  • Quality of printing on my HP Photosmart C5580 all in one is not very good

    Hello

My parents have a HP Photosmart C5580 all-in-one printer.  Their old computer was running XP and the printer printed beautiful photo (using HP Photo paper).  The recently buy a new computer that is running Windows 7.  They called me after that that they got rid of their old computer XP.

The problem is that the HP C5580 is no longer made a good job of photo printing.   I have been in their house and they owe me that the use of the printer to print then we have printed a new photo to the printer (which was horrible).  I then downloaded the latest drivers for Windows 7 from HP, installed and reprinted the image.

The XP computer disappeared, so I've no idea what program they used to print photos.  I used Picas (latest version) to view and print the pictures on Windows 7.

The new photos are very washed out. They remind me of the photos printed on the ink jet printer initially on plain paper.  They are not photographs.

Anyone have any ideas to improve the quality of the photos?  If it is a better program than Picasa we should use to print the photo?  Is there a way to caliabrate the printer?

    Thank you

    Dennis

Hi Dennis you have posted on the discussion of the ePrint/Mobile Forum so I'll ask that your post moved to the Printing Board Issues & troubleshooting in the hope that you receive relevant responses. In the meantime, I suggest that you check the ink levels in the supplies in the printer and print a diagnostic. You should be able to get it out in the printing software HP you have downloaded or directly from the front panel of the printer. If ink, levels are low in all of the test color cartridges to see if that solves the look "washed out" prints.

    Good luck.

I have a MacBook Pro, OSX 10.9.4. It prints very well on my HP psc 2115 all-in-one in black and white, but not color. I tried to find an update for the driver here, but nothing helps. Is it just that the printer is not compatible with my operating system, or is there something more I need to do?

Try to reset the system as follows:

    * Be aware that reset the printer system will eliminate any existing queue and reset all custom settings driver.

Click on the Apple menu and then click on System Preferences.

  • Photosmart C4580 all-in-One - color print is not true

Regardless of the software application in use, our printer does not print the colors on the screen. We have worked through all the settings and the types of paper and color choices, and nothing seems to make a difference. Tonight I prepared a certificate using PowerPoint and one of the predefined themes - nice blue background prnited on a Brown dirty. Ideas, suggestions, etc.?

    Hello there Hermits2,

I saw your post on the issue of "print quality" you have little matter where you want to print from your Photosmart C4580.

  • HP Deskjet F2280 all-in-one: color print images saved offline problems.

When I print an image that I downloaded from the internet, the colors do not conform to the original (a lot of blue in there).  I printed directly from the printer itself, and that's fine.  I changed the color cartridge, did the cleaning, checked, I had download the correct software and tried to open the image in paint, but still not good.  I changed the setting to fast eco who, although not the bright, the image itself so more true to color.  Can anyone help please.

Hi @anniegwenand welcome to the Forums of HP.

I see that when you print images that you save from the internet, the colors are not what you expect and the printed output is more blue than the original. Because when you print directly form the printer (copy) the output is as expected, I suspect that the issue has to do with the print settings, a driver or a program that you are printing from.

I suggest to use the following steps to remove the printer from the device and printers and the driver from the properties of the server. This will help isolate the driver.

    1. in the folder "devices and printers".

    2. choose "print server properties.

    • Win XP - with no printer selected, click 'File' then 'server properties '.
    • Windows Vista - with no printer selected, press 'Alt' and then click 'file' then 'server properties '.
    • Windows 7/8, 8.1 and 10 -select any printer in the "Devices and printers" folder and click on "Print server properties" above.

    3. click on the "Drivers" tab at the top of the window "properties of the print server.

    4. choose the printer that you want to uninstall, and then click 'remove '.

    5. choose "Remove driver only.

    6. the next screen will give a warning, letting you know that the removal of the driver package will remove it from the system. Click 'Yes' to say are you sure you want to do.

If documents are stuck in the spooler to print, you see an error, cancel all documents waiting in the print queue or try restart the spooler to print, and then try to delete the driver from 'Print server properties' again. If she will not always remove the sachet, restart the computer and the printer should correct this error "in use" and allow the driver to be removed.

Once the driver is then deleted, open start > all programs > HP folder > folder printer > HP Setup and software (or the icon of the printer). The installation screen and the software opens and you can click on connect a new printer.

If the fingerprints still don't match what you see on the screen, try to print in a different program. For example, instead of save an internet image, print the image directly from the browser. In bold, what brings the cause to wonder, when you save, you are printing on photo paper? Have you compared the print quality between an image printed on ordinary paper and a image on photo paper? If you use photo paper, and that's the only time where the output is more blue than expected, please try different photo paper. I know this sounds unlikely, but I seen the book be causing more time than you probably imagine.

Let me know the results of your efforts at this point, and we will proceed if other troubleshooting is necessary. If something I suggested the problem, please click Accept button Solution below to report your post as solved.

Thanks, I look forward to hearing back on your part.

  • C5580 all-in-one disconnects - error on screen numbers a

Computer desktop running XP, all updates installed. Installed printer 2009, ran well until the fall of 2013. Running print and scan of the doctor. All OK is displayed.

When get us the printer running and leave it on standby or turn it off for the night, it will often not be recognized by the computer when it is used again, but sometimes will start up to flashing lights and numbers on the screen (B8159A32) or (B0226500). Often the message say disconnect power and wait 10 seconds before connecting again.

It only connects by USB cable to the computer. Changed the cable and the connected ports to different on the computer. Has made no difference... HELP... dmac948

    Hi dmac948,

I understand that you have a Photosmart C5580 which is giving you a few numbered odd and disconnection errors. I will definitely do my best to help you with this.

Numbered errors that you see are errors of the firmware. They are basically indicating that the brain of your printer is on his way out the door. There is nothing to do with this well because there is no update available for your printer firmware. The only thing I can suggest is to make sure your printer is connected directly to a wall outlet to make sure that the printer has all the power, he needs.

Once arrived at the point where it is not possible to deal with this issue any more, I would say that you call HP Technical Support for your sector and inquire about trade and trade program.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

  • alphanumeric error on c5580 all-in-one.

My photosmart c5580 displays error 00729c 98. The printer will not work.

What does this code mean and how can I solve this problem?

Is there a list of codes digital alpha somewhere?

    Thank you

By checking other messages with the same code in the title, I discovered that it is an error of printing system.

I went to this link http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00551397

I ended up replacing the two ink cartridges.

I had tried to remove a reinstall of both cartridges.

I even had a message that the original color cartridge was not the right cartridge.

    Seems fixed.

  • Print CD C5580 all-in-one

I bought a C5580 for CD printing, but discovered that CD labels creator software bundled with the suite Roxio Media Creator 9 doesn't have this printer as a model of care (they only have Epson printers). Does anyone know of a good label, creation of software (not HP) which supports the C5580 directly? Or can someone tell me if the new version of Roxio Media Creator (creator 2009) is supported by this printer.

I find the HP software to be too limited - I can not move the text as I can on Label Creator.

    Thank you!

Looking at the suggestions on this forum, I tried Sure Thing CD Labeler 5 - you can get a full 15 day trial recommended and the full license is quite reasonable - 25, $00. I printed just successfully on a CD - R with MP3s on it. I think I will buy this software.

Maybe HP can reach agreement on a further reduction in the purchase of a C5580?

  • Msg of error for HP printer C5580 all-in-one

Have had printer for over a year.  Printed, copied and scanned without any problems until 3 weeks ago.  Product B808268C error msg appears.  Followed the instructions in the online forum.  Initially, it appeared that he would solve the problem, but then an another error msg appeared on the screen of the product... BA01866E.  Have uninstalled and reinstalled the software of the 2 X product using the disc that came with the product.  no luck.  Have iMAC with OS X 10.5.  Can't make it work.  Another thing.  The icon "power on" appears on the display of product above the msg of error USB cable to help to connect the printer to the computer.   Can you provide a resolution?  Please advise and thank you.

You get the error code is caused by an error in the firmware of the printer. In this case, it's not much, you can do. The document below the link a few things you can try. If this does not work, you will need to replace the printer.

An alphanumeric Code (example: ' 0 x 'r' C2...) ") displays on the front panel when printing:

  • Is it necessary to have the charge of all-in-One HP C5580 at startup?

    Good evening

    I am a new owner of a HP Photosmart C5580 all-in-One Printer-Scanner-Copier and a smiling too I might add.

Previously, I had a HP Photosmart 1315 printer who served me well until I decided that I would also a scanner and a copier.

However, I always try to find out if there is a way I can access this new Photosmart C5580 manually just at the moment where I want to use it without having to have put it at Windows startup?

My big problem is when I try to scan something and save it to the computer.  I can't do it right now unless I greeted the HP Digital Imaging Monitor start automatically at Windows startup.  Is there a way to get around this?

I'm running Windows XP, SP3, completely up to date with IE7 completely up to date too.

    Thank you and best regards,

    2harts4ever

"... enough Said." Keep smiling because I'm smiling too! »

Yes. I recommend you do as it CAN lead to complications with the connection to the printer if you try to play with it. You can turn on the printer itself AFTER the startup of your PC, but don't mess with the software or the SUN.

You may, however, experience from the DIM manually after starting the PC, or let it start automatically and choose how you want to use it according to the results and behavior. You can always get back to us here for ANY other help.
