Hello ErikG_787,
Have you checked for viruses or malware on your computer? Just remove any drive Windows should not give you this kind of symptoms.
You can download the Microsoft Safety Scanner and run to search for viruses and malware. Download from the link below:

I want to try windows updates to see if this will help, but whenever I click on the button to update windows on the start menu, nothing happens. I tried searching for the program to see if I can open it another way, but can't find it. If I click on windows update and then nothing happened. I have windows vista home.

Hey ElizabethSlater,
Try to run a full scan with the Microsoft Safety Scanner to make sure that nothing is found.
Try also to install the latest drivers from your computer manufacturer's website. If you have difficulty to locate the website of your computer manufacturer or the drivers on their page, please provide your computer brand and model in your next reply. If you have built your computer you need visit the site of the manufacturer of each piece of hardware to get the latest driver.
Once the drivers have been installed, try to restart your computer, and then test to see if the same problem occurs.
Hope that helps.

Why I can not access the control panel of my E1000 router?
http://192.168.1.1/ cannot be displayed when I click on it, as if the page does not exist. http://my.e1000 does not work either.
My router has often also well connection problems when the laptop users are complaining that they are "connected but have limited connectivity. In reality, they have no connectivity. They don't have internet access on their browsers or games. Resetting seems to be the only thing that never solves this problem and now, despite my network allegedly called "Neil", he calls his car "Neil 2" and has no password. " I can't change it because I can't in my router settings or the other!
Then Yes. In a few words, it's all kind of bork. Does anyone know what the problem with him?
Have you tried 30-30-30 reset? If not, here is the procedure. Be sure to unplug everything except your computer from the router.

the user will not erase & isn't in Control Panel users
If I go to C:\Documents and Settings, there is a user that I never had and want to get rid of. But this user has never been and is not present in Control Panel > users. If I try to remove it from C:\Documents and Settings, it starts with a box to confirm deleting file saying 'the file 'xxxxx' contains items whose name is too long for the trash. Do you want to permanently delete it? "I click Yes or Yes to all.
Then he quickly paged home with a box titled error deleting file or folder that says "cannot delete the XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX: cannot find the specified file." Be sure to only specify the path and the correct name. I click on one button, OK, and I'm done. It will not erase. So I renamed this user ' broken but will not erase "other users on this list are administrator, Administrator.JEFF - A40763A256, all users, all Users.WINDOWS, by default, the User.Window default user, guest, Jeff.JEFF - A40763A256 (me). Not sure why mine has this weird kind of thing next to my name (?). In any case, I guess this isn't a problem.
If I look in Control Panel > user accounts, I see that Jeff (Administrator) and comments - the guest account is disabled. These are the only two users ever.
You can manage your startup to find out why your computer is experiencing difficulties of start and stop. Certainly I would test the hard drive.
Start > run > msconfig [Enter]
This will open the System Configuration utility. Look under the Startup tab and find the likely culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, apply and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but next time you do, you will get a dialog box saying that you have used the utility. Just check the box that says in effect, "don't mind to this subject again".
Important - do not use the System Configuration utility to stop the process. Use rather Start > Run > services.msc [Enter] and stop all services unless you really, really know what you're doing.

I have a new laptop and you downloaded the complete HP software features. The test printing and scanning seem to work correctly. However I can't find how to access the Control Panel on my desk. He has not created an icon in my windows8 start pages.
I have a button that says HP Printer Control allowsme to buy ink and my printer is offline. There is no scan options.
How to access the control of printing/scanning panel full or, better yet, bind it to the control of the printer button.
Thank you
Hi SaraLK,
I can help you find the digitization program. In the start screen or screen of tile, without clicking anything that this, start typing the HP. You should see the Officejet 6500 a, or even click on files and it should appear. When you click the Officejet 6500 has the help of the printer opens, you can also click with the right button on the icon and PIN to the taskbar so that it is always available right form the office.
Here is another way, you can create shortcuts taskbar Windows 8 for your favorite programs. Please take no offense to the referenced site, it helps to make everything easier! I use it all the time.

My question is how can I solve this problem, I need to enter the CP to change certain settings for the games, but my WIndows 8 was not preinstalled, so I can't access the BIOS for a reason to change the primary GPU.Hi Tarik,
Please provide an opportunity to help Microsoft Community.
Before you start with the troubleshooting steps, I would ask you to answer the questions below:
- What is the number and the model of the computer?
- When you open Device Manager you are able of NVidia graphics card under the graphics card?
I checked online based on the error message that you provided and it seems that this problem is caused if you have the drivers for the graphics card from NVidia are exceeded.
The first step in troubleshooting, I would ask uninstall you the drivers of graphics NVidia from the programs list in the control panel.
See the link below for more information on how to uninstall the drivers from Control Panel NVidia graphics cards.
http://www.nvidia.com/object/IO_13955.html
Once you uninstall the drivers, visit the download link of the manufacturer provided below and download the latest drivers. Based on the model number of the graphics card, download and then install the drivers. Restart the computer after installing the drivers.
