  • Equium A60 - no wireless network connection

    Hello world

I have had a good look through the forums and can't find anything related to this but my apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere :-)

I set up a wireless home network with a Windows XP desktop computer with a router and a laptop old Win98, WinXP SP2, which I can't connect and an Equium A60. I installed two different network on the A60 USB adapters, seems to be okay with all of them except that there is no "wireless network connection" listed under network connections Control Panel. Both cards work fine on two other machines, so there must be a problem with the A60. I installed an adapter and then uninstalled before trying another.

Under control-> connections Panel Network, I can see an old broadband connection and the connection to the Local network (which is allowing me to connect to the router via Ethernet, so that the router will work), but the wireless network connection icon is not there. The driver for the USB adapter makes its appearance in Device Manager and is reported as working properly, but if it worked correctly then (I think) a wireless connection icon should appear - it happened with my other WinXP desktop.

Any ideas of what could be the cause?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

I guess that the external WLan USB stick has been recognized one installed correctly. You said it appears in Device Manager. Are you sure that the WLAN USB key has been recognized to 101%? !!

If the WLAN USB key is recognized correctly, check the properties of this stick. (I think you should right click and then click on properties).

But if the stick was not recognized, you must verify the properties of the single USB ports and power safe mode.
Choose the USB single root hubs in device, right click, properties, tab power management Manager and disable the option called allow the computer to turn off the device to save energy.

    So maybe it helps

  • Problems with wireless USB adapter. Icon missing "Wireless network connection".

I recently got a laptop HD malfunction cause me to start my PC from 2004. I bought a Belkin N150 Wireless USB adapter to connect to the internet connectivity. During the installation, I do not get a "Wireless network connection" icon I am running Windows XP SP3. I installed the same USB adapter on a computer running Windows XP SP2 and it works fine. I plugged it in my desktop PC and it just doesn't work! Even with my router disconnected I should still be able to see other networks WiFi available in the range (I live in a community of apartment) as he worked on the other computer it elsewhere too. I double checked the drivers, reboot the cable modem, so that appropriate services were activated and still no dice. I have read forums and I'm almost at the point of paying MS for technical support services, but it's really just my last step before I shell out money for professional help. Notice to lovers? =)

    Hello

Well, at this point, you should make an executive decision.

If you think that someone will take just guilt because it's comfortable, it is not going to happen.

If a new card that is known to work does not work, then you can try to re - install Windows.

One of the differences between computer enthusiasts and regular users is the availability of the material. I have a set of wireless router, network cards, etc. that are known to be good.

The components are used for the sole purpose of trying them temporarily on the troubled computers to rule out hardware problems.

    Hello

    1. what operating system you are using?

    2. how many computers is connected to the network?

    3 - is a domain network?

    4. What is the exact error code or error message you received?

5 have have there been recent changes made on the computer before the show?

Follow the steps mentioned below and check if that helps.

    Method 1: Troubleshooting run Network.

Method 2: Wi - Fi and in Windows network connection issues.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/help/wired-and-wireless-network-connection-problems-in-Windows

If you cannot connect to a network, it could be a problem with your network adapter. You can try to use the network adapter troubleshooting utility to automatically find and fix some common problems.

How can I troubleshoot network card?

Method 3: Disable the security software and check.

You can also temporarily disable the security software and check if the problem persists. Be sure to enable this security software on the computer after checking.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

If disabling the security software solves the problem, then contact the manufacturer of the specific security software to fix the problem.

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • I can't print due to the "wireless network connection" doesn't have a valid IP address.

    Cannot print wireless

I can't print due to the "wireless network connection" doesn't have a valid IP address.  How can I fix this problem myself (an absolute non-techie)?

    Hello

-Did you change your computer, after which the question began?
-Check if you are connected to the network?

The question seems more like a network connection problem. I would like you to do the following.

Method 1: run the Network Troubleshooter utility and see if the problem persists.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-the-network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7

Method 2: release and renew the IP (Internet Protocol) address and see if the problem persists.

has. click Start. Type cmd in the search box and press ENTER.
    b. at the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:
ipconfig/all (there is a space between ipconfig and /)
The command ipconfig/all command displays for all your network adapters, TCP/IP in Windows settings.

If your IP address of your Local network connection is 0.0.0.0 or 169.x.x.x (where x is a number any), then your computer is not getting an IP address from the router.
If this is the case, try this:
    ·        enough ipconfig at the command prompt and press ENTER
    ·        ipconfig / renew in the command prompt and press ENTER

    Method 3:

    Network printer problems

Note: The steps also apply to Windows 7.

I still need help: 11-24-10' uncorrected problem after all

I have a laptop of refurbished HP older Pavilion ze5385US who has recently lost the wireless connection.  Now, I have to leave it plugged in to use, not practical at all.  I did the right click on the icon to open the network connections, left clicked wireless network connections and then clicked "repair this connection.  The uninstaslled of the computer, and then was not able to reinstall.  When I checked D, it was empty.  I thought it was where restoration stuff should have been.  So I downloaded and reinstalled much Express IEEE 802.11 PCI card Lan, until I found the one that the computer would be except.  Now, it appears in device very good Manager, but has theyellow cone with! on the icon in the status bar at the bottom.  When I raised it lights, it is said: 13 of (ANY) wireless network connection, speed: 11.0 Mbps, Signal strength: Excellent, status: limited or no connectivity.  When I choose "View available wireless networks", I get "Windows cannot configure this wireless connection.  Under network without wire/support/details of connections, Iget physical address: 00-02-8A-92-BE-0C, IP address: 169.254.196.112 subnet mask: 255.255.0.0, then the default gateway, DNS server, WINS server & have not enumerated values. I'm afraid to hit the repair again, it could wipe out the only map I've found so far that is accepted by my computer.  When I try to enter the knowledge base for WinXP, I get an error for this page, as well as several other help pages I tried the site of microsoft.com for help.  When I used configurationtool thewireless zero in respect of services & restart earlier, I had a red X on my icon, so I guess I've lost my card after all.  Can I disable this?  The map always shows as OK in Device Manager.  Any ideas anyone?  I need help here please.

    Hello

I thank you and wish you the same.

I see that your problem has been solved using the HP driver that you mentioned on Thursday, November 18 in your message and the Express.sys is a problem with Windows install.

I suggest to install the version of Windows install 4.5 on the system from the link below and then update the driver from the link that was attached to your question before and check.

    Step 1:

    Install windows install 4.5

    Windows install 4.5 Redistributable

    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=5A58B56F-60B6-4412-95B9-54D056D6F9F4&displaylang=en

    Step 2:

Update the driver from the link you mentioned in your previous post.

I suggest you to check with TP-link if this model is compatible with Windows XP or not.

  • On windows xp, wireless network settings icon does not appear and I can't set up my new wireless connection?

I got a new modem from AT & T because of my Wi - Fi connection failed yesterday. • I lose the internet connection randomly but never lose my wireless network connection.

I use a hp pavilion dv9500 with 64-bit vista sp2 and built in a wireless adapter that will fall randomly my internet wireless connection, but maintains my wireless network connection with an excellent signal strength.

    My (non-permanent) fixed
I know how to reconnect to the internet, but it forces me to diagnose a repair my connection. It then displays "cannot connect to Server primary dns (75.75.75.75)"after which it gives "things to try" who never work and a button 'Reset the ip address' that I click. " repair bar will fill up to half way and go to a new screen solution that shows more 'solutions' and a "reset wireless adapter" button which I click. the remedy bar will fill and then display windows can not solve the problem and go for help. I then manually disconnect from the wireless network and my computer will automatically reconnect to the network and to the internet. It takes about five minutes to fix, but it happens so often that it is getting boring. The process will not work if I only to reset the ip address and then disconnect from the network, only to reset the wireless adapter and then disconnect, or just disconnect from the network and reconnect. I have to reset the ip address and the wireless adapter and then disconnect from the network.

The internet connection will tend to disconnect when I watch a lot of youtube videos, when I download large files like a game on steam, or just just randomly when I use it. I'll use it for a long time and he can't let it go, but sometimes it will go down to ten minutes after I had just reconnected in a drop-down list. It happens randomly without another warning that download time will increase from 2 mb to 50 k in two seconds all about or stop the loading of a youtube video when I look at it.
I searched everywhere for an answer, but it's as if it were a new problem for all humanity or just im the only person who does not know how to solve this problem, because there are no forums or FAQ not related to my problem. It is not so much a serious problem such as an irritating problem that appears at inconvenient times or when I just want to relax and watch a video. It takes some time to reconnect and even though I know how it would be better if my connection would just stay connected to the internet at any time.
I have no idea what the problem could be that whenever I have find I never get related problems. all advice or solution would be great.
I also share this modem with other three commonly used computers: a wired office and two other laptops that the two are connected wirelessly. both other laptops do not have the same problem as mine. My router is a linksys e3000 wireless router.
