HPE 1170 uk: card Wintv... Where it connects to the motherboard?

I have a hp pavilion 1170 uk Office http://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c03023321

the black cable of the wintv card came loose from the motherboard. It is a 4 pin connector. I can't for the life of me see where it connects to the Board of Directors.

can anyone help?

Yes.  This looks like a USB connector.  Looking at your link, and then on the motherboard page support page - port USB headers are at the bottom of the card mother and labeled F_USB1, F_USB2 or F_USB3.  The "strong" part of the form passes over the location of the empty spindle to align the other four pins to the correct location.

    Hi again aebw,

Thank you for providing your information!

According to the Specifications of the product for your desktop computer, the chassis power cables connect to the motherboard along the extreme low Panel shown in the figure below:

Front connectors can be applied using this schema:

And this is the type of connector represented by the figures above:

    1. keyboard lock

    2. LED message

    3. outdoor cable of SMI

    4. speaker connector

    5. ATX power switch

    6. Drive LED

    7. reset switch

    8. power indicator

You want to make sure that the 'GROUND' chassis connector is plugged #5 and "PWRLED" is plugged #8.

    I hope this helps!

  • Workstation HP Z240 Tower: do not find where to connect them the WIFI adapter, I bought

I bought the HP brand Intel8260 Nr N0S95AA. I don't know where to plug the cable, which has holes for 9-pin.

I can't find any instructions or diagrams of the motherboard or anything else telling me. Help, please!

I thought about it.  Cable requires an internal USB port.  Fortunately, there was one available. In plugging him in there and everyhing works fine.

PS It's a Wifi/Bluetooth combo which is the case there is an extra cable. I believe that the pci card is for Wifi and cable is for Bluetooth.

    Problem solved.

  • cable card failure / Unable to connect to the internet

Pavilion a1600n windows 7 all of a sudden unable to connect to the internet.  Agent at verizon (on computer) home says card wired to computer failed.  Wireless still works on the laptop so is this right?

Hmmm... If the connection is just stopped one day of work or it didn't work after installing or uninstalling something?

I wonder if you do not have a card/port that has stopped working. The good thing is ethernet cards are fairly inexpensive and easy to replace. You could even go wireless and just buy a USB wireless receiver.

Hello, my son has a laptop 17 - 3D want 3000 and the video graphics card went bad or the motherboard unsodered, is this repairable?

Everything is repairable for enough money. The only option is to replace the motherboard. Making may not be not too expensive as long as you have someone who can do the job part free. The laptop is old enough that good job cards mothers may cost $80-125 on the market.

  • Monitor goes into Sleep Mode immediately after the connection to the motherboard

    Hi all

    My problem is like this.

I have a desktop crt monitor. When I give power to it without plugging it into the motherboard, it's showing a message 'no signal' all the time and never goes to sleep mode.

But when I connect it to the motherboard, the monitor goes into sleep mode immediately. When I delete the connection of motherboard once again, it's back mode 'sleep' and saying 'no signal 'again.

Any other monitor works well with this office properly.

This same thing happens when I am trying to connect this monitor to my laptop as an external display device.

    What could be the problem?

    Kind regards

    James

    Hi Ty,.

I suggest that you check the manual of the monitor to check the frequency of the monitor support.

It seems that the monitor is defective because the other monitor works fine.

  • How can I work around a potentiometer that feeds a speed control using a SCC-AO10 module? Which wires I need to cut and where they connect to the SCC-AO10 module?

I'm trying to circumvent a potentiometer that controls a blower DC motor. The potentiometer (10 kohm) has a wire greeen (+ 10V) a blue wire (ground) and a red wire (AI1 0-10 V voltage). These three sons feed a mounted ABB inverter which converts the 3 phases power somehow (220-240V) to a signal for the DC motor in the blower. I want to make a loop of speed control for the speed of the blower in Labview and I have to work around the knob. If I intend to use a PID that is equivalent to a speed measured at the speed setting, how can I get an output signal to my SCC-AO10 to the speed control? Asked me to use a switch that would allow to use potentiometer or the automatic control loop in Labview. Which wires should I cut the potentiometer and where I need to connect them on the SCC-AO10?

Someone did this and the PID of a blower motor? Please help me if you can.

    «The promising (10 kohm) (10 kohm) potentiometer potentiometer has a wire greeen (+ 10V) a blue wire (ground) and a red wire (AI1 0-10 V voltage).» a greeen wire (+ 10V) a blue wire (ground) and a red wire (AI1 0-10 V voltage). »

If you release the + 10V and the ground.

The reader reacts to the voltage input (0 - 10V)

Simply connect this red wire to your analog output module and ground (blue) on the floor of your module.

  • What graphics card do you have used with the motherboard Asus A8AE THE?

I have an old a1210n with a motherboard A8AE THE with a PCIe x 16 slot 1.0.   I would like to know what graphics cards does anyone have successfully run on this motherboard (see list of models of computer below)?  Unfortunately, which should theoretically work often does not work.   I tried a HD 4850, which produced only blurred video, despite reading a slower hd 4830 and 4650 had worked.

This forum and other research made me some operation card names (which are too slow or too expensive, (I'm looking for a pass of about 1000 Mark): 7800 oc x1600xt, 8600gs, hd 6850, gtx 470)  I was surprised/skeptic on the last 2.

    The HD 5770, 5750, 5450, 5870 failed.

  • Unable to connect to the Internet via a Linksys Wireless card

I used a Linksys BEFW11S4 for several years with no problems.  A PC is connected via a network cable and the other (Dell laptop) used a wireless adapter Linksys that plugged into the laptop (model of Linksys WPC11 ver (4).  All my computers using Windows XP with the latest service packs.

I plugged the Dell laptop to the router via a cable to transfer files faster than the network B.  Then, when I disconnected the cable and reconnected the wireless card, I was unable to use the Wi - Fi connection to connect to the internet.  Wired works very well, is not wireless.

Windows reports a good wireless connection to the router, but the machine is unable to connect to the internet using the wireless card.  It can connect to the internet when using a network cable, however.

Pings what either using the Wi - Fi connection failed (expired).

I used another laptop (a more recent Toshiba with a wireless card built-in) to connect to the router and it works very well with the connectivity wired or wireless.  No problem switching back with this machine.  So, the problem is not with the router or the router configuration.

I was through the forums and seen a LOT of people seems to have the same problem with these Wireless Linksys routers.

I tried to use the Easy Link software to configure the machine, but: (1) Linksys updated web site is not valid, and (2) with the www.linksysfix.com/ela site that directs users to the software is also invalid.  Linksys technical support seems to be lacking.

I went to the usual network setup menus and two laptops seem to be configured the same way, again, we're working wireless and we do not.

I would appreciate solutions others have tried and who has worked with this problem.

I reinstalled the drivers for the Linksys card and it does not work.  Windows recognizes the new hardware card, reports that it is connected to the router, but still no internet connection
