I can't access the App Store on my iMac running OS10.11.2

I don't know if this problem is related to the 10.11.2 upgrade. When I click the App Store icon in the Dock or the Apple menu drop-down window empty arrives with a spinning wheel of gear in the top left corner and will continue indefinitely. There is no error message in the window.

Have you tried opening the App Store in another user account?

You have any type of firewall/antivirus that could block the Internet connection?

    Hello

The reason for not being able to connect to the iTunes store may be due to the "hosts file" blocking the iTunes Store, or it can also be caused by security software, most likely, it might be Norton Firewall.
    Step 1:

Note: Please make sure that you enable the antivirus/firewall software after the test to keep your computer protected.

    Hello there jacquelinefrombburg,

Welcome to the communities of Apple Support! It is a great place to get help with connection problems to the App Store and access other applications on your iPad. I know that there are some applications that I rely on every day, so I'll do my utmost to help find a solution.

As point of departure, we will you force him to close all open applications on your iPad. Once you've done that, go ahead and reboot your iPad. Once it is up and running, test on the App Store to see if you are able to access. Here are some useful resources to guide you through the process described above:

Force a nearby application on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

If you still have questions, see the steps in this article. Even though the title says iTunes Store, the recommendations would still apply to the App Store.

If you cannot connect to the iTunes Store

As a step in isolation, it would be wise to check if you have problems with the App Store and other applications while using a Wi - Fi connection and cell phone. If the problem persists with the two types of connection, try resetting the network settings on your iPad. Please note that you erase all the stored passwords and Wi - Fi networks. To complete this step, go to settings > general > reset > reset network settings. After you restart your iPad, test the apps again.

    Take care!

When I try to open the Windows store it tells me that I am not connected to the internet, even if I am and won't let me access all the apps in the store. I can surf the web and do everything else on the computer but not open the app store.

First, clear the cache of the Store by opening a run window (Windows Logo key + R), by typing wsreset and pressing ENTER.

If it does not heal (it probably won't), check the internet connection, either press the Windows Logo key + X (or right click on the lower left corner) and choose Control Panel > small icons > Internet Options > Connections tab > LAN Settings (bottom) and remove the Proxy Server tick > OK, etc.
