HP7610 Scan to email on Mac w/OSX 10.9.2

I'm trying to scan a document using my Mac on the HP 7610.

When I select "Scan to e-mail" the HP utility, a command "Scan to E-Mail" prompt comes up with a 'Start Scan to E-mail Setup' box to select.  When I do that, I need to connect to a HP Web to my HP 7610 page.

On the Analysis tab, there is a section called "Scan to E-Mail", with four headings void beneath him... Scan to Email Setup, profiles of messaging, address book, and Options by email.  No the case in all these isn't all guest to "Start scan" as it is on the same page under "Scan to Computer".

Please provide a solution on how can I scan a document to send by e-mail.

Hello TSteh,

I understand you are trying to scan to email using your HP Officejet 7610 but can't seem to get the scan to start. The steps you made were correct so far, when gives you the choice to choose between these four options, you have to select the Out going e-mail profiles. This will allow you enter specific information from your e-mail account in the printers memory.

This document from HP: how Scan: from the control panel will guide you through what you have already done and you show how to run the last remaining steps.

Thank you

  • j6450 scan to email with mac 10.7.2. Too big to send e-mail. How can I make it smaller?

In addition, scan shows each page in the annex.  How can I put all ten pages in one attachment.  Printer scanned just fine on my old PC.

Sorry, you still have problems with this software.

Your comment "I scanned for Outlook email it." confused me because it is not a direct link between the HP scanning and the prospects that it would facilitate.  Maybe I made a mistaken assumption that you use the HP Scan 3 software that comes from HP for use on Lion.  Please ensure that you have downloaded and installed the latest version of the Lion-compatible with HP software for your product.

I'm not sure what you consider "too big", but I would be very surprised that 75 dpi scans would produce files that you, or Outlook, would consider excessive (seems to me that the software ignored the 75 dpi setting).  The fact that you checked the option for several pages in a single file and always found with files PDF separated for each page is also suspect.  This looks more to me there is a gap between where you set these values and how you start scanning.

For the version of HP Scan that I assume you are using, the scanning settings are made in the application Preferences dialog box (HP Scan > Preferences).  If you want to use the same settings for later analyses, make sure you save a preset so that you can easily select these settings the next time that you are analyzing.

Your device is also compatible with the Apple's Image Capture scanning application.  Image capture also supports scanning multiple pages of a document feeder in a single PDF file.  You can try this alternative to see if the result is more favourable.

  • can I delete email on mac accounts and retain their remaining icloud?

can I delete email on mac accounts and retain their remaining icloud?

I'm looking forward clean my OSX and I wondered if I delete accounts on mac, along withh records, etc., do I still have access to them in Icloud. (I don't know which way the sync works)

Unless the e-mail accounts are based icloud.  That is to say, they end in @icloud.com, then without removing the Mac not keep them in iCloud because they are not in first place.

You should always be able to access through their respective clients to Web Mail however.

If they are based iCloud.com, then Yes you can remove form Mac and they are accessible via http://icloud.com by logging into each account there.

  • HP Photosmart 5524: scan to email problems

I can not scan to e-mail (or access apps) of the printer itself. "Blue light" wifi is on, and I was able to print by sending documents by e-mail to the printer. Thus, the internet is certainly connected.

I've used the scan to email successfully, but since I changed my internet provider I can't any longer.

I'm working on a Mac OS (10.5.8) which is not supported by this printer (annoying that the Mac is not very old!)

    Any help much appreciated.

    Hello-

Is there a way to solve this problem by removing the web services, reactivating it. This would however, you must obtain a new email address.

You can also try to remove the app (scan to e-mail), and then reinstall it.

Let me know if it works.

    Hello @AllyMcBeal ,

    Welcome to the HP forum.

I understand that you are getting a server connection error when trying to scan to e-mail.

I want to help you with this.

I realize that you have already configured a manual DNS.

There are two things I want to make sure that you have done before resetting the printer.

    1. turn off the printer.

Then unplug power to your router or a minute.

    Wait a minute.

Reconnect the power on the router.

    Turn on the printer.

When the blue light wireless on the printer stops flashing, try scanning to e-mail.

    2. remove web services.

Tap the ePrint icon in the upper left corner of the screen.

go to settings, select Remove web services.

If you have customized the address printers ePrint, you will lose the address.

There is unfortunately no way to retrieve e-mail. He'll be gone for good.

After removing the web services, you will be sent to the main screen.

Press again the ePrint and enable web services.

When print information sheet, go to scanning to e-mail.

You will need to set it up again like you did the first time.

Also, if you are familiar with your router, check the following settings.

    -Multicast must be enabled
    -Hello activated * for Airprint
    -Mac filtering should be disabled
-Also, make sure that your router has an update of the current firmware if
    necessary

Ports to open are: * Eprint and Apps

    (Inbound) UDP ports
    80
    443

    (Outbound) TCP ports
    5222
    5223

Finally, I sent you the reset via private message. Please ensure that the above elements have been done or scrutiny before resetting the printer.  Please read this post from Bob_Headrick, regarding the reset of the printer.

    Hi latifa.

I understand that you have some problems using scanning to E-mail with the Photosmart 7520. She seems to have the installer without problem, but it indicates that you do not have access to Web Services.

Try the procedure described here: Re: problems scanning Photosmart 6520. You don't have to worry about the title and mentioned printer, the steps will be the same.

Can't wait to hear if this helped.

  • HP MFP M476dw Pro: How can I set up scan to network on mac Yosemite with M476dw folder

I use a Mac with Yosemite and feels a hell of a time tyring to analyze; they keep saying I need to configure a network folder.  I tried without success.  I even tried to set up scan to email, without success.  PLEASE HELP ME!

    Hello

Apple have implemented the new SMBX 3 Protocol to share a folder of Yosemite.

Follow a method below to update the latest firmware, it is necessary for the printer to connect to a shared folder in Yosemite:

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docid=c03754273&DocLang=en&docLocale=en_US&JumpID=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0001

Then, create a folder and right-click (CTRL + left click) and select get information, check the box next to the shared folder.

Under the section permissions ensure that your user account has read and write.

In System Preferences, select sharing, make sure that file sharing is enabled, and click on Edit / Options button.

Make sure the SMB is enabled and the user is listed and selected, add the user if needed.

Now try to add the printer to the EWS of the printer page (the homepage of the printer can be found by typping the UTL printer in Safari) and under Scan nd of the network folder select Configure the folder using the user account and password.

Set the path as the IP of the computer and the name of the shared folder (for example, \\10.0.0.0\scan).

Please let me know of any problem.

  • How can I scan my email?

    Nice day:

I have a problem in my e-mail address. It seems that I have a virus. My email messages to different recipients containing the virus itself. How can I scan my email

I have a problem in my e-mail address. It seems that I have a virus.

How - what is related? You may have a virus problem, but not necessarily a problem with your email.

My email messages to different recipients containing the virus itself.

    How do you know this?

I would like to you can scan my email.

Who do you mean by 'you '? If you really send messages with some kind of malware attached the damage is already done. The point of all the antivirus software is to prevent that infected files on your computer in the first place get.

If I changed my password, the Web site designer would know the new password or not.

What Web Designer are you talking about? In any case, I hope for you that your provider will not store your password in the clear.

How can I change the password correctly

What password are you talking about?

  • Norton Internet Security can't scan SSL email use. How can I ensure that I don't get a malware or a virus by opening an email in Thunderbird?

Norton Internet Security can't scan SSL email use. How can I ensure that I don't get a malware or a virus by opening an email in Thunderbird? I read that you don't have to click on a link to get malware, but that some e-mail may trigger the malware just by opening and reading. Any suggestions to prevent the outbreak of malware emails? AOL Desktop software has its own built-in email scanner, but I am trying to get away with their software and to rely only on tuberculosis.

    Thank you

There are many aspects to this question.

First of all, by using SSL or TLS to send and receive emails is important because it prevents others from sniffing your login email. Especially if you use a device over wi - fi or on untrusted networks, it is essential, because if others get your email IDs, bad things can happen.

Of course, by using SSL or TLS with your mail server also protects the content of your email being captured by others, so it's good also.

Secondly, you are right that there may be threats to security in E-mail other than the attachments, even if attachments are usually the most dangerous. Your antivirus must protect you against bad attachments as to open them, they must be written to disk in a temporary folder, and your AV software jumps into action whenever a new file is added to the disk. You can also hedge your bets by using a two step approach: first save the attachment to disk and only after she survives the real-time AV scanning and then run it in the appropriate application.

Sometimes the content in the body of the message can trigger a vulnerability in your software e-mail or a plugin. As these known vulnerabilities, Mozilla is updating its software, but there always seems to be new problems discovered and it will never be perfect security. I don't know how useful email Scanner is for this problem.

-Disconnect the Modem from the wall. Wait 30 seconds. Reconnect it.

  • HP 6700 scan to Email

    Hello

HP 6700 there the possibility to scan to an email without a computer such as the HP 8600 Pro?   Thank you.

    David

    No,

Scanning to email option is a unique option for the Officejet Pro and laserjet on some models only.

I'm afraid, it is not available for the 6700 JO, you will need to use your PC or as a solution, you can plug a drive into the key and then analyze directly into it.
