Hello dogzbol,

I suggest that you run the CD burning, DVD and Blu ray discs convenience store which will automatically diagnose and solve common problems related to CD/DVD players.

a. open the reading and burning CD, DVD and Blu ray discs store by clicking on the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooting, and then click Troubleshooting.

(b) in the left pane, click Show all and then click on reading and burning CD, DVD and Blu ray discs.

You can also follow the link below and run them the Fix - it will automatically correct problems associated with CD/DVD drive:

  • How can I burn data on a CD - RW disc files?

I insert a CD - RW disc that is unused. The disk is not reformatted. How to format?

If not, is there another way that I can put files of data on CD - RW drives?

Right click on the e drive and select format from the list, if it's a blank disc, if there files already on it don't select format because the files will be deleted.

To add files or folders with the files it contains, drag the folder to the e-reader and drop them when it shows e-Drive copy, file records are better than separate files, it keeps the organization record which could contain hundreds or thousands of files in a single folder.

If it's a blank disc, you will not have to format the drive.

  • Tecra A9 - can't burn data on DVD - R

    I have a Tecra A9 with the TEAC DV-W28ECT.
I can write on CD - R and DVD + RW.

I've been trying to write on a DVD-R but default.

It can / should it be able to write to the latter?
Whatever it is, it is compatible with DVD + R?

    Hello

The CD/DVD drive supports all types of CD and DVD.

But the fact is that not all of the disks from different manufacturers are supported the same standards.

So it could be possible that different brands of DVD is not compatible, or the STRANGE would address all the discs correctly.

I made good experiences with TDK discs. I m using the CD - R and DVD-R TDK and in most cases the procedure of writing can be finished successfully.

  • How can I burn multiple files on a disc of SMEs without substitution of files?

I want to burn small video files on the same disc without replacing each other.

    Hello

    1. with the help of what program are you burning the disc?
    2. When you burned at the beginning of the disc, have you turned on multisession?
    Method 1:
If you had enabled multisession then you can resume the session by adding data to the drive and data that are present on the disk will be safe.
    Method 2:
If you did not select multisession,
    a. copy all data on the drive to the computer
    b. Format of the CD/DVD.
    c. burn a new disc by enabling multisession this time.

    I hope this helps.

  • How can iMovie 10.1.1 I burn a movie to a disc

How can I burn a movie to a disc. I have iMovie 10.1.1. Would appreciate some advice thanks.

    Hi Kenneth,

I understand you want to burn a movie you made in iMovie on a disk. It's something I can help you with.

The options for sharing of iMovie will be Email, iTunes, QuickTime, image and sharing in line with the first three options allowing you to share at the theatre of iMovie.

To get it on a disc, you will need to export to a QuickTime file and use the Finder or a third party app to burn it to a disk.

To save the video in QuickTime, follow the steps below.

    Create a QuickTime file

    1. Select a movie, trailer or clip in the browser.

    2. Click share in the toolbar and then click file.

    3. In the dialog box that appears, do one of the following:

      • Set the title of the movie shared: Click on the name above, and then type a new name.

      • Set the description of the shared film: Click in the Description field and type the new text.

      • Define the output format of the movie shared: Click the Format pop-up menu, and then choose an option.

You can choose to export just audio and video or audio.

      • Define tags for the movie shared: Click the Tags field, and then type the names of tags separated by commas.

      • The resolution of the movie shared: Click the resolution drop down menu and choose an option.

Not available resolutions are grayed out.

Note: You can export a clip of 4 K or a movie in its native resolution.

      • Define the quality of the output of the shared film: Click the quality drop and select an option.

To manually set the output of the shared film quality, click the pop-up menu quality, choose custom and made the slider to set the bit rate target.

When you drag the slider, the estimated file size that appears below the thumbnail preview is updated.

      • Choose a compression setting: Click on the drop of the compress, and then choose an option.

      • Add your film for the cinema: Select the Add CheckBox Theater.

    4. Click Next.

    5. In the dialog box that appears, type a name in the field save slot, or keep the default name, which is the name of the movie, trailer or clip.

    6. Navigate to the location where you want to save the file, and then click Save.

A progress indicator will appear on the right side of the toolbar. Click on the progress indicator to see the details. The indicator will disappear when the operation is complete.

Once the action is complete, the movie opens in QuickTime Player. A "successful Action" notificationalso appears.

To burn with the Finder, what you need to do is insert a flammable blank disc. If you need to make multiple copies, I would recommend doing a folder to burn. Take a look at the following article for specific details on how to burn using the Finder.

    https://support.Apple.com/kb/PH22148

You don't have other options when it comes to burning a movie on a disc. The next three links are a few third-party applications that I found in the Mac App Store by using the keyword "burn dvd" you might like more customization, if that's what you need.

    Hi Mrnno1,

By default, the version of Windows Media Player in Windows 7 is 12. To find out what version of Windows Media player that you use:

    1. Open Windows Media Player.
    2. Press Alt keys on your keyboard, you will get the file menu.
    3. Now, go to the help tab and select on Window Media Player.
    4. This will give you the version of Windows Media Player.

You can go through the links I gave in the previous post. They have a few videos that will guide you how to burn DVDs using Windows Media Player.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Can my laptop burn double layer DVD + R discs?

Hey, I have a laptop of HP G60-213EM

And I know that I can burn a DVD + R etc but can I burn double layer DVD + R discs? On my PC, I usually use Verbatim discs double layer. And really want a quick answer if anyone knows if my laptop will burn Verbatim dual layer DVD + discs R. thanks

Easy trolling for the congratulations but not so easy to give the right info. Yes, you have the DVD Multi burner double layer, so you can burn discs double layer. You must also good burning software. Two layers are difficult to do and you get a lot of roller coaster. The jump from Layer 1 to layer 2 to the burning often causes a problem. The best way to do it is to make a .iso to first and then burn.

Laptop with Windows Vista cannot read data DVD discs that burned same machine.  The discs work on another computer.  My laptop will read CD disks, he did, and it will play DVD movies. What's wrong?

    Hello

You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD &)
Burn DVDs and CDs and read DVDs). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 parts to no function
while others are doing so correctly.

Burning at low speed, or by using the master could help. A CD/DVD cleaner
    could help.

Brand of the CD or DVD drive can also be the problem. Low quality (cheap brands) are always
    issue.

CD/DVDs have a tolerance + - and your can read/write on the outside edge
tolerances of the disks. They may be delivered, but it is usually cheaper to replace
    the reader.

    ===========================================

This troubleshooting might not help if there are problems of alignment and wear it
    is worth it.

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then check the cables
both ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean the
power and data of the contacts with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the system manufacturer
and the manufacturer of the device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.
