We have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L505-S6946 with Windows Vista on it. We bought a router Netgear Wireless G WGR614V10 a few months ago and installed ok. It worked fine for a few months. Connect the printer to your router with an Ethernet cable.  After that go on each PC and delete all instances of the printer in Control Panel > printers (or devices & printers on Win 7).

Then, add the printer in this way:

    1. make sure the printer is on and connected to your network. Verify that you can access the printer's internal web page by accessing its IP address before continuing. Get his IP address for a network Test printed on the front of the printer.
    2. click on > start > Control Panel > devices & Printers.

Sorry, but I'm not familiar with this device.  However, I would search in the areas of networks, VPN and security.

You want to be sure of not having active VPN and also look for implementing isolation.

    This manual can help: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/csbr/rv120w/administration/guide/rv120w_admin.pdf

In the 2nd attempt I run Setup.exe in the directory of Photoshop and nothing happens at all the. I'm never even offered the opportunity to enter my product code. What should I do?

  • When running Vista Home Premium 64-bit. I disconnected and reconnected to my work programmes often... where calls interrupted

I had my internet provider here at least 10 times in the last 2 weeks. They see no problem.  I gave my computer to Microsoft, he ran and saw no problem.

But I still have questions!  Even online game (poker), you can see where it disconnects and reconnects repeatedly.

    Can any help...?

    Hi LoriBob,

    1. is the part of the computer from the domain?
    2. when the last time programs worked well?
    3. What is the type of internet connection you use?
    4. only happens to the programs or even disconnected Web sites?

If this only happens with online programs, it is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is behind internet connection dropped.

I suggest that you do check and clean boot, if it works.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

    3. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
    4. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click restart.

If the problem persists then you need to update the network adapter drivers on the computer by visiting the network card manufacturer's Web site will download and install latest driver update.

  • Wired laptop but unable to connect to the laptop wireless wireless PC can connect cable PC OK

I have a wired network on whiich, I connected a WAP54G access point for my laptop wireless to children. They are never anything other that connect to the internet, so I never noticed this before. Now, I bought my own laptop and that you want to connect from my main computer but the laptop is not visible on the network. I then connected directly on the laptop to the network wired through an ethernet cable, and it was visible from the wired PC as you would expect. Back fi he returned invisible.

Does anyone have ideas, what could cause this behavior?

    Thanks for all your comments

Presumably using your XP or Vista!

You need to change network settings into the laptop to allow remote connections according to the directives of the wired connection.

You will also need to make changes to the false firewall XP/Vista has as well.

FYI: The WAP54G has no way to filter all network traffic, so the question is not to the AP.
