    Hello

You can use this Recovery Partition to reinstall Vista to his new condition with the right edition of Vista.

This recovery partition was photographed on your hard drive by HP during the manufacturing of the factory.

You press F11 on startup to start the process of recovering back to factory settings.

Here is the information about HP.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/document?DocName=c00809678&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&product=18703

If the recovery partition is damaged, you can buy HP's Vista recovery discs for a small fee.

If HP's Vista recovery disks, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

  • Use the Express Upgrade product key to Windows 7 Edition upgrade Home premium to Windows 7 Professional.

Original title: Win7 pro anytime upgrade/Win XPmode.

I just installed Win7 64 bit Home Premium (Retail) on a new PC.

There are a few applications that works properly (or at all) on the new Win7 64 bit PC. (they ran OK on win7/32 and XP/32)

I wanted to try and install on win7/64 PC XPMODE and run these applications from there, when I tried to install XPmode on the win7/64 home premium, the only choice who would have even tried to install was Win XPmode 64 bit (but of course, all this was doomed to failure because XPmode requires Win7 Pro).

I have a 32 bit (Retail) win7 which has been upgraded with anytime upgrade to Win7 Pro.

Can I use the Anytime Upgrade prod. key at least temporarily (I know that this license is for 1 PC ONLY) update the new Win7/64 Win7 Pro, install XPmode 64 bit to see if these applications will run on a 64-bit XP?

If it works I'll tell you how to disable the worm on the old PC Pro and use it on the new PC.

solve this //it said to re install - and I deleated and installed xp but I want vista fixed pcdiden was equipped with disc?

    Hello

If Vista was preinstalled on your computer, read this information:

There are several methods to reinstall Vista.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

It may still be there after installation of XP

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Your Vista license key is attached at the bottom of the laptop.

  • Windows Vista product key Dublicate

Therefore, a quick question. I installed Windows Vista on another laptop years ago. The hard drive and laptop have been terminated and destroyed. There is therefore no chance that the OS is still there. I needed an OS for my computer, and didn't have that copy of Vista, so I installed, thought it would be perfect. After all, only one copy is in use at any time. It won't let me activate. Am I violating the terms of Service, or is there a solution? Also, I always will be able to use the operating system if I can't activate.

    Thank you

    Hello

If the computer/laptop comes with the system of operating Windows preinstalled (Dell, HP, Acer, etc.) or is licensed OEM System Builders, this product key provided with your computer/laptop to the OEM license preinstalled and is not transferable.

OEM license/product key (systems of operating pre-installed on Dell, HP, etc.) and the license OEM System Builders are related to the first machine it is installed on and dies when machine who dies.

Only retail Operating System license that you buy and install yourself, are allowed to be transferred to another machine.

And retail licenses also can be installed on a machine at one time.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the transfer above a retail license.

  • Can I install Windows 7 product key on office and reinstall it on the new laptop when it arrives?

Hello everyone, I had to order a laptop for school. But it is still not there, so I had to install windows 7 and office 2010 on my old computer at home to do my school work. When my laptop is here, can I reinstall XP on my old computer and put my copy of windows 7 on the new laptop? Or is the product key now linked to my old computer?

If you have purchased commercial versions, then you're OK.

If you have bought OEM Windows 7 and activated, then the license is locked to the old PC (although you might try to discuss your case with MS)
