I can't connect to my wireless network.

I can't connect to my wireless network.
I pressed the FN + F8 combination keys and a box will appear briefly on the screen then disaappears quickly.
I don't have time to click on anything, and also a message said that I have no network connection.

I disabled my firewall on a case where this caused a problem.
Can someone please

Hello

> I pressed the FN + F8 combination keys and a box appears briefly on the screen, then disappears quickly

This is nothing unusual. You need to pass only to the WLan and then disappear the wishes of the box! There is nothing wrong.

First, you must activate the WLan switch on the side of cell phones! Then use the FN + F8 key to switch to the WLan.
Then use the configuration Windows own option or a 3rd party WLan client configuration tool like Atheros or Intel ProSet utility. But it depends on the WLan card manufacture what utility can be used!

Then set the right settings such as the SSID, password encryption, etc.
If you have set all right should then work!

  • HP Pavilion Notebook 15-p119: Windows 10: since the execution of Windows update, I can't connect to the wireless network

    Hello, HP assistance.

I'm having a problem with the connection to my home Wi - Fi network. I am sure the problem has nothing to do with my material and is a problem of Windows only.

Here's the story: I was fortunately with the Internet from the network before and Windows was connecting automatically every time. But since the Windows Update recently it does not connect. Sometimes it says "unable to connect to this network" and then sometimes it comes up with a box asking me to enter a user name and a password. The thing is... I've never set up a password in Windows for Internet access, so I do not know why he was asking me now. I looked around the Internet via my Tablet (which is connected to the same Wi - Fi network fine, with my phone) and found that it is a common problem. And yet, none of the solutions work for me.

I wonder if the solution is somehow change the settings so that a password is not required to connect to a network. Or maybe enter a default user name and password when the box appears again. That said, the box did not come for a while.

    Help, please!

    Thank you for your query.

I understand that your mobile phone works well and you didn't have any problems with your wireless connection. After the upgrade to Windows 10, your wireless network is intermittent and will prompt you for a user name and password.

The guest is not the Internet, but rather to join your network. He is looking for the network name and password.

When I did a search for HP laptop 15-p119, I was unable to locate this model. Would you please check your model? How can I find my model number or product number?

After the upgrade to Windows 10 did you all your Windows updates?

Sometimes it fails to be installed automatically, if you can try running the Troubleshooting of windows update. to maybe gain others.

You run the HP Support Assistant since the upgrade?

If the problem persists, once you have established a test of Wi - Fi automatically update drivers Device Manager wireless.

    • Right click on the Windows button in the bottom left corner, then choose Device Manager

    • Click network to expand the list

    • Right click on the wireless adapter and choose put updated driver

Select "Automatically search for updated driver software" this month may start a download to install a newer driver.

  • Suddenly can't connect to the wireless network: limited connectivity or none, I tried to bugs, no help!

I have a laptop with Windows Vista. Recently, I upgraded my home wireless internet connection, which meant the laptop could go online (previously I had just used online office). It worked very well without any problems, until I enabled him to download updates windows (don't know if it was a service pack or only some updated files). Now, I am no longer able to connect, I don't always get limited connectivity or none even if the wireless signal is "excellent". I tried 2 ' difficulty his "from microsoft, including TCP/IP, no effect. I tried to turn off my IPv6 setting, no effect.

I am considering currently switch to XP Pro, even though I grew to like the 'look' of Vista, so it would be a shame. But I have to be able to get the laptop online!

  • Unable to connect to a wireless network for machine under windows 7.

I have a Lenovo Ideapad U450p with Intel Centrino 2 chipset.

The wireless card is Intel(r) WiFi Link 5100 AGN

For some reason I can't connect to any wireless network. I don't think it's a problem of router, the router can connect to other devices (there is no MAC filtering). I also tried to connect to the hotspot from my phone.

I can see all available wireless networks, so I think that the scanning function does not work correctly. I just can't connect to one of the networks. I tried to change the password wireless, even tried to disable wireless security.

I have a HP Photosmart 6180 and am using Windows Vista.  Both the printer and the computer indicate that they are connected to my wireless network and my computer shows my printer on the network.  When I try to print a document from my computer, nothing prints and printing on my computer says a mistake of the printer.  The printer itself works fine and HP diagnostics indicate that everything is ok.  Any suggestions?

  • How to remove or delete network domestic (not homegroup) so that I can access and connect to our wireless network.

I have Windows 7 and it is connected to the network via a home network (not homegroup - that is not disconnected).

We have a set up wireless network and the other computer, tv, xbox, cell phones, tablet, that all were connected successfully to our home wi - fi configuration. My Dell windows 7 is always connected through an old home network of a previous wired router. How in the world I remove, delete or otherwise change the settings so that I can connect to the wireless network. My computer does not even list or recognize the wireless network. Help, please. I looked and looked and can't find anything to help me.

My computer does not even list or recognize the wireless network.

If your machine does not list the wireless networks, this is caused by one of the following:

    • There are no active of nearby wireless networks.
    • The machine doesn't have a wireless adapter.
    • The wireless adapter is disabled.
    • The wireless adapter is disabled. Most laptops have a switch or some facility keyboard to turn off the wireless network card.
  • Connected to the wireless network, but can't see all the networks

I want to look at the properties of a wireless network that I'm not connected, but I can't do this, because even though I am connected to the Internet, some networks are appearing on the list. Please see the image as an attachment.

    Hello Nathaniel,

Thanks for posting your query on Microsoft Community forum.

According to the description of the problem, you are connected to internet but cannot see the wireless network through which you are connected. Perhaps, the reason behind this is that some settings get corrupted. Then try below mentioned methods and see if it helps.

Have you tried to restart the computer and check the status of your problem.

Try to run in built store and see if it helps you to solve the problem.

Automated convenience store is a tool that can find and automatically fix problems with your computer. These utilities are not designed to solve all the problems, but they are useful to try because they can often save your time and efforts.

    Run the network troubleshooter utility:

Try to follow the steps described in the article mentioned below and see if it helps you to solve the problem.

    Why can't I find a wireless network?

If the problem persists you can try the steps provided by Professor Grim replied on January 19, 2012 in the thread mentioned below.
