.

Now, I hope to fix the Acer monitor.

When the computer starts, and a new screen loads, the monitor it shows for a few seconds. Once the computer on the desktop, if I turn off the monitor and turn it back on, it displays the desktop perfectly for a few seconds.

The monitor I replaced it with also works very well with the computer. He collided with another device, when the car in front of me stops suddenly and there is a piece missing from the screen in the lower left corner. It looks like modern art in the lower part with some of them white and black and a few vertical lines and horizontal lines. I can continue to use it, since what I need lies in the upper part of the screen. I learned the keyboard command to shut down the computer. The windows key, followed by the right arrow, followed by the Enter key.

I watched a few videos for repair of monitor on Youtube.

It seems that the capacitors are the typical element which spoils first.

So I guess I'll break the front off the monitor and see if the card has the capacitors top of the pop up. I can use capacitors with the same intensity of micro-Farouk and the voltage equal or better than the other monitor.

I've recently learned step secret beginning of successful welding.

You must have a clean tip.

When you clean the tip of the soldering iron, it should have the appearance of copper. If weld does not stick to the point, it is not clean enough. I used a wet sandpaper dry and scoured it. They are sold with a protective coating that must be removed. If it is not removed it clogging the tip.

  • The display turns off after a few minutes and shows 'No Signal'

Hey guys, I was faced with a weird problem recently. My desktop monitor turns off by itself after a few minutes, but the works of CPU, I can hear the fan running and see the lights blink. One thing I noticed, is that when the screen turns off, the light Orange on the processor rest on which flashes normally just. My PC works normally on the mode without failure, but worse, safe mode, but I can't work on my software CorelDRAW. This may be the problem of SMPS? because recently, my entries of mouse and keyboard did not work due to which I got a USB keyboard and a mouse. I recently installed Windows 7 64 bit, but I think that shouldn't cause the problem since I have worked with Windows 64-bit before on the same machine.

    PC configuration-

    Intel Core 2 Duo 4500 @ 2.20 Ghz processor
    ASUS P5QPL-AM motherboard
    3 GB RAM
No (not sure, maybe integrated) graphics card
    1 TB harddrive

PS - I couldn't find an exact category for my problem.

    Hey Archer
Currently, I formatted my Windows 7 and installed Windows 8 and am these problems persist. I have not upgraded but formatted my C drive and installed a fresh new copy of windows 8... so I thnk it may be a problem of the SMP. Can he?

    Hi sunny

It can or mentioned being SMPS... the reason is... you have already said that the computer or the monitor works fine in safe mode! But since his past even when you install Windows 8,
    To make troubleshooting a
    1. go to the Bios and reset all default by selecting the optimum setting in the bios... Given that your motherboard has got characteristic overclocking and selection of the IGD... let him get by default...  Start the computer and check if the monitor turns off always.
    2. If step 1 does not solve your problem... then go to the power option in the control panel and select your power setting of the high-performance system where you can set your monitor to never go to sleep.  See what's happening... If the monitor still going to sleep even after this setting... then you have a problem with drivers or the motherboard... try updating the drivers and see if that helps.
    3. If the update of drivers did not help... so the next option is to review your material... try to get a replacement screen and see if this could solve this problem... A things you can deduct that if this also fails, then the obvious reason is that your monitor is ok... and problem must be the motherboard.
    4. Firstly check the display port... does it feel loose?
    a. do you have this port pins come out?
    b. your motherboard has two power connections (EATXPWR 24-pin and a 4-pin ATX 12V... are both connected?
    c. your SMP should be at least 400W according to recommendations from the manufacturer to you. Check this box...
    d. then ofcourcse obviously... Reinstall the Rams and other external devices.
Follow these steps and let me know your comments for each

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/other-desktop-PC-questions/HP-Pavilion-HPE-H9-1120t-Phoenix-PC-suddenly...

Announcing this computer from July 2012 and not even a hiccup.  4 days, the computer suddenly began turn power off. It doesn't stop, it turns off, the plug was pulled. When I reboot I get the message of abnormal termination of Windows.   There is no warning at all.  No message as the computer is overheating.  He comes to occur when the computer is idle without programs will open.

When it stops, the power supply unit light goes out for a minute then comes back on the 'green' and the computer can be restarted.

I unplugged the power cord and relugged and it seems fine.

The computer is aware of the updates of Windows and can be stopped normally.

I removed the cover and clean the dust and confirmed all fans are running properly.  I left the lid off the coast, and the computer stops again.

I must add that when the computer is started 'cold' it runs about 15 minutes.  If you restart after it just closed, you have maybe 3-5 minutes of use.

Why did you think it was overheating.

    Any ideas?  Thank you.

  • New Sansa Clip + turns off after a few minutes of play audiobook...

    Hello

I was wondering if someone could help me.  Have been enjoying my new Sansa Clip + for the past two weeks.  Just been using the function of radio - finally understood how to load an audio cd on the drive.  The drive is recognized on my computer, and audio tracks are in the player very well.  When I start the audio book, the player will stop after about three minutes of play.  I need to do a soft reset before it turns on again.  This happens whenever I try to read the audio book.  I have not loaded all of the songs on the player at the moment and I was wondering if this problem was something I got wrong, or if I was just a faulty drive.  This is my first mp3 player, so I'm new to this. :-)  The radio and the pre-loaded songs work fine.  I contacted the customer service, but have had no response.  Thought I would try the forum before you give them a call.

    I hope someone can help,

    El

You must use a ripping software and extract the mp3 or wma files. The Clip + probably does not even support .wav files.

  • Computer Toshiba laptop turns off after 3 seconds

I can't understand what is happening with my computer, but I hope that this information will help you. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

There are 3 computers involved. One is a Toshiba laptop Satellite L300D Vista I had in December 2008 and the other two are Toshiba Satellite M110 XP portable computers that we got in December 2006 I think.

The problem started with the Vista. It stops just one day and when I tried to turn it back on, it would show the Toshiba screen for a few seconds and then die. He was the life of the battery. Tried everything, could not, so I have restored the default computer. After it's on, I loaded my music in my external hard drive and a few days later, he crashed again. I restored it again and load my music back in, and then a few days later, he crashed again. Now when I try to restore it, it does not accept the restore disc. The hard drive flashes orange several times and the disc not spin fast enough to start doing anything.

I decided to forget the vista computer, I had a year and a half... And started using my xp computer is a few years old. I've ONLY used to browse Craigslist (after I started using it instead of my Vista computer for a few days, after that the Vista) and not load any music in there. This computer has worked since then, but about a week after the death of my vista, my xp now has the same problem. It turns on for a while and then turns off immediately. Since they are the two Toshibas, they can use the same chargers so I would use the charger that comes with the vista or another, that I got off eBay a few years ago. Been using two wires forever and then everything suddenly this question not sure that it of a problem with the power or not, but one thing I noticed was my vista computer would make a rattling noise from inside the computer only when has been plugged in the charger from eBay, and I noticed my xp making the same sound as that connected with the charger from eBay just before you die too.

My brother also has a toshiba satellite m110 xp laptop, and we tried a few things with the vista computer to try to make it work. A site offered to take the RAM and try to turn it on. Nothing that's happened. We took the ram from my brothers computer which works very well and put it in the vista. Nothing happened. We took the hard drive from her computer and put it in the vista and the computer DID start up (which was great cause I've not seen on in about a month) but it started up to a blue screen. Put us the hard drive in my brothers xp and the computer was working fine... For a few hours. Now the computer will not start correctly and we are trying to restore his computer but couldn't find the restore disc. Her hard drive was in my computer literally 15 seconds and his computer is now toast.

I don't care about my laptop toshiba satellite m110 xp, but I want a solution for my toshiba laptop satellite L300D vista, and I also want to get my brothers running again because I ruined. I don't know much about computers, but my guess is that there is nothing wrong with the ram or hard drives, but something else in my vista computer that is ruining the hard drives. That still doesn't explain why my XP computer is turn off after a few seconds suddenly well. The only thing that the Vista and my XP have in common, is that they used the same power cords (which always worked fine)

If anyone can help me out or point me in the right direction, which
would be AMAZING! Thank you very much for your time

If you have problems with the Toshiba recovery media, you will need to contact Toshiba.

    It's the Toshiba recovery process.

Each manufacturer has their own particular recovery process.

And as it is now failing to do recovery required, they would be the best people to contact about this.

  • Stor.E access point stops working after a few seconds

Bought a Stor.E wireless adapter and followed the instructions but after turn on the unit by connecting to USB power usage provides cables, access point WIFI disconnects after 4 or around seconds.
    1. I connect to usb power
    2. the indicator flashes in green and stays on
    3. wireless light turns green and stay on, turns off after a few seconds

Managed to connect using the mobile app several times, while its sequel, but given that the WIFI point disconnects, can't use it.

    Any thoughts?

    1. I connect to usb power

Stor.e wireless adapter must be connected to the power supply and the other end to the external HARD drive.

Then, you can use the application to access the wireless content.

  • Satellite M100-165 cannot stop - turns on automatically after a few seconds

    Hello!

I have the problem of identical or very similar to those described in the threads:
    Link: [http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=15325]
    Link: [http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=109125]

When I try to turn off my Satellite M100-165 ("shut down" in Windows or even by pressing the power button while I'm in BIOS) it lights up after a few seconds. It lights when it runs on batteries. She also doesn't appear when I press the button for 4 seconds.

I tried to recover the system with the recovery CD (Windows XP Home). I also tried with Windows Vista. Always the same.

In fact I have BIOS version 2.90 (updated from version 1.90, as far as I remember) but with an earlier version, the problem exists also.
I think when I got the version of the BIOS before 1.90 this problem did not exist (but I don't remember this version number).

    Thank you for any suggestions.

    Hello

It's a very unusual question and, for me, there is not just some explanation. It will be interesting to know what Toshiba experts say on this subject. Make a call and let us know what they say.

The strange is that the same thing will happen with two different operating systems. I can't say for sure why this happens, but your laptop is a bit confusing and of course change the shutdown with restart. If it is result of BIOS update service people should know about it.
