You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Using another PC, download the app from the following link and save it in your downloads folder.

    PC login now

Once the download is complete, open your download folder and double-click on the installer - this will result in another file, which is the disk image (.) ISO) you need to burn to a blank CD.

Now, you will need to use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank CD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.

When the disk has been created, shut down the PC you can not log on, press the ESC key as soon as you press the power button to access the Start Menu, insert the CD, select Boot Options (usually f9), use the arrow keys to select the CD/DVD drive and press enter - peut also have you to "Press any key" to boot from the CD if asked to.

Follow the instructions on the guide here to remove the current password.

    Hello

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.

If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

  • How to install the 32-bit software on my Windows 7 Home Basic 64-bit?

I use the family Windows 7 Edition Basic 64-bit. Now I want to install a 32-bit program (software of Rockwell RSView32) which works well on Windows XP Service Pack 2, but the installation of the program Wizard does not open in my Windows 7 Home Basic 64-bit. I tried the shooter of compatibility issues. Even he couldn't help me.

What should I do to install RSView 32? Can someone help me?

    Thank you...

Usually 32-bit software installs correctly on a 64-bit system, however, some applications are unspecific and if so, even in compatibility mode is unlikely to succeed

my windows Vista Home Basic Edition does not show the Office when I log in. it shows only a green screen. I tried all the options in F8 mode with no result. How can I fix it without losing any information on the hard drive?

    Hello

1 - do you mean that you get the green screen even in safe mode?

2 did you recent hardware or software changes to your computer before this problem?

If you are unable to start desktop even in safe mode, then you try to perform the verification and startup repair.

You cannot uninstall a running operating system.  The best you can do is wipe the hard drive and start over, but which will also remove all programs and documents.

  • Windows Vista Home Basic 64-bit

I'm looking for customizable configurations, and I see that you offer with 8 GB of RAM, but it takes a 64-bit system to support it. At the same time, the only option that explicitly says it's 64-bit is the Business edition of Vista, which I certainly don't need. Is it possible to specify a command with Windows Vista Home Basic 64-bit?

Yes, I know what I'm talking about and I need the power, but none of the administrative nonsense associated with the addition of the company. Wikipedia:

«Similar to Windows XP Home Edition, Home Basic targets budget conscious users not requiring advanced do not support supports for domestic use.» ... Home Basic supports one processor physical, but with multiple cores. 64-bit Home Basic supports up to 8 GB of RAM. ... Comparable to Windows XP Professional and Windows XP Edition Tablet PC, Windows Vista Business Edition targets the business market. It includes all the features of the basic home edition with the exception of Parental control and the Windows Vista Standard theme. This edition can join and participate in a Windows Server domain. It includes Internet Information Services, fax support, Rights Management Services client, Encrypting File System, image system and recovery, offline files, backup a server to single user Remote Desktop , capabilities of collaboration ad hoc P2P cliché support that allows you to access previous versions of files, Tablet PCsupport and other features of business-oriented management. Vista Business edition supports up to two physical processors. 64-bit Enterprise supports 128 GB of RAM. »

I am interested in a configuration with a high power, dual-core processor and 8 GB of RAM with the cache of 2 GB drive in addition to that, among other things, large volume, an intense audio processing. None of the additional costs related to the company are things that I need, but I need a 64 bit system to exploit the 8 GB of RAM. Frankly, I really don't want to pay $79 just for the support of RAM, I don't want to deal with it through Microsoft, and while the basic edition is apparently not a Windows 7 free upgrade, I can cross that bridge when I come to it.

    My questions:

    • If I set up a machine with > 3 GB installed memory, will there by default be configured with the 64 bit version of the edition of Windows, I chose?
    • If so, is there a cost difference? There is no difference in cost between the registered versions 32 - and 64-bit Enterprise edition.
    • If not, is it possible to make this simple change to my order? Levono is even included in Windows Vista Home Basic 64-bit?

  • I have Windows Vista Home Basic installed but I also have to setup for ultimate diskettes. I can still improve?

I have Home Basic installed but I also have to setup for ultimate diskettes.  I can still improve? How '.

original title: without any time update, how do I install Ultimate

Not without a product key for ultimate.  If you have the product key for Ultimate, you can then use the ultimate dvd to upgrade.  If both are 32-bit or both are 64-bit, you can start Windows, insert the dvd into the drive and the splash screen click install now.  Enter your product key.  When asked choose install upgrade.

If you have 32-bit basic family and 64 bit Ultimate Windows you must start the computer with the dvd and then proceed as above, except that YOU choose Custom Install when asked.  In this case your programs and data will be deleted in a folder Windows.old and you need to reinstall your programs and data.  Register files and settings with Windows Easy Transfer before you start.  Once the installation is complete and you have reinstalled your programs, run Windows Easy Transfer to retrieve your files and settings.

You can buy is no longer a key using Anytime Upgrade in Vista.  This program is interrupted.

Remember that Vista Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium and Ultimate out of Microsoft support on 10 April and there will be more updates, including critical security patches after that date.  Only Vista business and company will continue to receive updates.  You might consider this a good time to upgrade to Windows 7.

I've had Windows 7 for about 2 weeks now and I'm just in love. An annoying problem that I ask here is that the mouse pointer suddenly becomes very big and it's really a pain because it also becomes big in games, etc... I tried to use the easy access in Control Panel by checking the box for the extra mouse pointer roughly, it becomes larger and after unchecking it becomes the mouse pointer it is 'normal' large size. • Download link for Home Basic 64 - bit Service Pack 1 of Windows 7 required

I am using windows 7 Home Basic supplied with the laptop when I bought (Windows 7 Home Basic 64 - bit Service Pack 1).   I do not have the image of the file. Can someone please provide the download link?

For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.

It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.

Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:
