• Windows parental control is not enforcing deadlines on the laptop of my daughter with XP installed.

  Not sure that I have taken the title of the question correct and the subject, but it was the closest, I could find.  Please move the post where this is necessary, if necessary.

  I have Windows parental controls installed on at least three computers in my house.  My children have separate user accounts and I can configure separately in fss.live.com.  Time work very well on machines Windows 7 (a desktop and a laptop, not that that matters).  On the laptop installed XP one, deadlines are ignored.  The content settings are applied to the user account of my daughter, but not the possible.

  Here's a quick break down:

  Office/Win7: Girl Acct, acct of son - both applied I want

  Computer laptop/Win7: Acct of son - exercised as I want

  Mobile/XP: Acct girl - applied content, time ignored

  Is there any sort of fix or additional parameters required for this to work on XP?  I can't find anything anywhere!

• Windows parental control will not sync with my computer

  I tried to leave my child to use a new Web site on the Windows parental control.  I was able to connect to my account online successfully (hotmail) parental control), but when the ToolTip for parental control is displayed on my screen, it tells me that the ID or the password is incorrect.   You have probably enabled two-step verification for the account. This means that you will need to generate a unique password app to use safe family rather than the account password.

  You cannot disable parental controls by using the standard user account. You should be an administrator to turn on or off the parental control.

  Another idea is to create a separate profile to Firefox for demos. It's a separate Firefox settings folder that is saved along with your main profile.

  A new profile will be your plugins installed by system (for example, Flash) and extensions (e.g., security suite toolbars), but no themes, other extensions or other customizations. It should also have databases of completely fresh settings and cool a cache folder.

  If you want to try it:

  Out of Firefox and start in the profile using Start Manager > Search box (or run):

  firefox.exe -P
  

  Do not delete anything here!

  Any time want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog box.

  Click on the button to create a profile, assign a name like Clean2015 and ignore the ability to move the profile folder. After you create the profile, select it and start Firefox in this profile.

  One of the advantages is that none of your history shows in this profile.

  When you return to the Profile Manager, you might be tempted to use the button to delete the profile. It's a little too easy to accidentally delete your 'real' profile, so I recommend you to resist the temptation.   Thanks for getting back to me. I sold my old laptop to my son-in-law, and he asked me to remove my name from the computer off so that my name wasn't on the screen all the time. so I deleted the profile of cook of lorraine and made one for him, but I didn't give it a password. then I realized what I had to do (I got Lorraine where time is on the bottom of the screen), but was unable to highlight to remove it without a mouse. so I plugged a mouse, but the computer does not read, then I restarted the computer. When I restarted, all I could get was the windows login screen.

  then I typed in the name son-nlaws and they said that he was kidnapped, tyoed in mine and got the same and then typed in Administrator, but did not know the password. I have since reinstalled windows. XP Professional would not install saying a file was missing, so I installed xp family and is working again. He just has to click on what edition it wants to run. Professional XP of course happen just with the display of connection... but it can use again.
