Hello:

Unfortunately, I do not know what to do either, because the drivers that I have provided are definitely for this video card.

The hardware ID indicates that the video is a Radeon x 1600.

Try to manually install the driver as you did for the AMD driver by far. Navigate to the installation folder for the second file that is located in C:\SWSetup\sp34556\Driver\XP inf and see if you can get it to install what I gave you.

  • What is TV tuner/Radio (FM) for Windows Media Center tuner? How to install on the computer?

    Hello

What is the TV tuner and FM Radio tuner? Is it a software or a difficult, how to install them on the computer? I can buy from a retailer. How will I know which is for my pc.

Please help me to answer the question.

    Respectfully,.

    Hello

Thanks for posting the question in the Microsoft Community forums.

According to the description, you need to know more about the Tv tuner and tuner Radio (FM) for Windows Media Center.

To listen to the FM radio in Media Center, you will need a tuner FM connected to or installed on your computer and an antenna connected to the tuner to receive a signal. FM tuners are very similar to TV tuners in fact, many TV tuner cards have a built in FM tuner.

  • I got a new computer and media center tv quality units is not good

I just got a brand new computer and I have a tv tuner that I used on my computer spent and now the quality is not good. It is very grainy. I use the same screen and everything.

    Hi Mikey,

Thanks for posting this question in the Microsoft Community.

As I understand it the quality is not good, when viewing the Media Center TV. Before we begin, I have to ask you a few questions.

You have installed the drivers for the TV tuner on the new computer?

You can also start the computer in a clean boot State, and check if all third-party software can be the cause of the problem.

Note: when you are finished troubleshooting, follow step 3, mentioned in the article to start the computer to a normal startup.

You can also visit the manufacturer of TV tuner for all of the updated drivers and install the same.

Hope this information is helpful and let us know if you need more assistance. We will be happy to help you.

  • Set up Media Center using Xbox 360 as Extender fails - HELP!

I use Windows 7 64 b Assus laptop and the new version of the Xbox 360 as a media center extender on a network home wifi elapse a router Linksys E4200.  I have Norton Internet Security (v18.6.0.29) and the standard Windows Firewall on my laptop.  I have configure manually all ports right on the Norton firewall as described in the Article ID: 911728 - last review: February 16, 2010 - revision: 6.0 entitled "Firewall Ports that must be open to use your Xbox 360 as a Media Center Extender.  I get throughout the series until the last step.  Both the Xbox and the laptop appear to expire and I get an error message on the xBox that says:

COMPLETED CONNECTION: "the Xbox 360 has been disconnected from the PC Media Center.  For technical support, visit Microsoft Support at http://support.microsoft.com".

If I do nothing, the Xbox will attempt to restart the connection three times until I'm finally getting a message that says:

"Xbox 360 could not connect to the Windows Media Center computer. Turn on your Xbox 360 console off and then on again and try to connect again"

I did this several times without success. I also disabled my firewall from Norton and my Windows Firewall but still no further.  The Media Center on the laptop says it is installed and ready to use and I do not see my laptop under video library on the Xbox, but when I choose what it I get an error message that says:

"Unable to connect. Make sure that you have activated this console on your computer.

I copied the last entries in the log events below that shows the last attempt I made to configure the Extender. You will see a newspaper where the Extender and successfully it implements and then several error messages that I can't understand.

The last five entries are exactly the same as above.  During this attempt, I had turned on the Firewall Norton back after that defining carefully all the rules required by the above mentioned article.  The results are the same if I have the active firewall or disabled - just says error message the connection has expired when the firewall is disabled.

I hope someone can help me with this - I have spent all day trying to solve this and I'm at the end of my rope.

OK, so I spent all morning pour on my router configs without success and then realized that my drive mapping had stopped working when I updated to my current router E4200.  So I double checked all configs in Windows file sharing and realized that I had activated password sharing which prevented the player sharing between my laptop and my laptop children without creating the same user accounts on each box.  Who sets and I was able to get my shared drives. Then I pulled upward to Media Center again and got exactly the same answer as before.  I thought I was really puzzled but thought I would try and open shared files, I could see on my Xbox AND THIS TIME IT WORKED!  It must have been the password of sharing that prevented the connections between the Media Center on my laptop and Xbox and he disguised himself as a firewall or setting a timeout problem that led me down the wrong path.

Thanks for the suggestion check the router settings.  I would not have thought to double check my disk sharing settings otherwise.

  • Can I use the Windows Media Center already purchased with newly installed Win 8 Pro?

Hello, community.  I've never really had to ask any questions or messages on the community forums, but simply, I can't find the answer to this,

So Microsoft was offerring winder 8 Pro at prices extremely low at launch.  Another bonus is that you could sign up for a free installation of Windows Media Center.  I have a TB tuner card in one of my places with two ports so I can watch TV or it is apparent from the file on my PC as a DVR and it worked perfectly.   However, recently, my c:\ died and I had to buy a new one and I got a new copy of Windows 8 Pro.  I was hoping that my account name Microsoft would allow me to re - download Media Center but it looks like I'll have to buy it now.

Is it the way it is or am I missing something that could restore my MWC installation?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

    Original title: Windows Media Center

    Hello

How did you install operating system Windows 8, which was previously an upgrade installation or custom?

If you have Windows Media Center free of charge then you would have received a product key for the same thing, I recommend you to use the same product key to activate or add Windows Media center to a new installation of Windows 8 PRO.

    See the following Microsoft article.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Cannot boot to Windows media. I am trying to install Windows 7.

try to update xp to 7

I tried to clean my computer, so I can't start with a new version of xp or 7. that won't work. I tried to boot from the disc, but whenever the application screen press any key to boot from the drive of the keyboard does not respond so automatically it starts normally again. I tried to install both while the computer has already started and I got two different error messages. When I tried to install or reinstall XP I would get a message before that something has started saying "no valid system partitions were found. Setup cannot continue. "while trying to install 7 on the computer, I would get an error message saying"Windows installation encountered an unexpected error. Check that the installation sources are accessible and restart the installation. "Error code: 0xC0000005. I tried to start own like some answers on the error code suggested but not success. I tried to create a new partition in the Disk Manager storage option, but the only available drive is the cd/dvd drive. I checked the disk defragment area and it shows two local drives with the lines of the letter, but I won't let it defrag or disks I could sure use some help.

Your question is somewhat confusing, but it seems as if you have either a bad CD/DVD player or you don't use Microsoft installation media.

    I guess

I tried to boot from the disc, but whenever the application screen press any key to boot from the drive of the keyboard does not respond so automatically it starts normally again.

means that you are trying to boot from the installation CD (not the hard drive, which is usually what refers to 'disc').  Have you entered the BIOS of your computer (configuration screen) and set the boot options so that the CD drive is at the top of the list?  If not, do so and then see if you can boot from the CD successfully.

Is there a Microsoft hologram on this topic your XP installation CD?  What your DVD of Windows 7?

When you wrote that you "tried to clean my computer", did you mean you have already formatted the hard drive somehow?  If so, that would explain the "message"no valid system partitions has been found,"but seems inconsistent with your statement that"it automatically starts normally again.' "

Your computer is currently usable?  If so, what operating system is installed?

You might want to look at these two sets of guidelines to do a clean install of XP.  The first includes screenshots:

  • You can transfer the Pack Windows Media Center on another computer Windows 8 Pro?

When Media Center Pack goes free for win8 Pro, I submit one.

When I update with the key Media Center Pack, I see the LICENSE AGREEMENT on the terms of transfer software.
    I have a question:
It is said bind Media Center Pack to your computer for activation, this means that you can not transfer a Media Center Pack to another computer, but dose the win8 pro which update this Media Center Pack also link to this computer?
Or just the Media Center Pack has been linked to, the win8 pro which update this Media Center Pack can be transferred to another computer?
Can someone give me an official response?

If you remove the installation of Windows 8 Pro of the current computer, then activate it on another computer, you can then move the Media Center license on another computer. Media Center license is dependent on installation of Windows 8 Pro enabled. He could never be associated with the computer because it requires an operating system.
