  • Mail 10.0 in macOS Sierra not rendered HTML

    Hello

Sierra installation went flawless. Mail that I normally get displayed as HTML does NOT appear in HTML format, and there is not a button load remote content. Previous mail received El Capitan and 9.3 mail always display and work properly in Mail 10.0 (it displays the content "Remote Load" button). I look at the raw source of Amazon and PayPal and the headers mime drive ins are all the same. So far, four sites, that I normally get HTML mail, 10 Mail will NOT be rendered in HTML.

Note: Mail-> Preferences-> "Load remote content in messages" on or off makes no difference.

Anyone else having this problem? It's boring get raw HTML.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Best regards.

This seems to be associated with some mail files. I can take validly rendered HTML of the Inbox and manually move (drag) the file and is no longer makes but appears in raw HTML. Placing the message in the Inbox was still raw and not rendered HTML display. Remove the mailbox and then recreate it makes no difference. I had formerly imported mail before and it associated with maybe 'archived mail"even if these mailboxes are not empty / delete all ~/Library/Mail plist files does nothing to solve the problem.

Who wrote 10 Mail should have enough information to explain this. I have a fix. It's stupid and reconstruction of the mailboxes does nothing to fix.

  • I want to move the bookmarks to a no start Win disk (format jspn) to win 10 PC. The import dialog box wants html, not json format

the motherboard on my old PC to WIn 7 has become damaged. I took the hard e drive: toward a new win 10 PC. I can find the Archives of bookmark on the old disk - files are in json format, but when I try to import the bookmarks file I can only find a way to import them into html format. How do I resolve this condition glare?

If the file is in json format, then it replaces the current file.

To open the bookmark, Manager press the ALT or F10 to rise
    the tool, then select bookmarks.
    Access key is < Control >(Mac = < Command >) < shift > B.

Once the window is open, the top of the page, press the button
Import and backup. Select export bookmarks to HTML and follow
prompts and save it in a HTML file. Copy the file to another computer.
Repeat the above instructions, BUT select Import Bookmarks in HTML,

JSON files. Do as above, but select restore. The file must be in the

  • create an exception in avast for the nsemail.html file in the temp folder

I was pulling out my hair trying to find if there could be anything in the temporary files that I have to keep the last few weeks. Then I came across this: "the release of Avast 10.3.2223 (we think it's this version) has resulted in questions with avasts prevention of Thunderbird.

Matt, thanks. I read your blog post. I need to replace my HD and I've been fretting over if I have to loose important data from the temporary files. Apparently not. When I talked about ccleaner, it was in the generic sense. I avoided ccleaner because I thought it was a big hammer and some data that he brags about getting rid of I really want to continue. I know that I can choose what remains and what is happening, I'll have to give him another look. Once again thank you.

  • How can I edit HTML source in the composition?

I often compose emails that contain bulleted or numbered lists multi-level, images and other elements inserted. Sometimes, Thunderbird fails to go down to the correct list between paragraphs or breaks, or it crashes or removes the part of my message when inserting an image. I found workarounds, but it would be helpful to me if I could see the HTML code and manually change in composition, as I can with the received messages (view > Message Source). I have not yet found a way to do this.
Otherwise, I could compose the message in Dreamweaver and copy it into my e-mail, but I could create some tags that are not supported by Thunderbird.
Please suggest how I can edit the HTML code before sending my message.
    Thank you
    -Richard

A quick way is to select the body of the message (Ctrl-A to select all), then insert/HTML. Alternatively, use an add-on like EditHtml. As you suggest, copy html to an external editor is likely to cause problems.

Our <strong><em>Carmina Burana</em></strong> concert series begins next Friday, at the Campbell United Methodist Church. Rehearsals have been wonderful and great fun! We're really enjoying singing this piece, and are very much looking forward to dress rehearsals next week with soloists, percussionists and the Ragazzi Boy's choir! <br />
    									<br />
It's not often that we perform with as many different kinds of percussion instruments as are called for in <em>Carmina</em>. Since the percussionists are typically in the back of the orchestra, it may not be easy to see what the instruments look like, especially when they are small or unusual. Just in case you are curious, I have included some images of some, at least, of the percussion instruments. Top to bottom down the right side are triangle, raganella (ratchet), glockenspiel, sleigh bells, snare drum, suspended cymbal, castanets, tubular bells, and the last image is xylophone with crotales (antique cymbals) across the top. Our performance will not have an entire orchestra between the audience and the performers, so you will be able to easily see the percussionists and pianists at work, not to mention the soloists.<br />

The instrument list also calls for two pianos and a celeste. The pianos will be two Roland HP605 professional level electronic pianos, lent for this performance by two of our Bass choir members, David Goodman and Kim McCall. We rehearsed with the pianos this week - not only do they have amazing sound but with a flick of a switch they turn into the celeste, or the flute or the horn!<br />

  • receive emails in HTML format

I would like to know if it is possible to receive and read emails in HTML of origin? I get a lot of e-mails in which I see nothing at all. I try to read on-screen view Source to see all of the text at all. So, I have to find links, copy and paste them into Firefox to meet.

If I use the CTRL key to select the problem email and another email at random in my Inbox, I can read sometimes part of the message. Otherwise, I don't know what is in the email. No links work. I'm all for security, but these are important emails and it becomes very awkward not not to be able to read.

I have all the updated accounts to SEND HTML but I can't find any way to receive/read in everything except TEXT ONLY - when I can read them.

    Help someone?

And in the emails from today, any images incorporated appear!

As it turns out a reboot or any later returned to normal two... except that I lost that whole list of emails that had East appeared only in the dense HTML. Some people were important.

I just hope that this does not happen!

  • How to turn off bold/italic/underlined in displayed as plain text HTML mail?

    Hello!

I use Thunderbird on a workplace where HTML mail is fairly regular, but I
prefer to hide all the HTML formatting and display as plain text, which can
be easily done by choosing View > Message body as > plain text, but it seems
to convert the original HTML formatting to this simple text formatting,
which means that surround it in * for "BOLD", _ to highlight, and / for italics, which
I find it embarrassing, because often, it makes the message more difficult to read, for example
inserts many formatting consecutively: "* reason for the software.
"Replacement * decision: *", sometimes inside words and generally done more
harm than good. It also breaks URL, because they are displayed like this:
'_ https://google.com _' and back treated Thunderbird pointed out in
URL, so the links are incorrect.

Can this formatting everything be placed when displaying HTML in plain text?

I wrote the question, I found my answer in register configuration of Thunderbird, but I decided to publish it anyway, as I've found that asking one elsewhere. The solution is to go to Preferences > advanced > Config Editor and the option 'converter.html2txt.structs' set to false.

  • Why Firefox does not insist on downloading yamagata.repo.nii.ac.jp/sakuma_1-171_187.html instead of take me to this page, so I can access PDF files listed there?

When you use Windows 7 Pro and Explorer 11, I used to be able to access the PDF documents in the library of the University of Yamagata, such as those listed in this index. I have since switching to Windows 10 and Firefox, and Yamagata repository interface has changed. Because so many things are different, I struggled to solve the problem: I can't get Firefox to take me to page yamagata.repo.nii.ac.jp/sakuma_1-171_187.html. Because it downloads it instead, I can't have PDFs on this topic.

I have made both https://yamagata.repo.nii.ac.jp and https://repo.lib.yamagata-u.ac.up trusted sites in Windows 10 and in Firefox, though it is unclear to what extent that alters Firefox's behavior. On the other hand, MS Edge also fails. Evidently, something more needs to be done.
Archived messages on line suggest that the problem could be a hang-up when "index.php" is encountered and/or that "html" files are treated differently from "htm" files. Perhaps so: but how does one fix it?

The server sends the header content-disposition: attachment with the file, which triggers the download dialog box. (Screenshot) There is no built-in way to substitute that.

But there is an add-on for that. This extension was already proposed, but in the case where you missed it because its purpose was not explained, here is the link again:
