I am Admin on my PC, but cannot change the display settings.

I have vista home premium and I can't change my wallpaper. I am logged on as administrator and can change most of the other settings, but a box tells be that the administrator has blocked the launching of the display settings control panel. I don't think that I have never done this, not intentionally at least. I tried to use the parameters of Environmental Variables, but it's like a foreign language to me - I don't know what to do with it. I don't have time for this! I have a job to do. Does anyone know an easy fix for this?

Hello wall14hm,

Here is one link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Change-your-desktop-background-wallpaper which will help you in detail on how to change your screen background image (background). Let us know anyway. Make it a great day!

    Hello

I know that it isn't the best article at the post office, but there is no instance void for my computer (Satellite NB10T) series and this problem is bound to win 8
I'm stuck at the moment: I disentailed 8 victory because I want to go back to 7

    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB2C03F80002R01.htm
The problem is that I did not mode Boot under advanced system configuration option; the only thing I can do is enable or disable secure under the Security tab, startup mode which isn't enough

I also added a supervisor password. It adds a clear keys for secure boot option, but still nothing on the Advanced tab to move to the Csm.
Clearing keys does not work too.

I tried to boot multiple linux distro and win7 on usb bootable (theses work on other computers), but no luck. Boot order usb first value of course).
    What can I do?

Edit: will put some pictures of the uefi

You posted the screenshots of the configuration of Toshiba utility.
The boot mode must be changed in the BIOS settings.

To access the BIOS of the laptop must be turned off.
Then put the unit BUTTON and press F2 to enter the BIOS.

In the BIOS, you will find the necessary options: secure boot must be disabled and the UEFI mode must be changed to MSC mode

  • Open the new browser works, but cannot change the cursor to reflect that it is clickable

Here is the link to my site - www.localwally.com/napatest3

I wanted to make all the pictures on the clickable site for a larger image - but I didn't have to create separate Web pages for each of them. And I went to the BEHAVIORS added "Open the browser click" - it works, but I can't find a way to change the cursor to the arrow by hand to show people that this is a clickable link. Here is the code below - any ideas? Don't you worry that when you click on it it does not return a pic. I didn't upload them for this test. You should get the new browser without content inside.

Also, I would love to add a caption to the photo, but does not know who is!

Learn the HTML is the most important thing you can do if you are serious
    on the use of DW.

There is an easy way to do it-

    * Select the image that triggers the behavior
    * Enter it ' # ' in the field of the property inspector link
    * When you tab off the field link, you should see appear on the
Tag (at the bottom of the document pane) selector
    * Click the tag in the tag selector
    and apply the behavior

That you will get 90% of the way. There are two additional things you
    can do after that-

1 copy the link in the image you pop up and paste it instead of
the "#", you added to the link field
    2. Add '; return false;' at the end of the behavior

I believe that David Powers has an extension called "Smart Link" that will do
These for you two. Google it...

  • Sound problems on computer, cannot change the sound settings

I had a long-standing problem in the audio settings of the Control Panel on Windows 7 where I can't change settings, configure anything or especially toggle of the devices. The options are there, but they have no effect when selected. Recently, I tried to connect my laptop to a TV, and as I could not set as the default audio device, I finally decided to try to fix things. I deleted and reinstalled the software Realtek my laptop and everything he has done is completely turn off my speakers, and all attempts to reactivate failed them. The unit displays in the control panel as a default active device, but claims of the taskbar that there are no speakers is connected, and if I click to set up the Realtek Audio, I have the same situation that before where absolutely nothing is happening.

I tried troubleshooting sound problems, and all I get is the statement that an audio device is disabled, no attempt to fix or any option to enable. Apart from a system restore, that in general, I try to avoid, I feel that I have tried everything I can think of to fix this and only managed to make it worse. No help available would be appreciated to receive my laptop back to a functioning State.

Model is a fickle Dell XPS L501X, if this is any help.

I tried both of these methods several times without success, but since I found a result to this problem online. (Here: http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f217/solved-no-sound-the-unsolvable-problem-take-the-challenge-594113.html)

I will stick also the solution here should someone stumbles on this page in the future trying to solve the same problem:

Hi, go to start search and type cmd search will return the click right on cmd.exe and select "run as Administrator" at the prompt, type: -.

net localgroup administrators / add networkservice
    Press enter, and then type:
net localgroup administrators / add localservice
    Press enter, and then type:
    output
Press enter, and then restart your computer

Thanks for the help though, Yann!

  • The key and the shortcuts work but cannot see the display on the monitor

    the function keys

As soon as you turn on press F8 repeatadly, eventually the safe mode options menu should appear, select Security with networking, it doesn't then continue successfully (ie the screen visible)?

This problem occurred after you update or install something? If so, disconnect any connected device and see if you can use the system restore for a period prior to the problem.

  • Cannot change the print settings

I have a new printer, an Epson XP 430. My previous printer was also an Epson. With my old printer, when I chose to print (for a document, web page, etc.) the dialog always had an option to choose, black and white. I also could add to the presets and edit presets.

With this printer, I can see the presets, but I can't make changes. When I click on view Presets, it is not an option for adding a new preset as it was with my old printer and remove and duplicate boxes are grayed out.

I guess that this is due to the printer, not OS X, as I noticed the difference when I started using the new printer. Am I missing something somewhere? I rarely print in color, so I would have a preset that specifies black & white.

    Thank you.

    Sheri

Since you have a new printer, you can create new presets. This is done through the printer with the selected printer dialog box, not through the page view Presets. When you select this option to print do the settings that you want to create a preset for and then click on the drop down preset menu. Select "Save current settings as preset" and enter a name for the new preset.

  • LaserJet MFP M277 PLC6: Cannot change the color settings, specifically in the category of graphs

I need help on how to change the color for printer settings. I am unable to print graphics on forms, they come out as a solid black box. When I go into the color options I'm completely unable to change, there is no options to change anything: it only shows as neutral gray and black graphics.

The printer has been the subject of assessment, and there are no exceptions to this topic. Please help.

Your question is usually a driver problem.  Try to use pcl5 or postscript driver to see if one of them makes a difference.

    Hello

I just changed a new laptop with win 7. I have a little problem with screen saver which is defined in the field of sleep on white screen, set to 15 minutes and requires the password. Everything is more gray, so I have no possibility to change that.

Can someone help me to unlock the screen saver settings (remove the grey shadow) so that I can customize my screen saver?

    Thank you

    Hi Baracus,

    1. are you able to click on the dropdown under screen saver?
2 or it is dimmed as well?

If this isn't the case, then select a different screen saver and try to change the settings.

This folder is located in the windows folder: $NtUninstallKB36574$
It is not accessible.  I can't change the security settings.
It is the remains of an outbreak of the virus.
I saw that on 2 client computers this course last 6 months.
So, how is it possible for an inaccessible folder to administrators?
How can I change the security settings to remove.
After you run several virus cleaners, I'm pretty sure that the virus has disappeared.
    Ideas?

You should be able to remove it from the command prompt in Windows Repair Mode.
