  I came across the solution. In addition to download creative cloud, I needed to return to the site and download the trials for the programs I want to use - Photoshop and Lightroom. Once I did, I was in business. Save bad if this was done in light on the download site.

  When I try to load Adobe Premiere Pro I am presented with the following statement:

Please do not attempt to install Direct x except in these operating systems. CTX is designed to work with Windows 95 or later and Windows NT 4.0 and later only. This error message can also occur if the material is not compatible with this version of Direct X.

  I loaded the entire collection video V2.6, including Adobe Premier Pro, my portable 32 bit and it loads perfectly. The laptop, however, is not powerful enough for handling serious editing. If it wasn't for the above statement of DirectX I would think that the problem is that Adobe Premiere Pro must simply not load on a 64-bit computer. In addition, in the near future, I want to upgrade to the latest Adobe CS4 Master Collection but must first work with Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5

  Increase memory 16 GB on XP 64 with 1.5 will not help at all. Increase memory on Win7-64 will be useful, but not with 1.5. You must upgrade to CS4 for the benefit of that.
