hp7520 disable wireless or hide the SSID

Hello.

I have a HP Photosmart 7520.

It works fine except my client does not want the ssid broadcast in the doctor's office.

It is already password protected, but he dislikes the ssid 'disorder' in the air.

I would like to disable Wi - Fi to the printer or at least hide the ssid broadcast.

Is this possible?

Thank you.

Go to the printer and turn off wireless Direct.  Quite.  This assuming the printer is connected to the router.

    Hello

I tried to hide my SSID by allowing emissions the SSID of the first, and then the other band.

Once I have say-activated the SSID broadcast of the last band my laptop, which has the wireless card, would lose connection to the internet on reboot.

I read somewhere, but now can't find the article, you can hide those SSID, but it requires some work to connect to a network that is more diffuse.

Someone has knowledge on how to go about this, or maybe they could point me to a resource that explains how to set this up... thanks.

  • Hide the SSID 1832i

Hello, I have the Cisco Aironet 1832i (series 1830) model.

I would like to know how many non-broadcast of the SSID of the wlan 2 I created (the main and the SSID quest)

Please let me know the commands I have to configure SSH, as the Cisco operating system is different from the other type of Aironets.

    Hello

Must be identical to that if you can access it via the CLI (Telnet/SSH):

    https://supportforums.Cisco.com/discussion/12947811/Cisco-Aironet-1830-disable-SSID-broadcast

The CLI is available, the following command:

config ssid broadcast disable wlan where wlan id is the number of your wlan. If in doubt, do a show wlan summary which should give you this info, I hope.

  • WiFi does not connect if the SSID is not broadcast.

I've updated to Sierra this afternoon. Everything seemed fine after the update. After dinner, my MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inches, beginning 2013) would not connect to Wifi. I reduced to a few things.

It wouldn't connect the 5 GHz n If the SSID has been hidden. If I admitted the SSID to shown, it would connect without problems. It would connect to the 2 GHz band, even with the hidden SSID.

I did the typical SMC reset and reset the NVRAM. I deleted the files related wifi and restarted the router and the MBP. I'm obviously on now and the speed seems normal with no dropouts. I can't hide the SSID now and will continue to work until he's asleep; No dice after that without reactivation SSID broadcast.

    Any thoughts?

    See you soon,.

  • Show or hide the buttons of the model using JavaScript

Can someone tell me to know to disable, show and hide the buttons of the model using JavaScript? In my case, I use AJAX for validation and the validation failed, I want to deprive the person's ability to submit the form. I did successfully using the HTML buttons but they seem ugly and do not correspond to the theme of the application. I really want to do using the model based buttons. Anyone know the answer to that?

    You can find that here:

    http://Apex.Oracle.com/pls/OTN/f?p=31517:143

The only problem you have to solve is to assign an id to each template button. Rather than use an id string coded hard = "buttonHide1" as in my example, you could use id = "" #LABEL # "If there are a lot of different buttons you need to display / hide on a single page." However, at the same time make sure that the processes are also conditional and follow the logic. To hide a button, this isn't a guarantee that a process can not be executed.

  • How can I change the SSID on my wireless printer. He has my old router ID.

    HP Photosmart Plus B 209

    Windows Vista 64-bit

SSID was not found (I put it manually)

I select the printer and then he said: "(imprimante sélectionnée n'est pas présent, connectez l'imprimante & réessayer)"

Several times, I get the same message.

But my printer will work hooked up to the USB key.

My old router (Netgear) leaves so I bought a new.  Everything worked fine before.  Installed a new and my computer (HP laptop) worked well, went to use the printer... Finally uninstalled and installed, but would never go farthur than the above.  I don't know what to try more except that I printed the wireless network Test report and he tells me that the printer cannot find the wireless router.  I noticed that the SSID has the old name.   Also print the Page of Network Configuration of HP and see that he concluded l network, which is the new.  So, where can I change printer SSID?  I can't find where I can change it.

    Thank you

Hi Sumit and thanks for posting.

Your Athreos has never connected? If it has connected then it not only connects it to insecure networks? Also after can trying to connect you do the following?

Start, run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:

    Type the following command:

    IPCONFIG/ALL

[Note that there is no space between the oblique and ALL bar].

Right click in the command window and choose Select all, and then press ENTER.
Paste the results in a message here.

I hope this helps. After the back if you have any questions.

  • WIFI disabled on windows vista and cannot wireless connect to the net

WIFI disabled on windows vista and cannot wireless connect to the net, but bluetooth wireless Wi - Fi and fine switch is activated. Have a problem with ISATAP #5 who is incapable of solving that can be bound.

All of a sudden I lost my internet connection wireless and I am unable to return.  May be because recent windows update.  Error messages on the wireless assistant say WLAN offshore or disabled.  I have tried every fix.

In device Manager (under network adapters) shows also that MS ISATAP disabled with "Windows cannot load driver (Code 31).  When I try to update the driver, "Best driver already installed" appears.

Is there a way to FIX?

Read the above re ignore this error message.

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/laptop > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.

  • How can I change the SSID for my C4780 printer can find my wireless phone?

I changed routers and got a new SSID.  Now I can't change it so the printer can find it.

The best way to do this on a Mac would be to uninstall the printer completely and reinstall it with the CD or downloaded at HP software.

Make sure you start by unplugging the USB cable.

During installation, you can choose the option network and connect the USB cable when prompted.  Follow the prompts and it should get reconnected to the network.

Here is a document from HP that details how to install this printer on a network.

There may be other ways, but the lack of a configuration wizard wireless (due to the feature of the screen), makes the limited options.

  • Help: wet610n will not connect to wrt610n when the ssid broadcast is disabled

I have a wet610n wirteless bridge linking very well with my router wrt610n broadcast ssid is enabled on the router, but when I turn it off then (the rest unchanged), the wet610n can not connect.

    What I am doing wrong?

Or require the wet610n ssid will be broadcast (I didn't read that anywhere)?

    Thank you

I have power cycled it, but I tried again and then experienced little more after you reset the wet610n and reconfiguring again.

What seems to work, is to allow the broadcast of the SSID of the router and leaving the wet610n bridge wireless connection. So I can turn off the broadcast of the SSID and power cycle the wet610n and it can then connect.

Without the first activation of SSID and connected, the bridge connects wireless.

Thank you - it is "resolved".
