• How to repair files with broken JPEG ICC profiles (and perhaps other questions)

  I have a set of valuable digital images, they are actually fairly low resolution scans of the prints, but they are invaluable and cannot be re-analysis.

  The images show the following questions and I don't know how to fix:

  (1) in the dialog box import LR, they appear as "Preview not available for this file.

  (2) when I try to import into LR, I get the error "the following files were not imported because they could not be read.

  (3) if I open the file in Photoshop CS5, I get the warning "the embedded ICC profile cannot be used because the embedded ICC profile is not valid. Ignoring the profile' - if I ignore it, PS can open the file but of course, the color profile is missing and the images seem to universally terrible.

  Curiously, however, the images provide an overview in Windows Explorer and if I open them with the infinitely lower Windows Live Photo Gallery, they correctly opens and the colors are properly.

  Which leads me to believe that there is something wrong with these files that Windows is OK with but Adobe is not. Because I don't have the paper prints, cannot perform a new analysis and do not know the workflow of the process not applied, I have absolutely no idea if this happened in time scanning or subsequently.

  HOWEVER, at this time, it surely must be a tool that allows me to package the information Windows can read and put it back in the file where it should be so that Adobe can read the same thing?

  The application of windows Viewer ignores all profiles and treats all files as if they were sRGB.

  Probably you have your Photoshop preferences defaults to a space of a different color than that, so the colors look bad. Try to make default PS in sRGB and open one of these images. If it looks good, you can embed a profile inside sRGB and save it under a new name. If this isn't the case, report and someone should be able to help.

• Mystery - LaunchDaemon reappearance question

  Once from time to time, I check the Console to see how things happen... and it shows a return service every 10 seconds, apparently in the next century. Can someone tell me how to determine which application or process causing this error 'coresymbolicationd '?

  Here are the error messages that are repeated in the Console and a description of what I did to locate the error so far. I'm under El Capitan (OS X 10.11.2) on a MacBook Pro of the retina, 15 inch, mid-2014.

  My diagnostic efforts so far:

  -J' deleted all the user and Cache files with Onyx system. Same messages.

  -J' connected mode without failure.  Same messages.

  -I am logged on as a guest. NO PROBLEM, NO MESSAGE!

  -OK, so the lack of a problem as a guest, I logged in as me and deleted all the elements starting with the exception of Sophos and Microsoft Keyboard (for my ergonomic keyboard long-used). No joy, same messages during restart.

  Whence this error? More generally, how do I find how an error message is related to the current process?

  Did he helps keep me sane (perhaps another question)?

• Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 question

  I've been using the Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 with my laptop Sony VAIO under Vista Home Premium for almost 6 months. A few days earlier, I was transferring a file from my laptop to my phone via bluetooth while the mouse is connected. During this operation, the cursor of the mouse began to move eradically in the branch on which I show the mouse. He was slow and jerky by following my movements. I had noticed this behavior in previous proceedings, all in my phone and pc were in communication via bluetooth. To fix this issue on all other occasions, I would be simply to disable the bluetooth mouse that had completed the transfer and then turn it back on and it will behave as expected. On this occasion I hit by mistake the detectable button on the bottom of the mouse instead of the power switch. The mouse came into discoverable mode, indicated by the alternating flashes red and green battery light, and the cursor no longer responds.   I had the same problem the year last on a Dell XT; Ms sent me a new mouse BT 5000 and still had the issue. I gave up and updates several months later and unknown, the machine worked again. Today, I tried to use it on another laptop and worked well. I went back to my XT and the red LED flashing (detection mode) is back. Now, it will not pair with a PC. I think the problem is with the mouse it self. He becomes confused and stock in a mode that is not really "detectable" or bc no BT device cannot be found. Remove the water for long periods only resets NOT to be. I finally make it work but don't know what not solved the problem but that's what I did: disconnected (off) BT on PC, which is held to discover button mouse while turning power off, battery removed from the mouse. BT on PC has and began to search for devices of BT, replaced batt in mouse and turned on, you press on discover button mouse (PC is always looking for a device), and he appeared! I chose it and the red light stopped flashing and works well.

  Note that I tried everything back several months ago on the different versions of hosts BT running on XP pro with no luck. Now I use Win7 and this procedure was performed on a Win7 OS PC which seems to be more stable. Hope this helps someone. • Animate published CC HTML5 is blurred

  I'm creating an e-Learning interactive HTML5 module. In the pat I used Flash and always had excellent results, but with flash is becoming less and less popular, I decided to use HTML5. The question I have is when I publish my project, the quality is very bad. The images are very fuzzy... very blurry. I import PNG images that looks good when I export them to a file SWF and HTML 5 is horrible. I played with all the settings to publish, changed the properties of the images without loss, but nothing works. What I'm missing here? I can't image that this is acceptable for web developers...   A Mac of retina? HiDPI poster can also be a reason for blurred images. In this case, it is recommended to create a double image and reduce on scene anywhere where you intend to use it.

  Be careful about setting up Quiz preferences to allow free navigation: allow the back navigation, use no branch updated the slides before the test and do not forget to leave the required option set to "Optional".

  I have no idea on the maximum amount of question slides.

• Question of extra white space

  Hi, I am currently building a website in Adobe Muse and really enjoy it.  I met some differences between what I designed and that the site actually looks like and have been able to find solutions to all but one.  The home page has a header and footer, and a cutting-edge Animation Adobe.  However, it was apearing of extra space under the animation (above the page footer). Everything looks fine in design mode, but even in the preview, there is more space.  I tried uploading to our ftp, thinking that perhaps the question (as in the preview mode does not display the animation), but the extra space is still there.  I tried to move social media icons, thinking that they might be at the origin of it.  I looked to see if there may be a blank form or text box that is the origin of the discrepancy, but I can't find anything.  Any suggestions?

  I checked your file and the white space from page that you call in the iframe. I have seen that most browsers do not respond well, when the width and height of the iframe is specified in percent.

  As a solution, give width and height of the iframe manual and that should take care of it.

  For example, try something like 412px, which is the height of the dashboard content

• Videos YouTube in Captivate-published files are now grown on the right side. Resolution?

  I already have the Captivate files eLearning modules and published using SCORM in my LMS. The files were fine. When I saw yesterday all the YouTube embedded files are truncated on the right and have 'dead space' on the left. It's as if they all are moved to the right. I have seen discussions on changes to the YouTube videos with the YouTube result does not. My question is a little different because the videos are present, but cropped. Also, the lower bar is part and I need it for viewers turn on the closed captioning (a large part of my audience is deaf).

  Is there any solutions for this? (Note that I have not access to a video server).

  HI, Mary.  Jump again, site of Captivate said that HTML5 output is no longer supported in Internet Explorer 9 or later, Safari 5.1 or later, and Google Chrome 17 or later.  Although not listed do not, the new Microsoft Edge works very well, too.  I find that older versions of browser are disappearing, but some of the less tech savvy people I work with are still using IE 8, so I suspect that it is perhaps a question based on your description of your target audience. In addition, the HTML5 version works fully in Firefox, the latest version, which is the main reason I publish in swf and html. I have fortunately only publish in html and encourage users to update their browsers, if it wasn't for Firefox problem.

  Of course, knowing this does not solve the problem.

  I guess that there is a question.  Perhaps the question is to know how to fill your PDFs, you received on the iPhone.

  • AirPrint allows to print the forms of the iPhone and sign the papers resulting.

• Site not showing with precision cursor

• Time capsule does not connect to the Internet! Help!

  I bought my own personal modem (surfboard SB6121) and activated with Comcast. I connect to my modem via an Ethernet cable and it works perfectly. But when I connect the modem to time capsule, I can't connect to the internet. I have already restored it and still nothing. The light blinks orange and 2 notification messages I get are no internet connection and no DNS server.

• Podcast has ceased to appear in itunes store

  I am at a loss, I think, of what is happening.  I created a podcast (ppvguys), and he was appearing in the itunes store properly for a good time.  Then he stopped editing in the page of the shop itself.  Those who had subscribed initially always receive new episodes, but new subscribers were not see new.  I started using google followed links to Analytics. • Qosmio G20-114: what are the features of hard drive?

  I just deleted one of my harddrives to my G20 114 so that I can work on my data while my laptop was being repaired.

  My plan was to put in a case of hard drve 2.5 "usb. I was also going to use a spare hard drive 100 GB I need to act as a backup of the operating system drive.

  However, it seems that the arrangemnt pins on the drive, I removed from my Qosmio is different from what I'm used to and it does not seem to hold in the external box. I guess also for this reason that the spare drive I used to fit into the Qosmio. I guess I must be missing something as this may not be the case here. They use some sort of different player in these machines or have I forgot something obvious?

  AFAIK the Qosmio G20 was delivered with S - ATA drives.
  The HARD drive is fixed by 4 screws on the HARD drive carrier.
  Did you remove this media from HARD disk?
  This is perhaps a question why the HARD drive does not fit into the case.

• Satellite Pro M70: removal of the USB device causes other peripheral USB does not work

  An Eicon Diva ISDN USB modem is connected to a USB port.

  When certain devices connected to a different USB port are deleted (even if removed safely with "eject" or "remove device safely", it causes the ISDN modem to file either a double channel (64 k + 64 k) ISDN, or for the ISDM modem to disconnect completely.)

  Cause this include any memory stick USB, MP3 player (ipod and creative zen) and so on.

  Do other devices, such as USB external hard drives & sometimes external DVD USB drives, and sonetimes do not produce this problem.

  Is this a known issue?
  If it is a hardware interrupt problem, how to solve it?
  This problem is related to the modem and the laptop?

  As a note, in addition, intermittent (random) times (cannot reproduce all the time, but it happens once or twice a day) when a USB device is accessible it causes the modem USB ISDN to drop a single channel, even if the lights on the modem still show it as it is connected. In this case and the case above, the only way to get the modem ISDN USB running again is physically disconnect and reconnect.

  The reason why it is a crucial issue is that:
  (1) the modem speed is halved or disconnected
  (2) the ISP continues to full rate for a double load connection even if a channel has been dropped.

  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  I have Satellite M70-159 and I didn t notice any strange problems with the USB ports. I use a few of them as printer, webcam, USB, memory stick, optical mouse, and external HARD drive. The devices are recognized correctly and I always remove without option delete without danger.

  Now I have Vista pre-installed and there is no problem so far. If I understand you right USB ports work fine but there is problem with USB modem only. Am I wrong?
  Also try to contact the producer of modem support. Is perhaps the question like this known and if all goes well, they have a logical explanation.

  So as I moved house I bought the latest wireless-n to match my old Qosmio G50 of 2 months.
  Pulled up the new router - hooked wife life its n - awsome 130Mo :) connection wireless adapter
  Now to my lappy, high connection - yay - hmmm, seems slower then I expected, oh that's because it is only seen as a G connection to 54.

  I am running Wep encryption, I've read is perhaps the question, but my dongle work perfectly, is it really true that this notebook can not actually use the stuff that I bought to use with it?
