  What antivirus you have installed before? Is the virus/malware-free system? If you have a current antivirus installed and you went through at least some of the malware removal steps I list in the link I have given if you are sure that the system is clean, uninstall McAfee and see if that solves your problem. If you connect to the Internet behind a router, you can be sure for this quick test. If you are connected directly to a cable/dsl modem, then firstly download Avast or even Microsoft Security Essentials (both free). Then, disconnect from the Internet and uninstall McAfee. Install the antivirus of your choice and test. If all goes well, your problems have been caused by McAfee. This is not surprising since McAfee is perhaps the worst choice for safety, we could do.

  If you had any antivirus installed before McAfee, then you must go through all stages of thorough removal of malware listed in the my link before anything else. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  First of all, you can try using system restore if the problem just started happening.

  Go to your Start Menu > Accessories > system tools > system restore.

SO that being said, once I did that I'm more seeing the pop up that I had something in the drive which allows you to download the pictures from my memory card from my camera to my computer and I click on. I need advice because I do not know how to understand anything about this kind of things in Windows 8. Much appreciated! :-)

  On the desktop, right-click in the lower left corner (Start Menu) and find the control Menu.  From there, choose AutoPlay.  When it lists what to do when a memory card is inserted, what do you see as a choice?  Select the import option and the next time you insert the memory card, it should pop up in the import dialog box.

  Other things to check:

  1. Is that what you were previously on Windows to import?  If so, choose this option.  If you don't see the option, you may need to register some dll.
  2. Did you already use library to import?  If so, do you have installed Windows Essentials?

  If you still don't see the import options, read the next question.  It covers the Photo Gallery or Windows configuration as the default importer.

• OTP-S5100 - "unable to start the server" - but he DOES not see my computer!

However, as I add new video files, new files do not show upward (but in the same directory as the others).   I am a Subscriber CC long time and current. Yesterday, Encore CS6 worked. Today, when I click to open the program and even invites me to enter a serial number or "quit". There's no other choice.

" And no mention of when that time will be. THIS is NOT CUSTOMER Service. If not cool, moral or right in any universe. Just leave me hanging. I can't put words how upset I am at the moment. Adobe has really let me down.

  Richard, I tried "run as administrator" does not. However, I was able to get in touch with a technology adobe today. After about 3 or 4 different technicians, one finally was able to help me.

  The tech had me open CC Pro Pre and go to 'help' and click on "logout". When you do this a pop up appears saying only: disconnection turns the following on this computer software, unless you connect again. following with the icon for each application Adobe CC that I installed.

  The tech had me then open the pre Pro CS6, who at the opening of the askes you to sign in which I did. Once opened, pre Pro CS6 the tech had me check under 'help' to see if the option 'disable' was available or greyed out. For me, it is gray.

  Then the tech had me pre Pro CS6 to close and open again and check 'help' to see if disable was still gray. and it was still grayed out.

  Then, the tech had me close pre Pro CS6 and open meadow CC Pro which invites you to connect. After CC Pro Pre launched the tech told me close it and open pre Pro CS6 too check under the tab "help" again and confirm if 'disable' is always grayed out or black (executable). This time, 'disable' was black.

  Then, the tech had me start Encore CS6 tto see if she still required a serial number. This time Ecore open like it should, without requiring a serial number.

  I hope that this stick, or Adobe includes a definitive solution to the next update.

The program says it has installed. I checked all forum posts and removed existing AF. I tried again, with the same result.
