I can scan from the printer wireless on my I Pad
I have a printer of HP Deskjet 3050 a all-in-one wireless and I would like to scan on my I Pad 2?
You can scan from your iPad via the wireless network using the HP Printer Control application:
The application is available for download from the App Store, be sure to search iPhone apps as the application compatible with the iPad, but isn't an application native iPad.

Hi I have problems with the new operating system for sierra on my macbook pro. I can manually scan from my computer to the printer and can print but when I try to scan from the printer, an error message on the printer, that is the counl scan could not be completed, make sure that the computer is connected to the printer and then try again. on the computer, the message is communication Scanner cannot be established make sure your device is turned on check the connection and make sure that your network is working properly if these conditions are correct restart the device and try to scan the image. I just had a llok in HP Utility under the menu fax and scan of the computer is not activated. The message asked me to go to support, but I downloaded the drivers twice and still it will not activate the scan of the computer. What am I missing to make this work.thanks for your help
Scan of the computer can be activated that the current software was conducted before Sierra.
Software update should be available in the next few weeks to fully support the Sierra, for now just start analysis of your Mac.
I use an iMac end of 2012 and spin the Mavericks. Envy is connected to my WiFi.
I was never able to get the urge to turn on a scan from the printer. When I press on the analysis on the printer, I get 3 options and choose 'computer '. I can get some information from introduction to scanning the computer. He says this analysis for computer is activated automatically when the printer is first set up and I need to have installed the HP printing software. This means to me that something has not been properly Setup and I can't work it out. I just updated my software as a result of Mavericks. I regularly print to the printer and am able to activate a scan of my computer.
I read a few posts on the software uninstallation. If necessary, I don't know what needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled and how I could do that.
Can anyone help?
HI - my apologies for the slow response.
Would it not possible to check to see if "Scan to Computer" is enabled in the utility application from HP? This application must be in the folder Applications/Hewlett-Packard.
Once the application opens, you may need to select your device if it is not already selected. The configuration option "Scan to Computer" should appear at the bottom of the document window (see attachment "Utility HP - selected ENVY").
Try to open the "Scan to Computer" configuration item and display settings. Please refer to attachments "utility HP - Scan to computer do not activated" and "Utility HP - compatible computer Scan" for what that might look like if the feature is enabled or disabled.
Let me know what you see.
Also - since your connection to the printer on a wireless network, have you tried to move the printer closer to the router or wireless access point wireless? I'm curious to know if there may be some intermittent network connectivity that is to interrupt the function computer scanning. I would try to move the printer right next to the wireless router access point / wireless to see if that helps the issue.
I will continue to work on this issue for you to get the help you need.
I recently bought the new HP Photosmart 5510 all in one - and I am not able to scan from my printer to my computer.
I am however able to scan by launching the scan of the computer. I talked to HP customer earlier this evening and we ran printing + scan doctor and can't find any problems.
I am running Windows 7-64 bit and that you have installed my wireless printer using the Installation CD supplied with the printer today.
I could not finish troubleshooting with the technician that I talked to because I had to go to work. The person that I spoke with proposed possibly the full functionality of software downloaded from the hp.com site, which I'm happy to do, but I think that it is useless, because I have the CD of installation here. (The rep that I talked to was very nice, but I prefer not to have to uninstall and reinstall if it is not necessary)
Because as I mentioned above, everything works perfectly and I am able to scan - but not directly from the printer itself.
When I try to scan from my printer to my computer an error message appears on the control panel of the printer indicating that: there is no scan destination options of analysis chosen / no..
However, I can't find anywhere with my HP software where I could add / make sure that the destinations were there. (As I could on my other printers. (IE. By the solution Center)
This printer does not appear to be a solution center that I could find and the scanner installed with the CD icon doesn't give me any options regarding changing the settings of the parser
1. the Hp Photosmart 5510 does not have the capacity to scan from the printer control panel?
2 OR the CD installation provided with my printer only has the base drivers as the agent of tech support suggested? Which means to scan from my printer I need to download drivers for your hp Web site?
3. or is the problem because of something else entirely?
Thanks for your help!
Follow the steps below to uninstall and reinstall the printer.
1. open Control Panel
2. click on uninstall a program
3 uninstall the Photosmart 6510 in the list
4 restart your computer
5. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player
6 download the drivers and full software functionality, and then reinstall the printer.
After the Update September 1, 2016 at the HP6500A, the scan from the printer to the computer software has become inoperative. Printer cannot detect the MacBook Pro. Can you help me?
You might have better luck using the image transfer application on the pre installed in your folder scanner Applications.
I only just bought a 5530 want all-in-one printer and it gives me problems from the outset.
It installed fine, but when I try to scan from the printer to the computer I get the following window will appear on the computer:
Which I think should happen. In my view, that he should start the correct software without having me to do anything.
But even if I click on the "HP Scan", the software does not start, but it does not save the scan in the default location. I thought it was supposed to launch the software and allow me to choose what happened then.
I can boot the computer software and scan as I want, but I think that to happen automatically if I scan form the printer to the computer (the printer).
Someone at - it suggestions?
I had tried most of the steps that you propose before displaying the original question, but thinaks for suggesting it is useful to check.
I managed to fix it myself.
Basically the pop-up window was left during a previous installation of HP hardware. Even though I used the uninstall program provided, it was not completely uninstalled (annoying). So I uninstalled the new printer and then went through the registry and deleted any reference to previous material, the new printer, any other hardware HP, etc... I do not get into the registry to do this kind of thing but if the 'correct' uninstall program do not do so I have no choice.
I then installed the printer again and it works fine. Now when I press the button it scans directly to the computer of choice and Windows Explorer appears to show the new file.
If someone else is a similar problem and plan to do what I did then I have to remind you of the dangers of editting the registry...
Thanks for having a look at this problem, your suggestions are appreciated.

By the sounds of your post, it only appears that all background programs running on your Windows 7 computer is originally interference when trying to scan to your HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-all-in-one printer. Before the reactivation of these background programs can I please have you try the following steps.
Enable the computer analysis:
1. click on the HP Printer Wizard on your computer desktop icon:
2. click on Actions of the Scanner, then Manage scanning to computer.
3. click on Activate to activate the scan function. If the scan function is already enabled, click disable, and then click Activate again.
4. on the printer control panel, press Scan (), support on computerand then tap the name of the computer that is displayed.
If the scan of the computer working now, please activate your start-up services through the 'step 5: reactivate MSCONFIGthe steps I described in my post above.
Once Msconfig services are activated, try to scan from the front panel of your printer to see if your computer is always present.
Please let me know if this procedure works for you. Good luck!
Although I can scan a document from my laptop I can't do it from the printer control panel.
I tried following the instructions in the Support Center
"HP Deskjet 3070 e - all-in - One Printer Series - how Scan: from the control panel" but I didn't know where I could: ' activate the scan to the computer connection (Windows only).
Anywhere there is no mention of "Scan" under settings B3070 only in a separate file, HP Scan on my system...
Thanks for your help so far. I now have much more HP files/programs that I started with. What can delete and to be able to continue to print wireless & scan of the computer, or maybe I should ask what files do I need and I can uninstall.

You can find the steps listed below:
I have my printer wireless for a year and all of a sudden it stopped working. The printer says that the network connection is good without error. But the PC does not see it and says that it is offline. I restarted the printer. Restarted the pc. Connect the printer cable and it works fine. Reset the wireless upward. When I unplug the cable from the printer, even once the pc can't find it. I've looked everywhere and can't find how to solve this problem.
My pc is running windows 7.
I finally solve the problem by removing the printer from the computer and uninstall all related software and put it back, from scratch. This seems to have solved the problem.

I have two PCs running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, and Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit on a network home.
The Home Premium pc is connected via a USB cable and prints and scans OK. The ultimate is wifi and scan OK, but do not print.
If I try to print a document from the ultimate pc, by selecting the network printer, the printer icon appears in the system tray, but no printing occurs. Mouse on the icon of the printer displays "1 document pending".
I used printing HP and doctor Scan and uninstalled and re installed all the drivers and software HP, nothing helps.
Any help will be appreciated.
Hello @oxley0cjy , welcome to the forums
I understand that you can print and scan of your computer USB connected but cannot print from your PC connected wireless, however, can sweep her successfully. The print spooler may be necessary to restart, among other reasons.
I see you tried some troubleshooting already, without success. I suggest to try all the steps that are listed in the guide below and you should be upward and printing again later.

Is this a form of rights issue administrator/access, I wonder because he is obviously not a driver issue or a printer.
Thank you very much in advance for any wisdom.
You know @Scarguts, I have to be honest, I don't know if it is a question of rights, or if there is something wrong with the destination of your choice. I choose a new destination and try to scan the image. You can make this change in the printer Assistant software.
This will help isolate the problem.
