What a PITA! I just recorded, spent some time typing, responded to the confirmation email, spent some time more typing and had "Access denied" when I click on submit. Everything I had typed is gone, and I have to start all over again! I repeat - PITA! Type it again will be a bit more stripped. I hope that it is enough to get help.
I use Tbird since 2009. 4 email accounts, pop3 all configured to use a single local folders Inbox. I use popfile to classify/sort incoming mail & message filters to move 20 + different folders under local folders. It has been working perfectly for years.
I just add an another Gmail configured EXACTLY like the others. But a new show up as a separate account over local folders in the folder with its own Inbox and trash folders list. NO other 4 accounts appear here. I get duplicates of all mail entering this new account - 1 to the Inbox of the own account and 1 in the Inbox 'common' which is then moved to the local folder appropriate by the message filter. And the additional account in the folder list causes a few folders to "fall" down my screen. I've implemented VERY carefully so that everything fits on my screen WITHOUT SCROLLING. Except that it doesn't not fit!
What have I done wrong?
Nevermind - I FINALLY found. Under Advanced - Server settings use the Inbox of the other account. It has been TOO long since I've implemented all other accounts!

Story: I have been a customer of BT to * using the mail to send and receive mail for 10 years and more. Joined infinity bt jan 2016 everything is ok with mac bad BT account (os10.11.6). Then early August outward mail could not be sent obstruction in a box for 24 hours.
Consulted help bt, told me that they did not have third-party software (gmail account successfully performed with third-party mac mail on my macbook pro) and it is a problem to apple and I need to check their software engineer recommended for sorting.
Asked this question to bt and still waiting for answer "can you answer why I got the service for the past 10 years, using an account in mac mail and mal.wolf@btinternet, but now I can not yet send email from mac e-mail?"

Although all the settings of the server are correct, then Apple Mail will work with any email account. It's just an email such as MS Outlook or Thunderbird client. I have an e-mail account that has no (specified in the file/Subscribe) subscription on it after that I tried to fix it by using the option 'Repair file' (in the file/Edit Properties). I want to keep the same email address as this is my main address. I don't know how to put subscriptions on it and thought that by removing and re - open, this could put subscriptions on, but I don't know if I can re - open address even if I delete it. Can the same e-mail address be added once it is removed if it is the main address I have in Thunderbird? It is an IMAP account.

Student email account cannot be added for Apple Mail
I have a new e-mail account to a student who fails authentication always when I try to add to my Apple Mail on my Mac. I have the current OS of El Capitan. I talked to technical support at school, and he said he has never been able to get this working, apparently due to some problem with 2-factor of Apple. The account sets fine on my iOS devices, and although it is an address wgu.edu, it's actually a Google account.
Someone at - it knowledge or suggestions on this subject?

24.5.0 - deleted mail account and have problems with a new false folder

I've been messing around with my Thunderbird data, so this problem is of my own making I think.
I deleted an e-mail account using my provider configuration area. It was an e-mail account that I had set up initially at his accession to this provider and contained only test messages etc and was therefore no other use.
I had implemented this e-mail in Thunderbird and after deleting the account with my ISP I then removed the account in Thunderbird. Everything seemed to be OK.
Now, to confuse the issues. I had already set up a list of folders under local folders for emails filtered into Thunderbird - I now moved their in my main account by click/drag and drop on the name of the account. Although it has taken a lot of time (and unexpectedly used a huge amount of bandwidth), the operation seemed at last to the end (even though it was really hard to determine until I finally found the activity monitor).
Now, to the point of this ad:
After all the above, I discovered that a false file was created under the Inbox of my main account, called "new % 20Folder = 0' that I read in the new folder-0. I don't know at what point in the above that this issue has appeared, but I * think * I must have dragged / dropped one of my folder moves on the Inbox instead of the account name field.
Now, dear readers, if you've got so far, most of my problem. I can not remove this folder when I try, I get the message

I'd do it:
(a) check on the website of the the email provider to check if he had copied here and cope. Your mention of bandwidth suggests it is an IMAP-connected account.
(b) close Thunderbird, open their profile , and delete the offending file there. You need to browse your profile for a while understand its structure before doing anything rash.
In General, I discourage users to drag files just as you did. By all means, drag the content (even better, use to select, then right click and "copy to" or "move to"), but moving files is IMHO indefinite operation with unpredictable results. I've heard talk of users move a folder from one account to another and find that it always associated with (i.e. "belongs to") the original account.

Have you checked that the SMTP settings for your exchange account are correct? not any medium of account Exchange SMTP connection that is required for the application.

I can print on my printer HP from my iPhone using a google account. However, I can't add my ISP provided on the ePrint application account without getting an error checking.
