I can not burn an Audio disc with Media Player 11

My system = XP (SP3), 3 GB of RAM, Intel CPU G620

Media Player 11 will not burn a playlist.

I dragged a list of MP3 files to a playlist for burning.  However, when I click on the button burn, WMP11 starts to burn apparently the first track on the list but then stops at 96%. I tried at different speeds, the media and even a CD - RW and the same thing happens.
Curiously, that WMP11 is burning track 1, the progress bar indicates "finalize disc". This would seem a strange message because it is just the first piece of 10 and so has not yet reached the end of the list.
After the burn hangs at 96% for a few seconds, I get the error message;
"Windows media player cannot burn the files to the CD. Check that the disc is clean and not damaged. If necessary, select a slower recording speed or try a different brand of blank discs.
HOWEVER, I also have NERO 7 and I have absolutely no problems burning the same Audio disc.
It's extremely frustrating and I would appreciate some advice on this.

I decided to go back to WMP 9 and then reinstalling WMP11

Now, everything works as it should!
However, I found an absolutely terrible navigation in WMP11 - sometimes I don't know where to go for a task. Nero - although his gripes - is a breeze in comparison.

  • I can't burn my CD on Windows Media Player error "connect a burner and restart the player.

I have a bunch of files music m4a songs bought on iTunes that are on the Windows Media Player. I insert a blank CD, and he refuses to burn the songs. I put it in my laptop, go to the option burn and it says "connect a burner and restart the player ' and doesn't read that there is a CD in there, even if there is. Even if I put all the songs I want in it, it won't work. I need help.

No problem, at least it's a step forward that it is not only the media player.

At this point if the CD-ROM drive does not at all, it could be a couple of things.

    1. First of all, just make sure under the folders under the view tab Options, that the "hide empty drives" is not selected. It could make your CD-ROM writer hidden just because there is no data in there at the moment.
    2. The drive appears not could also be that it is disconnected, but it's not terribly likely.
    3. Check Device Manager to see if the CD drive is listed, and if she has any warnings associated with it. You can open the Device Manager by performing a search in the search box of the start menu.  Locate the CD drive in the list, and then double-click it to view the status. He can say everything is fine, or can provide details on all issues.  Also, while you're here, you can check an updated driver. But this brings me to the next point...
    4. If the driver he is already up to date, it is interesting to watch your your model computer manufacturer Web site see if they have a newer version. Sometimes Device Manager detects outdated drivers and uses, when the manufacturer's website has something more recent.

  • Can not play .3gp files in windows media player

How can I play 3jjp may not work on my computer

    Hello

Are you referring to the .3gp format?

You will need a codec to play the video file. A codec is a software to compress or decompress a digital media file, such as a song or a video. Windows Media Player and other programs use the codec to play and create digital media files.

Method 1 : you can check the link to see the guidelines on the issue.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/codecs-frequently-asked-questions

Method 2 : you can use the link and check if you get the necessary codec to download depending on the type of file, you try to read.
    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx

Method 3 : you can also use your favorite search engine to download and install a codec based on the file type, you must use.

  • I can't burn a CD in windows media player. I use a CD - R disc.

I tried the key help & support and have done everything that he told me to do and I don't know what to do next.

    Hi Linda,.

I would like to inform you that the CD - R discs are readable. It is not possible to burn inside information. To burn a CD, you need a CD - RW disc, which means that it is readable and writable.

I hope this information is useful.
