    Hi Jcheese,

    I happen to have a small script that does this.  Just pass the index of the group whose strings to sort.

    Call ChanSort (1)

    Void ChanSort (GroupIdx)
    Dim i, swapped, ChNo1, ChNo2
    "Until the GroupName() bubble sort is finished
    Swapped = False
    FOR i = 1 TO GroupChnCount (GroupIdx)-1
    ChNo1 = CNoXGet (GroupIdx, i)
    ChNo2 = CNoXGet (GroupIdx, i + 1)
    IF StrComp (UCase (ChnName (ChNo1)), UCase (ChnName (ChNo2))) > 0 THEN
    Call ChnMove (ChNo2, Groupidx, i)
    Swapped = True
    END IF ' Name (i) and Name(i+1) are to be swapped
    NEXT ' I
    Loop until NOT (swapped)
    End Sub ' ChanSort()

    Add in the order you want them.  There is no way I know to sort the list of recipients, once the beneficiaries have been added and no particular reason of to do.  There is no guarantee that your e-mail program will maintain order when sending the message, either.  It may be likely, but not definitive. • BlackBerry of30 arrange bookmarks in alphabetical order

    How to change the order in which bookmarks appear when you select browser bookmarks?

    I read the guide of the Z30 user looking for this information.  'Favorites' section has instructions for making and watching a bookmarks, changing and eliminating.  But there is no instructions on how to put bookmarks in order.  I also spent more time that I should have trying to figure out on my own (when I should have looked at my nephew baseball game) does not.

    I think that the system adds automatically just in the bottom of the list in the order that they were entered.  My torch let me put in a logical order.

    OH Yes, I see that the more recent used at the top of the list. I never noticed that.

    I open my browser to display more recent use and I use the same little more often.

  • I have Vista, and in my records, I would like to see my records of first ranking in alphabetical order then the files in alphabetical order. I can't find how to do this.

    Folders in alphabetical order
    Files in alphabetical order

    When you are in an individual file, you can set to sort by alphabetical order first with folders and files then by simply clicking on the name header (you may need to click twice because the first time it can sort in reverse alphabetical order).  Then, it will stay like that (although if you add new files or folders, they can go down the bottom of the list, regardless of the name).

    Maybe if you reset your files it will help (although I don't know - that's really not why).  Go to start / Control Panel / folder Options / View and click Reset Folders.  This will reset all records to their default state and since alphabetical is a defect it can work for this.  I can't test it myself because all my folders and files are already in alphabetical order.

    Good luck and I hope this works - but after back and let us know anyway. Lorien - a - MCSE/MCSA/network + / A +.

  • In Fox 15.0, how do I easily put my favorites in alpha order, all I see in the help is too old?

    HE wants to help can be easily put in Favorites in alphabetical order. I have all the files, just a long list of bookmarks. I am a novice in computerese, so I need very simple step by step instructions.

    I looked at the help section for this problem, but I found it was for older versions of Firefox, a lot of threads that have been closed and the references to the addons that are no longer available. I have Firefox 15.0 at present. Have a PC, not Mac and have Vista as an operating system.

    Things will be easier to find if you create some folders to categorize.

    To sort by alphabetical name, open the Bookmarks window with "Show all bookmarks" in the bookmarks menu, in the toolbar, choose views > sort > sort by name, then A > Z for ascending or Z > A to order descending. You can also organize the bookmarks in the order you want by dragging and dropping them in this window.

    Ferrière

    Hello Ferds,

    In Windows Explorer, simply type an asterisk in the search engine to return all the files and folders in the folder parent.  You can click on any column heading to sort the results in this column.

    Mr. Doug in New Jersey

    It is a good workaround (thanks Mr Wizard) If you want to view the files in this way - but the procedure does not correct how Explorer files are sorted in the records themselves. And you will have to do it every time you viewed a folder because the search procedure would not automatically from window to window transfer and may not be assigned to do.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

    In any folder, in Windows Explorer or my computer, you can sort on
    any desired column by clicking the header of this column. Click it
    a second time to reverse the descending ascending or
    Vice versa.

    Then click on the word 'name '.
