Second Hard Drive not recognized / climb (but it IS listed in the Device Manager)
I have a HP Compaq DC7800 convertible mini tower running than Win 7 Pro 64-bit
I installed a second hard drive, and while I can see listed in the Device Manager, it is not mounted.
That is to say, it is not in the computer > field at all.
The second hard drive is a Hitachi HDT721032SLA360 ATA Device
Under the hardware ID, it is said: IDE\DiskHitachi_HDT721032SLA360___ST2OA38E
I thought it was a driver problem. Device Manager indicates that it uses the Microsoft 6.1.7600.16385 driver.
I can't find a Hitachi driver for this player. My understanding was that this drive would NOT need drivers.
I have it in the plug of P5 (I think it is P5, it's at the end of the cable with the primary hard drive) and I have a data cable sata from the sata port on the rear of the disc in the slot sata on the motherboard next to the slot in the place where the main in drive is plugged.
The only sites that list the drivers for this drive are all spam (thanks, google) sites.
What I have to change something in my Bios?
Thanks in advance.
If the drive is listed in the device but not 'computer' Manager, it must be mounted or a new volume must be created. Please see HP - partitioning and names of hard drives (Windows 7) for more information on using the Windows Disk Management Console.

After new OS installation can not see all the devices connected on satellite
I recently reformatted the computer because I had a lot of problems, after doing so I tried to connect to the internet, on that I just plugged the ethernet cable, the light on the modem was flashing and I opened the network connections, but the network device was not there. e.g. connection to the LAN 1, etc.
I also have another problem. I opened the Device Manager and could not see any of the connected devices.
can anyone help?HI Kamal,
If you have reinstalled just your system from the recovery CD then you will also need to re - install one of your devices (including your Internet connections) installation CD that came with them.
The recovery CD contain only the Windows base operating system, as well as the software provided to Toshiba and to my knowledge, this does not include the ISP software or connections.
Kind regards

I can't use the keyboard to log in and see a keyboard in the Device Manager.
OT: Cannot detect the keyboard.
I tried several restarts too. I had put a password of account on account use controls and can connect once to turn them off. When the computer reboots, I can't use the keyboard to open a session and I can't even see a keyboard in the Device Manager.
Hi Luis,.
Could you try to change the USB port for the keyboard and check if it detects the keyboard?
Sometimes USB ports damaged leaving the USB device not detected.

I've never seen this problem before. The yellow triangle with the exclamation point is visible on this network adapter called Teredo Tunneling pseudo-interface. The driver update does not work, and apparently the last and the best driver is already installed for this device. I tried to disable and searching for the hardware changes. Whenever the device is displayed again with an indication of problems triangle and even yellow exclamation point. It is said that the device cannot start. I rebooted the machine to see if something has changed. There can be no.
I just uninstalled the device and scanned for hardware changes, but it has not been detected and remains missing under the network adapter category. I ran diagnostic system provided by HP software, but nothing seems to be defective.Hello
1. What is the code that you see under the status of the device and the exact error message?
2 have you made changes on the computer before this problem? As you have already tried updating the drivers and still you face the same problem, you can try to uninstall the existing driver and manually download the stand-alone version of the driver and install it.Step 1: first of all, I would say you temporarily disable any security software and then try to install.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-offNote: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.Step 2: Now try to install the drivers
a. open the Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
b. identify the sound card, right-click on it and select Properties .
c. go to the driver tab and click Uninstall to uninstall the driver associated with the device.
Restart the computer and install the latest driver.Reference: Tips for solving common driver problems
