  I ve installed Essbase & financial reports. When I started financial reports im getting the error CAN NOT CONNECT to THE GSM SERVER SERVERNAME:6800.. _
  
  What is the problem.

  Try to stop everything. Start Shared Services and make sure that it is all the way to the top. Then start the BI database Service. Check the log after starting to ensure that the core service started successfully. You should see a message similar to "Give control to the ORB," which shows that the core service and started correctly GSM. If there are errors, you will need to go back and re - run the config utility. If GSM is on another machine that FR, so make sure that machines can resolve host names used in the configuration tool. I suggest using fully qualified domain name. You should be able to ping the machine: 6800 to ensure.

  Using Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio, I edit a report to add a few new accounts. I paste the lines matches the formatting and then go in and manually select the new Member (account number different which I copied).
  
  After saving the report, opening and closing back up, when I do a preview of web news show now.
  
  Here is the specific section. I added members of Base 28100 and 28100 below, the same with 28800, these items do not appear when I preview the report. The rest of the items were already there and continues to display in the preview.

• The ports to open for Hyperion Financial Reporting

  We are facing a problem in the studio of Hyperion Financial Reporting while trying to connect to the Essbase database. When I gave the essbase cube, studio details is just off the hook and does not. I am able to select the application as the Essbase Server database.
  Give you a brief idea that Server1 holds Essbase, EAS, and Server2 Shared Services, HFR(including Studio), Integration Services. We opened the port 1423 between Server1 and Server2. We also opened 10080 (I don't know why), 32768, 32769 to interact with the application running on these ports. still no answer.
  
  Can someone please suggest me if I need to make some additional changes/configurations. or I do something wrong?

  Hello, I hope someone can help. I use Windows 7 64-bit. on a high spec pc. When you run FS2004 (Flight Sim program) I get the error message "" run-time error '429': ActiveX component can't create object ". " That seems to relate to the flight or the CMF management computer program. This error seems to inhibit access to the CMF. I tried to load the latest ATI driver, but that makes things worse. Has anyone encountered this problem before? Hope it

  Unfortunately, none of the above worked. However, I downloaded a file recommended by Flight1 (the creators of one of the 2 games I had problems with) surprisingly, thisinstantly solved the problem it is called http://www.flight1.com/dx7vb.exe.

  Perhaps in the future someone else have this same problem with Vista 64-bit where the game, they could also try this "correction". Of course, it worked for me!

• Hyperion Financial Reporting-Print Service is not running - put 11.1.2.1

  We use the Hyperion 11.1.2.1 and when I look at my Hyperion Financial Reporting-Print service, it shows me to stop and when I right click to stop/start it the options are grayed out.

  I completely stopped all services of hyperion and them began and now the HFR print service shows me as departure.

  Kindly help me what should I do to solve this problem.

  There should be a newspaper available that can give more indication to this problem, not being is not able to connect to the web server en is one of the common issues.

  try running the FRRemovePrintServer.cmd the Hyperion Financial reporting - Print serivce deleted successfully and run FRSetupPrintServer.cmd to add

  check if it is releated to the firewall. Make sure that the ports are open.

• Hyperion financial reports on server location

  Hyperion financial reports are available as files raw on the web server somewhere? I would like to restore a backup and hoped that they would be in the directory \Hyperion in the form of .as files. Is probably not as easy, but any info would be great.

  For 7.2.5 reports, they're in a SQL database table (I think that something RPT) and the binary data field contains the text of the report. (I did like that because if you wanted to check what reports made use of an account, entity, you could just do a search on the table... freetext)

  9.3.1 for reports, they are in a crazy file structure, with crazy names and are compressed. You will find them under the web/RM service request folder. So X - REF names correctly, you will need to consider the more BI a little bit database. The table of interest is V8_CONTAINER.

  I've implemented a script SQL 2005 that will generate you a list of all the reports in the form of hierarchy. This will help you also attach files / reports in file structure...

  NOTE: WHERE d.PARENT_FOLDER_UUID = 'REPORTMART.

  ↑ This will return a hierarchy of EVERYTHING in the table which will probably include things you don't want to watch. Simply change "REPORTMART" to match a UUID specified in the results, and then the query will show you all items at that time here instead.

  We need to migrate the Hyperion financial reporting relationship between Dev and PROD, we tried to copy the DEV database and place it on the PROD, but that does not work as I believe there are several tables pointing to the DEV environment.
