I CAN'T ACCESS MY LAPTOP TOSHIBA (WINDOWS VISTA BASIC) BECAUSE OF MY PASSWORD BEING REJECTED BY WINDOWS

I bought a Toshiba Satellite at Wal Mart in 2009 (3 years ago). I created a guest account and my personal account (host) to access. However, all the important stuff are in the user account from the host. My toshiba laptop running windows vista Basic. It has been 4 weeks as it kept rejecting my user password. Moreover, I do not CHANGE MY P.WORD OR MODIFY IT. I had virus problems and since then I can not access my laptop through my user account. It seems that I'm a homeowner, my key to the door can not open the door and am now sleeping outside. Help please

I just got a laptop with windows 7 on it and I want to connect to my other PC for it, they are on the same network through a router. the PC can see and access the laptop without asking for a user name and password but the laptop cannot access the PC because it asks me a username and password that I don't know.

If someone could answer this question, it would be great.

    Hello
    Maybe this can help.

Win7 when configured on the peer-to-peer network has three types of configurations of sharing.

Group residential network = only works between Win 7 computers. This type of configuration, it is very easy to entry level users to start sharing network.

Working network = fundamentally similar to previous methods of sharing that allow you to control what, how and to whom the records would be shared with.

    Public share
= network Public (as Internet Café) in order to reduce security risks.

Make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

    General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq.html#trusted
Please note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

  • Vista Antivirus a scam and a virus itself? I can't access my laptop at all now them! Help!

I couldn't access internet because the Antivirus Vista kept blocking me.  He said I had all kinds of virus and you need to get rid of them.  He said that I could go on, but it would be dangerous for my laptop.  I didn't buy any agreement at the time so I pressed this button.  He took me in circles so that the only way that I could access my internet was for the purchase contract.  AND NOW I CAN NOT AT ALL ON MY LAPTOP!  I'm on my home desktop version.

How can I get rid of this?  Is it really a virus in itself?  I lost all my information stored on my laptop?

When I turn it on I hear a high-pitched noise and flickering icons that used I can access.  In fact, I can't access anything whatsoever.  It wouldn't start even down when I do CTRL ALT DELETE.  I actually turn off with the same results that I boot up (flickering of the icons that will let me open anything).

Did I just buy a scam, but also a virus?  Is there a phone number or anyway for me to get my laptop back up for delete AND GET MY MONEY BACK?

For those of you thinking of buying this, I wouldn't NOT SUGGEST.

  • Laptop Toshiba Windows 8 failure to configure the updates... Returning from endless loop

I bought a new laptop (Toshiba Satellite C55-A5281) with window 8.  Once through the new normal computer set up, I saw that there were 108 updates for Windows 8.  Yes, it's a hundred and eight!  OK, may as well do before loading anything on the new computer, right?

Hours and hours later... I was always in an infinite loop.  I've been through all this hit F8 once forcing them to close and restart upward... then made the deal of refreshing to try to fix.  Then, I started the whole update process on and got the same thing... Hours later, once again.  I actually let it run all night.  Same ugly loop once again.

Maybe doing 102 updates at the same time, it is not a good idea.  But I have no idea of those who to try to do first.  Or exactly how just a little at a time.  And if I have to do one at a time, and each takes hours, I can't live that long...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I knew before Windows 8 would be a challenge... but unfortunately it seems a lot harder than I expected.

I did the full restore... and then did a full reformat reset it all back at the factory.

Then I did some updates at once instead of 102 all at once.  It took forever, but seems to work.  Then I got a notice of update to Windows 8.1.  I did that as well (took hours) and everything seems to work now.  I have probably 20 hours of downloading (and wait) and the download time (and waiting) with this.  I hope it's over and I can go on living it normal.

    Hi WillieReed,
Thanks for posting on the Microsoft community!
Do you see the error codes/messages when you try to connect?

    Here are some solutions: -.

    1. ensure that Microsoft account services are running, go to the page of the service status.

2 reset your password from Microsoft
To reset your password, or get help with a password and other problems with your Microsoft account, go to reset your password.

    3. check the length of your password
Make sure that your Microsoft account password length is not more than 16 characters. The current maximum limit is clearly indicated during your initial account registration Microsoft upward, but may not be clear during a password change. The password change process to enter more than 16 characters, but your account will not accept anything more than 16 characters. You can change your password from Microsoft by clicking on change your password. (You may need to connect to your Microsoft account before you can access this Web page.)

    4. get on your Microsoft account to check if its been blocked or pirate by following the link below

I have a new computer (Windows 7) Dell, a new printer (HP 3050 has) and a laptop with Windows XP.  I can't get my laptop to print.  I installed the software.  Help

    original title: Networking

You use the HP 3050 has as a wireless printer, or have you connected it to the Windows 7 computer via USB?

You have a wireless router?  What brand and model?

Assuming the printer is wireless, what happened when you put the CD in the Windows XP laptop?  Although these printers can be installed manually, it is much easier to let the installer of HP to do.  This is page 3 of the "reference Guide" (emphasis added):

You can share the printer HP Deskjet with other computers which are also connected to your home network. If the HP Deskjet is already connected to your network home and installed on a computer on the network, for each additional computer you install the HP Deskjet software. During the installation of the software, the software will automatically detect the HP Deskjet printer on the network. Because the HP Deskjet is already connected to your network, there is no need to configure it again when you install the HP Deskjet software on other computers.

I installed an application under virtual pc and I use the application and generate files. I can't access the files with the windows Explorer 7 - and windows Explorer cannot find in a search. I know they are there but they are "virtual".

Here are two ways to get Windows 7 to access files created in Windows XP Mode:

    1. the XP Mode virtual machine automatically assign a drive letter to each of the disks to the Windows 7 computer.  You can store files directly on these discs.
    2. you can share disk of the XP mode virtual machine and access it as a network drive in Windows 7. Boulder computer Maven

    Hello

My laptop Toshiba Satellite L670-BT2N25, running Windows 7 message "System error" on a cooling problem, advising the immediate closure and return for service.  It seems to come on 10 to 20 minutes after coming out of hibernation or restart. Second series of apparitions that seems to follow a windows update that makes me think it's a software problem. The machine is clean, clean physically so not due to dust or poor maintenance.

Pop-up - message is constant and annoying. Machine feels hot anywhere. Never stopped because they say it would make if he got to the hot wire.

I do not play, video or use heavily for long periods... no trend about the programs you are running or use.

    Appreciate any help

I had this happen to me, and is not actually a problem with the cooling fan. There is a problem with Toshiba is going to happen if you have an update waiting in the Toshiba Service Station. Open this program and update everything he tells you. This is what fixed my problem.
