HPE-475UK & USB3.0

I'm looking for advise on the viability of the USB3.0 added to my desktop PC.

It's a HPE-475UK - two years.

It seems to be an obvious step due to the benefits of speed and future accessories.

However I seem to be unable to find information that supports (or not) as appropriate.

If USB3.0 can be incorporated in some form - probably a card in a free slot? -Can it work with the existing USB2.0 slots that are spread all around the case

Hello

Your PC came with VISTA originally.  I suggest you upgrade the operating system to Windows 7 or Windows 8.

This PCI-E version 2 x 1 USB3 cardmight work.

Why Windows 7 or Windows 8?  Windows 7 and Windows 8 improved xchi support.

The Intel H57 chipset has a maximum level of 14 USB2 ports.

There is no guarantee that any card PCI-E data will work on your PC and/or interrupt.

  • Replacing hard drive and a RAM and more HPE 475uk

    Hello

I was wondering if you could give me some advice at all?

My hard drive of 4 years HPE-475uk PC deskt starts to become noisy and slow and had errors. Rebooting/resetting the computer and reinstall Windows 7 did not help so I think it's time to present a new. While I'm here, I would like to replace my RAM too.

My computer is a HPE-475uk, Intel i5 Dual Core, Windows 7 64 bit and I have 8 GB or Ram (2x2x2x2). Here is a link to the complete specification / card mother etc. If this can help, or I do not have any sense! http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docid=emr_na-c02622053&DocLang=en&docLocale=en_US&...

Prevented, I'm not that technical and I was out of the loop for so long that I'm not sure what is now compatible with my PC and I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction to correct products!

I would like to replace my current drive HARD SATA 2 1 TB 7200 RPM with the same size (or larger and faster if it is compatible?) but with a large cache. (I am a musician and use a lot of sampled instruments). Can I put a disc of 2 TB SATA 3 right? If I do anything other that install it because it's a more recent material on an old motherboard? (IONA-GL8E)

Also I would get out of my yard MB of RAM PC3-10600 DDR3-1333 (240 pin) and replace it with 16 GB max that my motherboard (4x4x4x4), but not sure what memory is good for my computer. Whenever I go to buy, anyone says it is not compatible or too fast! I'm looking Technology Kingston 4 GB KVR13N9S8/4 1333 MHz DDR3 Non - ECC DIMM Memory Module. Can you tell me if it's ok or point me to one that will not work if?

Thanks a lot for your help! It's much appreciated!

Yes. These modules that you linked to on Amazon should work.

With a single hard drive, you can reduce the C: \ partition and create a separate partition for your work.

  • HPE-475UK: 10 Windows Installer Clean

As thousands - or should I say millions - I was informed that my PC is eligible for the microsoft Windows 10 update.

App W10 conducted its analysis and reports there is no conflict other than Windows Media Center that would be uninstalled.

I am pessimistic and believe all this seamless up to this day, etc. - so I think I will sit this awhile--after all, I've got 12 months.

Assuming I want to move forward to a point I have a few questions haunt me.

    1.

The Hauppauge TV tuner will probably not work. Otherwise, it should be a pretty seamless upgrade of Windows 7.

I did it on an old socket 775 PC with an Intel Cor 2 E8400 processor and it was smooth sailing.

I would add that the old system of target was gaming grade (mobo ASUS CRosshair IV Rampage) with a 120 GB SSD installed as a startup disk. Upgrade your system to a SSD boot is a thing, you might want to.

  • HPE-475uk: upgrading memory

Recently, I have tried video work - strictly business - and for the first time that I saw my PC put to the challenge by the task, I have put.

He installed a 6 GB memory rated bank - I guess, but I'm sure that without dive inside it will be 3 x 2 GB, 3 of the 4 slots available for occupation.

While I am convinced that an update will be interesting, this raises the question how well to do and what are the criteria.

Thi is a unique exercise and instinct told me to go to the maximum capacity (16GB)

However I have read somewhere on the web that despite the capacity 16 GB - installation of more than 8 GB is a waste of time - (I think stupid, it was that the term employee who seems a bit shocking but no matter).

    Can anyone offer an opinion?

Another dilemma - seeking options that I find there are multiples of 4 GB and 8 GB - so using 4 or 2 slots.

Module 8 GB is viable individually or in tandem? As a pair should they be put in correspondence?

If I opt for the 4GB modules can they be added individually or must they be purchased as matched pairs (or quartet.)

A technique more point specifications of memory. confused me as they quote DIMM3 - 1066 & 1333 for the same Dimm module.

I think that my existing modules (3 x 2 GB) are 1033 MHz according to the documentation, but excludes in 1066?

If anyone can provide advice will be much appreciated

    Hello

Below images should clue you and more information because do me not openly.

Your first consideration should be Support HP or HP sales during the consideration of upgrades or replacement of memory. If you want to consider other manufacturers of the best way to avoid memory problems is to contact one of the leading manufacturers of memory. I would recommend that you try the tools of these manufacturers: Corsair, Kingston and Crucial. Once you have determined the DIMMs that you need, then contact commercial or technical support to check that you have selected the correct DIMMS. If you buy directly from manufacturers, then they will stand behind their products.

  • Add USB3.0 or / and eSATA to a HPE-450f

I find that USB 2.0 is very slow.  How can I add a faster interface like USB3.0 or eSTAT to my MPE-450f.  Will be the current

    motherboard support this addition

Hello stbphoto, here is the link for the specifications of your system. It shows that your motherboard supports three PCIe x 1 connectors. I check the system and make sure you have at least one of these slots available.

Here a link to NewEgg where some USB 3.0 PCIe x 1 cards. There are other places. This gives you just an idea of what is available.

I'm sure you already know this, but just in case where you don't do it, in order to use the card addon USB 3.0 with USB 3.0 performance, you will need to have a USB device plugged 3.0 on it. This is backward compatible with USB 2.0

The computer in question is running on Windows OS 8.1 for several months and no other software added recently.

Problem has been resolved.  Because of several power is needed for 3.0 external drives to work, I replaced the power supply HP 400 watts with a power of 750 Watts.  Now, I have all external hard drives of 3.0 and Internet works perfectly.

  • Installation of computer desktop hpe Series USB card

I want to install a USB 2 card in one of my slots for PCI card in my desktop HPE-450f. I also have 2 friends with HPE-400 desktop computers that want to do the same. • HPE-210y motherboard died

    Hello

My card mother HPE-210y died (according to a local technician) barely 2 months after the expiration of my 1 year warranty. * sigh *.

I plan to purchase a replacement motherboard and would like to ask for your comments and suggestions.  I'm going to do the replacement myself to save money.  I used to build my computer six years ago, so I'm a little rusty, but feels able to work.

I buy the ASUS M4A88TD-M USB3 AMD 880 G Motherboard as a replacement.  Don't you think it's a good, or even a better replacement than the original Foxconn Board?  I'll also plug the Radeon HD 5450 graphics card in the new motherboard which is Hybrid CrossfireX ready has a chipset Radeon HD 4250.  With this, I need to improve my diet?  A standard ATX PSU will fit in my case?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

    Hello

The motherboard you have chosen is decent.

    1. I don't see a 1394 firewire port header or a rear port 1394.  Do you need one?
    2. Your HP recovery disks will not work on a very "blessed" motherboard not HP.  You will need a copy of Windows.
    3. Modules of memory DIMM in your current PC might not make the list of suppliers qualified from ASUS (QVL). -unknown
    4. The current power should work.
    5. 5450 video card should work. However, ATI recommends 400 watts Power Board. Do not buy less than a 500 Watt power supply.
    6. No modem port. Do you need one?
    7. Is not taken UEFI bios supported.  This could be useful for hard drives of 3 to and changes in the normal bios.
    8. A standard ATX PSU will fit.  (5.5 in. 5.9 "by 3.4").  Block power SUPPLY Corsair CX 500 is good quality food.

Check with HP to ensure that your PC is not covered by warranty. Check your warranty here status.

If you bought your PC with a credit card, then check with your credit card company and see if your purchase is covered by extended warranty electronic equipment.

  • My HPE h8-1220 has two sata4 and sata5 sata connectors. It has a modular connector.

I just wonder, I had read that the HPE H8-1220 taken supporting up to 6 sata connections. I see two ports on the card mother labeld sata4 and sata5. I "ve never seen that sata connector type is modular and its a 90 degree Angel and impossible to see from the top."

Can I use these ports on this system. I have 1 extreme ssd 240 GB for Windows 7 and an OCZ 120 GB for programs and such. I have the original 2 TB disk for my data and use scripts to point to the data files. Who uses the 4 sata ports, I see.

Anything that works, my question is I want to add a Crucial 128 GB for Linux Mint 12 without having to disconnect the dvd, or add an external usb3 sata cable.

So I guess my question is what type of connector are those on sata 4 and 5, and can I use them?

    Thank you

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion HPE h8-1220 and motherboard Gigabyte M3970AM-HP Angelica. According to specifications, your system has six SATA 3.0 on the motherboard connectors... probably scored 0-5. Standard SATA connectors... just the right angle are two connectors on the edge of the motherboard. And, Yes, you can use them.
