  Uninstall the current version of LR, you have it installed, download LR 4.4.1 installer and install it. I don't know what causes your problem with the update, but that a full installer for 4.4.1 can operate without any problems.

  We have solved this problem.  It turns out that the installation and configuration process failed set TNS_ADMIN, which is referenced by HFM system environment variable.  Once the variable has been set and HFM has restarted the problem has been resolved.

• I posted a question on Oct. 10 and tried to answer, but got "error on page" so I write again.

  My question was to do a restore operation and I lost the use of the USBs and therefore the mouse.

  I did a scan of the system with Kaspersky Pure and found Trojans. After that, I was finally able to Undo my last restoration, but he always re-did not allow my USB.

  Windows 'seen' the card and a message appears to warn me about the "found USB controller" but not "install successful mssg.

  Is it possible that the problem is hardware related? Maybe a change of motherboard might fix this?

  I'm running a Dell Dimension 2400 (I purchases. back in 2004, I think) I had XP home included and upgraded to XP pro. I'm still all original disks.

  BTW, I also deleted the usbhub.sys, usbport.sys, usbuhci.sys, c:\windows\system32\usbui.dll and c:\windows\system32\hccoin.dll and re-installed a new copy without result.

  If I can't find a solution I just re - install everything from scratch, but I was trying to avoid the drudgery of your time as well as having to track down all the original disks.

  4. in the Windows Update dialog box, next to the details of the error, review the error code for the update has failed.
